Killing someone was not a big thing to Todd.

In his past life, he had been an underground boxer sponsored by various crime organizations in the underworld.

He had seen many things and done many things that hardened him.Full novel: Invincible: The Boys Template — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

That was why he didn’t hesitate when he killed the Flaxans, Mr. Liu, or Great Wall.

He was a superhero in name, but he knew better than anyone that being a hero didn’t always mean being merciful or endlessly forgiving.

Sure, he could simply lock his enemies away somewhere secure but the future was unpredictable.

There was always the risk they might escape, plot their revenge, or return with even greater force.

Todd had no desire to wait and see what cruel plans they might devise.

Better to cut the root out entirely, so it could never grow into something dangerous.

He was not Batman with a “no kill” policy.

If someone had no value to him, Todd would rather eliminate them cleanly.

______

Three days had passed since Todd acquired the dragon’s soul.

Many things had happened in that short time.

The members of The Seven had been fully recruited.

Mirage had informed him that the team was complete and their first official meeting was scheduled for today.

The new suits he had commissioned from Art were finally finished and delivered.

Todd had already changed into his own, and the difference was immediately noticeable compared to the basic suit he had taken from Galbaki.

The material felt smoother, stronger, and far more advanced, crafted with a quality that spoke of careful design.

Even now, he found himself wondering exactly how Art managed to create such incredible gear; the suits he had made for Omni‑Man and Invincible were renowned for being nearly indestructible, capable of withstanding massive attacks before showing any sign of tearing.

Todd stood before the mirror, adjusting the fit and offering a satisfied smile.

He looked as imposing and impressive as ever.

Just as he finished checking his reflection, the familiar semi‑transparent system panel appeared before his eyes.

[Splinter Template: 100%] This chapter is updated first at g.com.

[Congratulations on completing the template]

[Reward: 1x Template Roll, 1x Firecrackers Panty]

“Finally,” Todd muttered, a genuine smile crossing his face, until his gaze fell on the second reward.

Floating in the air beside the notification was a simple pair of undergarments.

He stared at it, his expression shifting to one of utter disgust.

He picked it up between two fingers, as if it were something filthy, and tossed it straight into the waste bin beside the sink.

During the grinding process to reach 100%, Todd had done many things.

He had replicated many of the defining traits and actions of the original character: he had ordered one of his clones to shave his head completely bald, matching the look; another clone had been sent to act as the official spokesperson for a local hero in a small American town, handling public relations and appearances.

When the progress bar had reached 70%, his powers had already improved noticeably, his cloning limit had risen from 30 to 40.

But after that, the bar had stalled, refusing to move further no matter what he tried.

To push it to completion, he had created five ordinary, independent clones.

Then he had ordered them to carry out one of the most infamous and depraved acts associated with the Splinter from The Boys: the creation of a human centipede.

Before giving the command, he had cut off their memory link to his hive mind, ensuring he would not see, hear, or feel anything that happened.

His final instruction was simple: once the deed was done, they were to end their own lives immediately.

It was a disgusting act, one he wanted no part of beyond giving the order but it was necessary to complete the template.

Todd was a practical man; he was willing to do whatever it took to achieve his goals, no matter how unpleasant the means, especially since it was not he carrying it out, but his clones.

With the template complete, Todd felt his duplication power grow significantly stronger.

He could feel that his capacity had grown even further, he was certain he could now create far more than the previous limit of forty clones but for now, there were more important matters to attend to: rolling for his next template, and meeting his new team.

[Ding! Template complete. Would you like to roll for the next available template?]

“Yes.”

A glowing digital wheel materialized in the air, its surface filled with countless names and images that blurred into streaks of light as it spun rapidly.

After several seconds, the rotation slowed, and finally, it clicked to a stop.

[Template Acquired: Translucent]

A new energy coursed through Todd’s body as the power merged with him.

He checked the panel and smiled.

Translucent’s ability was useful, though it had clear limits.

Unlike Invinsigal or Violet, who could turn their entire body and clothes invisible, Translucent’s power only affected his skin, turning it into a carbon metamaterial that bent light around him.

His suit and anything he wore remained visible, making him look like a floating, headless ghost in costume.

Still, Todd found it far more practical than many other powers he had seen in that universe.

He had read enough about Compound V to know it often granted strange, useless, or even disturbing abilities, such as the Supe in the comics who possessed a set of teeth inside her vagina, a power she used as a weapon during intimacy.

At least Translucent’s skill was functional.

It was also interesting to note that this character had never appeared in the original comics, existing only in the television adaptation.

Curious to test it, Todd turned back to the mirror.

Acting on instinct, he triggered the power.

The carbon structure of his skin rearranged itself instantly, bending light away.

In the reflection, he appeared almost like a ghost, his skin was completely gone from view, leaving only his suit floating in mid‑air, its fabric catching the light and moving as he shifted.

He deactivated it, then tried it again several times to get a feel for how it worked, before finally settling back to normal.

Stepping out of the bathroom, he found one of his clones waiting patiently in the hallway.

This duplicate was dressed in a specialized suit of his own: matte‑black from head to toe, designed for stealth and protection.

It featured tactical armored plating, a completely featureless full‑face mask, and tinted goggles, giving him the look of a silent, deadly ninja.

Todd smiled at his creation and nodded.

“Let’s go, Black Noir.”
