“Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh… whoosh, whoosh, whoosh…”
“Snowflakes fluttering… north wind whistling…”
“Heaven and Earth a vast expanse…”
Walking to the entrance of Water Curtain Cave, Sun Wukong’s internal BGM automatically loaded as he looked at the scene outside.
The waterfall of Water Curtain Cave had directly transformed into a standing glacier.
An entire river was frozen solid.
Outside, large snowflakes were still falling, and Flower-Fruit Mountain had directly entered winter.
It was pure white.
The entire Flower-Fruit Mountain looked as if it had been sealed by ice.
“This… when did this happen?”
Sun Wukong looked at the scene before him, his face bewildered.
“This morning… this morning…”
“When we woke up and looked, the entire Flower-Fruit Mountain was frozen, and it kept snowing heavily.”
“Yeah, it was clearly hot yesterday, but it snowed overnight.”
Listening to the little monkeys chattering, Sun Wukong felt a headache coming on.
In the Investiture of the Gods, there was an instance where Jiang Ziya froze Xiqi.
But in Journey to the West, damn it… there’s no such scene!
Is it a cross-over, seriously?
This is too much, isn’t it?
“Oh, right, why are there only a few of you?
Where is everyone else?” Sun Wukong suddenly felt strange.
Out of thousands of monkeys, he only saw a dozen or so little monkeys.
“Grandpa Ape instructed everyone to go look for food.”
“Grandpa Ape said that this snow is strange, and Flower-Fruit Mountain is all frozen.
We need to find food quickly and prepare supplies, or else we’ll starve and freeze to death.”
“Stone Monkey, you’re so amazing, do you know why it suddenly snowed?”
Sun Wukong shook his head, not speaking, but he naturally knew what was happening in his heart.
Damn it, if he ever found out who was behind this, he’d beat his head crooked.
It was too much.
To actually use biological weapons…
“Hmm… you all stay here in the cave and keep watch.
I’ll go to the seaside to look for some food.”
After speaking, Sun Wukong directly jumped from Water Curtain Cave to the ground and headed towards the seaside.
“Wow!”
“Stone Monkey is so amazing, he jumped down from such a height?”
“Of course!
If Stone Monkey wasn’t amazing, how could he have defeated the Wolf King?”
“I wish I could be as amazing as him…”
“If only Stone Monkey could be our Great King…”
“No, I heard from my mommy that our Great King will mysteriously die after being king for one day.
Do you want Stone Monkey to die?”
Sun Wukong, who hadn’t gone far, shook his head and smiled as he listened to the little monkeys’ words behind him.
He had actually become an idol to the monkeys of Flower-Fruit Mountain.
Walking all the way to the seaside where he was born, Sun Wukong was stunned.
Not only was Flower-Fruit Mountain frozen, but even the nearby seaside was also frozen.
“This…”
Sun Wukong frowned slightly.
It was obvious that the person who made this move was not weak.
Such a great divine ability and grand gesture were extraordinary!
“Huh?
What the heck?”
Suddenly, Sun Wukong saw a figure on the ice of the distant sea.
Upon closer inspection, it was indeed a figure, seemingly ice skating…
What the heck!
Once he confirmed that the other party was really ice skating, Sun Wukong’s composure shattered.
“Hey!
Come here!”
After a moment of hesitation, Sun Wukong shouted loudly.
On the distant sea, a beautiful young girl with dragon horns on her head was playing happily.
This young girl was Ao Xiaomeng, the daughter of the East Sea Dragon King.
How to put it, Ao Xiaomeng had lived for over a thousand years, and it was her first time seeing the sea frozen and snowing.
She was having a blast playing.
Hearing someone call her, Ao Xiaomeng turned her head to look.
Then she started running, took a jump, and “whoosh” she slid over.
Sun Wukong looked at the other party’s movements and thought to himself, “What a chuunibyou girl…”
“So cute… er, what a handsome monkey, why did you call me?” Ao Xiaomeng asked after sliding over.
After the other party approached, Sun Wukong guessed her identity.
This girl had two dragon horns on her head, so she was definitely from the Dragon Clan.
“I called you because I saw you playing by yourself, and you looked quite lonely.
Shall we play together?” Sun Wukong said with a smile.
“Okay!
Then let’s go ice skating on the sea together?”
Ao Xiaomeng didn’t think much of Sun Wukong’s words and accepted directly.
Clearly, this was a simple-minded girl who hadn’t seen much of the world.
Now Sun Wukong could confirm her identity; she was eighty percent likely to be the Dragon King’s daughter.
Little Dragon Girl?
Thinking of this, Sun Wukong pondered for a moment and said seriously, “Actually, I think the way you’re playing isn’t good at all.”
“Come back with me, and I’ll teach you how to play.
It’ll definitely be better than what you’re doing.”
Ao Xiaomeng looked at Sun Wukong, shook her head, and refused, “What’s more fun?
I’m not going.”
Sun Wukong’s eyes darted around, and he said, “Don’t be scared.
I live on Flower-Fruit Mountain, and we have many little monkeys there.”
“Also, I see you sliding on the ice, and I have an even more fun idea.”
“What?” Ao Xiaomeng asked curiously.
“On Flower-Fruit Mountain, there’s a waterfall, and below it is a river.
We can sit at the upstream of the river and slide down with the current.”
“Oh, right, we can also have a race to see who slides the fastest and best.
Want to go?” Sun Wukong asked Ao Xiaomeng expectantly.
Ao Xiaomeng imagined it in her mind as she listened to Sun Wukong, and it seemed to pique her interest.
“Hmm, alright then, let’s go.” Ao Xiaomeng agreed.
…
East Sea Dragon Palace.
Guanyin and the East Sea Dragon King were seated at a stone table.
“Great Master Guanyin, your arrival at my East Sea truly brings glory to my humble abode.”
“Great Master, please!”
The East Sea Dragon King said, picking up his tea.
Guanyin picked up her tea, took a sip, and said, “East Sea Dragon King, there’s no need to be so polite.
I should be the one apologizing for causing trouble.”
“Oh, what trouble?
It’s just a small matter.
If there’s anything else I can do for you, Great Master, please don’t hesitate to ask.” The East Sea Dragon King replied with a smile.
Guanyin smiled and said nothing more.
It must be said that for Guanyin to bring the Spiritual Sense Great King to cause trouble for Sun Wukong, freezing Flower-Fruit Mountain without notifying the East Sea Dragon King would certainly not do.
If you ask why…
The answer is… Guanyin’s goldfish accidentally ran into the East Sea and then caused mischief near Flower-Fruit Mountain.
Guanyin came to the East Sea to find her goldfish.
It was hard for her to search alone, so she asked the East Sea Dragon King for help, as the East Sea was his territory and he had many people to help search.
When the matter was finally exposed, Guanyin was merely deemed to have been lax in her discipline…
In Journey to the West, the most common occurrences were powerful beings’ mounts and attendants descending to the mortal realm to cause mischief.
Who could one complain to?
It was a classic method of shifting blame.
“Bad news!”
“Lord Dragon King, the Princess has been abducted by that Stone Monkey and taken back to Flower-Fruit Mountain!”
Just then, a Shrimp Soldier and the Turtle Prime Minister ran in, shouting.
What the heck?
The East Sea Dragon King instantly stood up, glaring at the two and reprimanding, “What did you say?”
“How could the Princess be abducted by the Stone Monkey?”
“Also, what are you all good for?
Didn’t I tell you to watch her together?”
