Hey guys, thank you so much for all the support lately, seriously, i really appreciate it!
There’s gonna be 2 chapters today btw, second one should be coming pretty soon after this…
and yeah, don’t forget the power stones as usual~
…
“Hah… Hah…”
Jogo half-knelt in the crater, gasping for air as he kept his guard up.
Thank god he was a cursed spirit and could use cursed energy to rapidly heal his body.
Otherwise, that last strike would have ended it all.
“WHOOSH!”
Jogo watched [Sukuna] charge at him with blinding speed.
From a tiny speck in the distance to being close enough to clearly see those cold eyes—it took less than half a second.
Jogo was drenched in cold sweat.
He didn’t even have time to think.
He slammed both hands onto the ground.
Over a dozen waist-high volcanic mounds erupted from the earth.
The air within a hundred-meter radius warped and shimmered from the intense heat.
The miniature active volcanoes charged to their absolute limit.
And erupted simultaneously!
Pillars of magma, dozens of meters wide and carrying the concussive force of extreme heat, instantly swallowed [Sukuna] whole!
—[Dismantle]—
An invisible, flying slash effortlessly parted the sea of fire!
Not a single drop of magma even grazed [Sukuna]!
“Ember Insects!!”
Hundreds of six-legged purple cursed insects poured out, filling the sky.
Their wings buzzed together in a deafening whine.
The moment the sound wave hit, the disposable curses dive-bombed their target.
“WHOOSH!”
[Sukuna] didn’t even spare them a glance.
He casually swept one hand across, sending a wave of slashes through the air.
The buzzing vanished beneath the sound of the air being cut apart.
Every Ember Insect split cleanly from head to tail.
As [Sukuna] kept moving, tiny bursts of light popped overhead like fireworks.
Jogo’s face twisted in ferocity as he threw up a hand sign: “Domain Expan—”
What arrived first was a fist moving so fast it was merely an afterimage!
Jogo could only frantically raise his arms to block.
But the moment the attack made contact, his instincts screamed that something was horribly wrong!
Wrapped around [Sukuna]’s hand was positive energy generated from Reverse Cursed Technique!
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM————!!
The negative cursed energy and the positive energy violently annihilated each other upon contact!
Almost half of Jogo’s body melted away.
If he hadn’t acted fast and let go of that part, his whole upper body would have vanished.
Still, his left arm, most of his chest, his abdomen, and a chunk of his face had been completely disintegrated by the positive energy.
Jogo wasn’t afraid of dying.
He was afraid of dying without giving his absolute all for the future of curses!
He desperately condensed cursed energy into his right hand.
High-pressure magma gathered within it.
His slightly dazed eye locked onto [Sukuna], who was now at point-blank range.
‘AT THIS DISTANCE, IT WILL HIT!’
However, [Sukuna]’s combat program wasn’t going to deliberately tank a hit out of morbid curiosity.
The atmosphere tore open.
Multiple slashes erupted simultaneously!
“WHOOSH!”
“WHOOSH!”
“WHOOSH!”
The ground and rocks in their path were sliced with mirror-smooth cuts!
Three ashen limbs were severed and sent flying…
The cursed spirit’s purple blood splattered against the ground almost at the exact same time as the severed limbs.
All four limbs lost, upper body in ruins!!
For a cursed spirit that can quickly regenerate with cursed energy, this was not technically a fatal injury.
If cursed energy was a cursed spirit’s HP bar—Jogo was still far from the critical red zone.
But real life isn’t as simple as numbers.
It would take a few seconds for him to heal enough to move, and the enemy was right next to him.
Without a doubt, it was checkmate.
In just a few moves, Jogo—one of the top Special Grade Cursed Spirits—was pushed to the edge of certain death.
Right now, the only difference between Jogo and a maggot was that a maggot wasn’t burning at several thousand degrees.
Hanging from [Sukuna]’s stomach like a pendant, Kaito shook his head.
“Tsk, tsk, I beat you so badly you couldn’t even open your Domain.”
“The two of us are just way too strong!”
In the original story, Jogo fought 15-Finger Sukuna for many rounds only because Sukuna was toying with him.
This [Sukuna] wasn’t interested in that.
His face showed no emotion while he pointed his fingers forward like blades.
Jogo lay on the ground, unable to dodge.
A mere few seconds was nothing compared to his nearly century-long existence as a cursed spirit.
Yet right now, those few seconds felt like an unattainable eternity.
Dazed, Jogo felt his mind drift into a pure white space that seemed endless.
“Is… Is it almost over?” Jogo stared blankly at his fully intact but ethereal body.
Was this his life flashing before his eyes?
Or was it a premonition of his soul’s final destination before his life ended?
“A century wasted, ending as nothing but a handful of ash…”
“Mahito, Hanami, Dagon… I wish you success. See you in the wasteland a hundred years from now.”
A somewhat familiar voice suddenly interrupted out of nowhere.
“What’s this? Already giving your dying words?” You are reading on g.com, the official source.
Jogo froze and turned around.
An unfamiliar… human?
“What’s with that look?” Kaito asked, confused.
Even though he was also a bit surprised that he managed to enter this space, Jogo didn’t need to look at him like that…
“…”
Kaito tilted his head slightly.
He noticed his own body and figured it out immediately.
“Oh, right. In your eyes, I’m just a Suku-Blob. But I guess in a place like this, the true form of the soul is revealed.”
Kaito nostalgically pinched and poked his own human body, which he hadn’t seen in less than a day.
He then looked at the wary Jogo and teased, “Now you know why I schemed and tricked you guys earlier. As you can see, I’m 100% human.”
“Hmph! Just a creature whose entire existence is woven with lies,” Jogo scoffed, unshaken as he brought up his ideals.
“We curses are born from the purest negative emotions that you humans desperately try to hide. We are the true humans.”
“Yeah, yeah, sure, I’ll admit you guys are humans. Happy?” Kaito waved his hand dismissively.
He didn’t want to argue with Jogo.
Any plan that relied on someone else, even if you were willing to sacrifice yourself, was so foolish that Kaito didn’t even want to talk about it.
If Kaito were leading the cursed spirits, all he would need was for Mahito to follow his orders.
It was common knowledge that if a Jujutsu Sorcerer was killed by ordinary physical means, there was a chance they would turn into a cursed spirit.
And Mahito could alter the brain structure of a normal human into that of a sorcerer.
Whether they had an innate technique was a different story.
Just like Kasumi Miwa and Kusakabe, they were sorcerers without innate techniques.
Innate techniques weren’t important.
What mattered was altering normal humans into sorcerers, and then researching how to increase the probability of them turning into cursed spirits upon death.
As long as there were results, mastering such an immortality-level life-extension method would completely negate the need to bitterly struggle to destroy human society.
Just directly seduce the top 0.1% of human society.
Then slowly encroach downwards.
Let the early cursed spirits lead the late cursed spirits!
Become eternal energy lifeforms!
Join the glorious evolution together!
Don’t overthrow human society—just hijack it and use it for yourselves.
It’s just that with the Disaster Curses’ mindset, they would probably never think of such a roundabout method of nation-building.
Kaito picked his ear and said casually, “I’m not here to debate ideals with you.”
“This is my very first suicide-bombing operation. I can’t let the curtains fall after just two or three moves.”
“At the very least, we need some more entertaining, grand spectacles!”
“Ganbare, ganbare~” Kaito grinned.
“Your comrade just arrived to save you, you know~”
“Domain Expansion—”
“—[Ceremonial Sea of Light!!]”
A spherical black barrier expanded outward, completely engulfing [Sukuna] just as he was about to unleash a slash.
Jogo snapped out of that strange, accelerated trip to the afterlife.
When he saw what was happening, panic set in.
“HANAMI—!!!”
