Harold was growing frustrated as the Rognarrs that he initially dismembered were running after him, along with the dozens of other healthy Rognarrs. One such Rognarr tried to bite his head off, so he grabbed its upper and lower teeth and opened wider and wider until he heard a snap.
Then he tossed the body towards another Rognarr, who tried to lunge onto him. Dozens of Rognarrs were chasing after him right now, and the further he ran, the more they joined the chase.
*BOOM*
Another shockwave claps to distract the dozens that were chasing him, while he went straight for another Rognarr that was injured, this one, however, lost both its legs because Harold used his hands to pierce them and rip it off.
With an idea, he stomped on the Rognarr with enough force to bury it, then used all his might to bluntly rip off its arm, then used its arm to impale it. He removed the hand from the corpse and began using it as a weapon.
This was his strategy for now: create some distance from the horde with shockwaves, then use the dead Rognarr's claws to impale the ones that tried to flank him.
But not everything was perfect; his back had huge gaping scratches, a Rognarr was hiding in the sand below and lunged at him while he wasn't watching, which caused this. So now he was extremely paranoid as he watched his surroundings.
Right now, they had fought for 7 hours with Harold spamming his tactics while also running away to prevent being ganged up on and crushed. Right now, it was nigh time as more Rognarrs surrounded him. He had long since achieved his task and felt the boosts, but he tried to make another one, but the system deemed it too low a standard and changed it.
[Task: Kill 50 Rognarrs
Reward: 12% Strengh; Speed 5%]
What he noticed disappointed him, but at least the system told him why this happened, since he completed the task and he's now stronger. Creating another task on the same creatures you defeated will decrease the rewards.
Another factor was that since he was stronger now, this wasn't much of a challenge to him, so the system decreased the rewards because he could easily accomplish this. Still, he didn't mind completing it; however, the only problem was that the Rognarrs were currently glaring at him. They had seen a trail of dozens of dead Rognarrs, so their Instincts if they had any, told them to avoid this person for now.
He wanted more, but he held back and decided it's time to leave after 7 hours of fighting, not that he was tired, it's just that he had other plans. "I need to be off planet when the scourge virus takes place, as for warning them or preventing it... don't make me laugh," Harold told himself as he repositioned the ship that blocked the sun. This froze all the Rognarrs again.
With this done, he flew back home to train more and fulfill his duties. While on his way back, he racked his brain on who to fight next, 'I can't fight Battle Beast yet, and Dinosuarus isnt alive, maybe the Geldarians would do?.... Ah, right, I could look for Colossus and his sister juggernaut.'
'Or should I just train and wait for Angstrom to be born....it will be easier for me to get stronger once in DC or Marvel, since there are many powerful beings. ' He thought about it numerous times; however, he had to be careful for what he wished for. The majority of these beings will likely possess magic and use it against him, but as he increases his endurance and speed, he can manage to eliminate them.
He chuckled as he said, "Let's be honest, the only reason why most of Superman's enemies live to see tomorrow and underestimate him is that he's a goody 2-shoes person with feelings for his enemies. I, however dont hold back...hehehe."
This was accredited to his training and indoctrination as a Viltrumite; there was no mercy or holding back. If one wanted to play such games, they would pay with their lives. He learnt this the hard way at a young age.
'What can I say...I've done what must be done, only strength matters...Danm, I'm starting to think like a Viltrumite, but it can't be helped, I've been here for 250 years, and will continue to be here for another 900 years till the cannon events begin. By then I'll probably be a bonefied veteran and strong as fuck.'
With his mind made up, he went back to the Viltrumite planet, specifically back to his quarters to check his next missions also train. This continued for another 3 years with nothing much to do, howver he still prepared to leave the planet. He didn't know the specific date of when the virus landed, so he wasnt willing to take any chances and immediately left to conquer more worlds while his kind suffered.
He had already seen Nolan at some point, first when he was training a few children and second when he was receiving lessons from their general; seeing him here, compared to the comics, felt exhilarating and somewhat exciting. 'The heir of Emperor Argall, I wonder what would happen if I revealed that he's the descendant of Argall. One thing's for sure, Mark won't be born as Nolan is now the Emperor and not a soldier, this could severely alter the plot entirely.'
He could only shake his head and continue leaving the planet, he wasn't interested in altering the plot too much, unless it gave him strength, he wouldn't bother.....
