I thought for a moment and agreed to make air magic my primer magic. It sounded more interesting than water magic and I was already
able to practice. This ensured that I didn't get bored. This was the beginning of my further education, except that instead of reading, writing and arithmetic, which I already knew well, I was taught other things. I learned magic basics, magic control, magic regeneration, mana vessel and magic theory. When it came to magic, I first learned air magic and the first spells I could practice. In my free time I cast spells for as long as my mana lasted, which was just three of the simplest spells. After that, I practiced magic regeneration.
But my most important exercise was training my senses, often in a playful way. We played a lot of hide and seek with the other children. That's why I quickly got a decent value in Sense Presence. I had thought for a long time about where to play with small children, because I was mentally a grown woman in the body of a little girl. But then I accepted it and told myself, have as much fun as possible in life. I stuck to that later whenever possible.
At the end of the year it started to snow and finding those hidden became more difficult. It was a good excercise though. We also had to help shovel snow. I did whatever it took to help the community. I was now part of it and wanted to make my contribution. My short training with Aslan ended in the spring. As soon as the snow had melted enough for the horses to walk on the paths, our three adventurers set off again. Our supplies could use a refresh. Korn and Aslan also became restless. After the long winter months, both wanted to go on adventures again. We said goodbye to the three of them at the gate that led through our palisade. I had learned a lot. One thing Aslan had taught me just the night before they left was how to use appraisal. He was very surprised that I already seemed to have the skill. This allowed me to look at my own status. I get several insights. My score in analysis was not high enough to see the progress in my skills. I saw what Aslan had already discovered in his analysis. So I had to somehow get XP to improve my Appraisal so I could see more in my status. Another thing that caught my eye was Sense Mana, a skill for sensing magic and mana points in living beings. Very interesting because it allowed me to track down anyone who had MP. Will this also work with monsters? Also I felt that my magic control and mana regeneration should improved over the last few months. So far I've been able to cast three spells. One is to create a light breeze, improve my hearing and move faster. How else did I actually learn new things? Only through teachers? Or are there also magic books? Aslan hadn't taught me anything about that and we didn't have any pure magicians in the camp. I had to ask who of us still knew magic. I only knew about it from Yuna and Kira, our huntresses. If it's true that skills gave bonuses to characteristics, then it was worth learning as many different skills as possible. I was excited to see how this would develop in the next few years.
The fact that I turned 6 over the winter and obviously had my birthday in this world was lost on me at the time.
