The air in Layer Three echoed with the thundering rhythm of industrial rebirth.

Where silent, dust-covered cartilage chambers once stood empty, hundreds of bio-pneumatic hammers slammed against calcified anvils.

Dense streams of radiant violet ichor roared through newly installed glass-and-brass conduit pipes, channeled directly from the awakened Eldritch Core in Layer Five to power the forge fires below.Full novel: Isekai Overseer: Reign of the Behemoth — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Valen stood on the central catwalk overlooking the newly designated Sovereign Drydock—a cavernous, arching rib-chamber six hundred feet long.

Beside him, Karen leaned over a wide drafting table, unrolling the holographic blueprints projected by Valen’s System interface.

Master Vanya stood on her other side, her iron calipers suspended in mid-air as her jaw slackened in utter disbelief.

“A four-hundred-foot warship…

made of living calcified cartilage, powered by a pressurized marrow-combustion heart, and floated by localized bio-magnetic anti-grav nodes…” Karen breathed, her amber eyes scanning the sprawling, intricate schematics.

She pushed her brass goggles onto her forehead, looking up at Valen with a mixture of terror and fierce technical obsession.

“Valen, this isn’t a ship.

This is an airborne leviathan.”

“Can you build it?” Valen asked smoothly.

“Build it?” Karen let out a breathless, wildly excited laugh, slapping her hand against the drafting table.

“With the energy conduits you unlocked in Layer Five?

Yes!

But not overnight.

We have to construct the bio-foundry gantry first just to cast the hull plates.”

Master Vanya nodded slowly, running her calloused thumb over the schematic’s engine housing.

“She’s right, Sovereign.

Even with thirty master smiths and the penal laborers working round-the-clock shifts, casting the marrow-engine core and growing the hull framework will take at least thirty days.

One full month of non-stop forging.”

“Then begin immediately,” Valen commanded.

“You have unlimited access to Layer Five’s energy grid.

Build the foundry, lay the keel, and make sure the Leviathan’s Dread is ready to fly when that month is up.”

While the foundries roared into life, Valen spent the next three days sealed inside the sovereign study in Layer One.

Dozens of leather-bound ledgers, ancient parchment scrolls, and historical maps salvaged from Oakhaven’s private libraries were stacked high across his heavy cartilage desk.

Lyra sat beside him, her Nerve-Scribe Crown glowing with a soft, steady sapphire aura as she translated ancient High-Imperial texts into his mind.

Valen dropped a centuries-old history scroll onto the desk with a heavy sigh, rubbing his temples.

“Nothing,” Valen muttered, his voice cold with frustration.

“Every history book in Oakhaven mentions the Behemoth mountain range as a simple geological anomaly.

Every record regarding pre-Imperial history has been systematically scrubbed, redacted, or burned.”

“It’s not an accident, My Lord,” Lyra said softly, her fingers gently lacing through his.

“The Grand Duchy and the Imperial Church have spent three centuries rewriting the historical canon.

During your ascension in Layer Five, you didn’t just see a titan…

you saw a continent-class seed vessel from a war before the Empire existed.”

“And if the Empire knows what these titans really are, they know how to kill them,” Valen said, his dark blue eyes narrowing as his purple System runes flared along his forearms.

“I cannot command a power I don’t fully understand.

If I am going to defend The Bone-Grave against the Imperial Coalition in ninety days, I need unredacted history.”

“There is only one place in the entire realm where pre-Imperial codices and titan-anatomy archives are kept untouched,” Lyra murmured, her eyes looking toward the northern horizon mapped on the desk.

“The Grand Archives of Aethelgard,” Valen said softly.

The capital city of the Empire.

The heart of Imperial power, located three hundred miles north—and the residence of Duke Aldous Drake.

By the fifth evening, the strategy was set.

In the quiet privacy of Valen’s inner chambers, his core circle gathered around the high stone map-table: Lyra, Karen, Saphira Vex, and Vanguard Commander Marcus. Follow the newest chapters on NovelPing.

“Traveling to Aethelgard as Sovereign Valen is suicide,” Saphira stated plainly, her gold silk dress rustling as she leaned over the map.

“The moment your name registers at the capital’s river gates, Duke Aldous’s inquisitors will arrest you for high treason.”

“Which is why I am not traveling as a Sovereign,” Valen replied.

“While Karen oversees the thirty-day construction of the air-cruiser, I will travel to Aethelgard under a forged identity—as a high-tier merchant delegate from the Golden Scales Syndicate seeking academic permits.”

“I can prepare the forged merchant papers and guild seals within twenty-four hours,” Saphira said, a sleek, calculating smile spreading across her lips.

“My syndicate has safehouses along the northern road.

You will have a full aristocratic carriage, guards, and unrestricted access to the capital’s commercial district.”

“I am coming with you,” Lyra said firmly, her hand resting on Valen’s chest, her mind sending a resolute, unshakeable pulse through their neural link.

“My Crown can bypass the magical detection wards in the Grand Archives, and my spatial link will keep us connected to The Bone-Grave.”

Marcus stepped forward, slamming his fist against his chest.

“I will remain behind to command the garrison, My Lord.

If any provincial scouts come near Oakhaven or the Bone-Pass while you are away, they won’t live to report it.”

“And I’ll make sure the air-cruiser is sitting in the drydock waiting for you when you return,” Karen added, stepping up to Valen’s other side and wrapping her arms around his waist, resting her head against his shoulder.

“Just promise me you won’t blow up the Imperial Capital before I get to test my ichor-cannons on it.”

Valen smiled, pulling Karen close and pressing a lingering kiss into her messy hair before turning to cup Lyra’s cheek, drawing her into a deep, reassuring kiss.

The month ahead would be dangerous.

He was walking directly into the lion’s den, sneaking into the very capital where his enemies held absolute sway.

But when he returned, he would bring back the forgotten secrets of the ancient gods—and a war-fleet ready to shatter the skies.

Valen looked out the high skull balcony toward the dark northern road, his purple eyes burning with absolute, sovereign resolve.

“Pack the carriage,” Valen commanded.

“We leave for Aethelgard at dawn.”
