Todd descended gracefully through the air, cape billowing behind him like a war banner.

He landed beside Atom Eve, who was still struggling with the strange device clamped over her face.

Without a word, he reached out, gripped the metallic-tech mask with one hand, and crushed it into scrap like it was cheap plastic.Full novel: Invincible: The Boys Template — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Sparks flew as he tossed the ruined device aside.

Eve gasped, sucking in fresh air.

“Thank you…”

“Yeah,” Todd said casually, flashing her a confident smirk.

“Go help your team. I’ve got this.”

He turned toward the Flaxan army.

His eyes swept over the ranks of soldiers, tanks, and hovering gunships.

A slow, arrogant smile spread across his face.

The Flaxans didn’t hesitate.

Dozens of them raised their rifles and energy cannons, aiming directly at the new threat.

Todd planted his feet.

One foot forward, arm cocked back low in a perfect stance he had practiced in secret these past few days, a little tribute to a certain yellow-haired hero from his past-life animes.

Power surged through his body.

“Texas… Smash!!”

He threw the punch with explosive force.

BOOOOM!

A devastating shockwave erupted forward.

The sheer wind pressure tore through the front lines like a hurricane.

Flaxan soldiers were hurled backward, limbs snapping and bodies tumbling through the air.

Tanks flipped end over end.

A section of street cracked violently.

Several Flaxans had their arms and legs ripped clean off by the raw kinetic force.

Todd laughed loud and full of savage delight.

“That felt good!”

He didn’t waste a second.

His eyes locked onto the heavy tanks, the ones with the most firepower.

Those had to go first.

He blitzed forward in a burst of super speed, slamming into the nearest tank like a human missile.

His fist punched straight through the reinforced armor plating.

Before the crew could react, he lifted the entire tank over his head and hurled it into two others, causing a massive chain explosion that lit up the street.

More tanks opened fire.

Heavy plasma cannons and railguns hammered into him from multiple angles.

The impacts were strong enough to push him back a few steps, but Todd simply laughed again.

His nigh-invulnerability held firm.

The attacks felt like strong punches at best.

“Come on, you bastards!” he roared.

He flew low and fast, shoulder-ramming another tank and flipping it onto its back.

He punched through the underside and unleashed a short, concentrated burst of heat vision inside the vehicle, cooking everything within.

Then he turned to the next group, grabbing a Flaxan soldier by the head and crushing his skull with casual brutality.

Blood splattered across his gold bracers.

The killing spree truly began.

He spun, delivering a brutal kick that bisected another Flaxan at the waist.

His eyes glowed bright red as he swept his heat vision across a group trying to flank him, slicing them in half with surgical precision.

The smell of burnt flesh filled the air.

He was a whirlwind of violence.

Todd grabbed a Flaxan by the leg and used him as a living club, smashing him into his comrades.

The Teen Team and Invincible watched from a distance in a mix of awe and horror.

“Holy shit…” Rex Splode muttered.

Robot, who had just rebooted his systems, scanned the battlefield and found one of the Flaxans lost a wristband and aged.

“Analyzing…” His eyes widened.

“There. The wristbands are protecting them from the time stream. They emit a stabilizing frequency of 49,000 kilohertz.”

Robot immediately emitted a powerful counter-frequency.

Across the battlefield, every Flaxan wristband shattered simultaneously.

The effect was instant.

The Flaxans began aging rapidly, skin wrinkling, bodies weakening, weapons dropping from frail hands.

Panic erupted among their ranks.

They broke formation and sprinted desperately toward the closing portal.

Todd rose into the air, hovering dramatically above the chaos.

His eyes burned crimson.

“Not so fast.”

Twin beams of intense heat vision lanced downward like divine judgment.

He swept the beams across the retreating forces near the portal, vaporizing dozens in sweeping arcs.

Screams filled the air as charred bodies hit the ground.

Only a handful made it through before the portal snapped shut. You are reading on g.com, the official source.

Silence fell over the devastated downtown street.

Todd dropped down lightly, cape settling around him.

The Teen Team and Invincible approached cautiously.

“Way to go, psycho…” Rex Splode said, looking at the gore surrounding Todd.

“Uhhh… but who the hell are you?”

Todd turned, flashing a perfect, camera-ready smile.

“I’m Homelander.”

Eve stepped closer, still catching her breath.

“Thank you for the help, Homelander. We… we really needed that.”

“No problem,” Todd replied smoothly, voice full of charm.

“Happy to be of service.”

The civilians who had been hiding began emerging.

Then the clapping started.

Slowly at first, then louder.

People cheered, shouted his name, and pulled out phones to record videos and take pictures despite the carnage around them.

Todd floated a few feet off the ground, waving one hand with theatrical grace, smiling like a true superstar.

The American flag cape fluttered behind him in the wind.

He looked every bit the hero the people desperately wanted.

He glanced back at the Teen Team.

“I should go now.”

“Oh no, that’s fine,” Rex said sarcastically.

“We’ll handle the clean-up, asshole!”

Todd gave them one last smirk, then shot into the sky with a sonic boom, leaving a red-white-and-blue streak behind him.

Rex turned to Invincible.

“Hey, you know that guy? Looks kinda like you, except with the laser eye thingy.”

Mark shook his head, still staring at the sky where Todd had vanished.

“No… I don’t know him either.”

His phone buzzed.

Mark checked it quickly.

“I gotta go too,” he said, taking off abruptly.

“Yeah, shit! You’re running away too!” Rex shouted after him.

Back in the sky, Todd flew toward home, the synchronization bar in his vision steadily climbing.
