The system notification rang in Jin’s ears, its tone mechanical and calm.
[Low-Interest Loan Opportunity x1]
Looking at the bizarre reward, Jin couldn’t help complaining internally.
‘As expected of the King of Loans.
Even the reward is related to borrowing money.
666.’
As for what a so-called low-interest loan actually meant…
He didn’t even need to ask the system.
It probably allowed him to use an extremely small sacrifice as a Binding Vow in exchange for a huge return.
Jin thought for a moment, then silently recited,
‘I bind myself to never eat breakfast again for the rest of my life, in exchange for a two-hundred-percent increase in my total cursed energy.’
One second.
Two seconds.
Three seconds…
Nothing happened.
Jin cursed internally.
‘This so-called low interest isn’t that impressive.
I’m making such a huge sacrifice and Heaven still won’t approve my loan!’
While he was thinking, Megumi’s alarmed shout rang beside him.
“Jin, dodge!”
Megumi stared warily at Yuji Itadori in front of him, still holding his hand sign in place.
“Curses can pretend to be people.
Nobody knows who this guy really is right now!”
Jin lightly flicked away some cigarette ash and remained exactly where he was without moving.
“Doesn’t matter.
That guy can’t hurt me anyway.”
A slashing cursed technique was almost meaningless against someone like Jin, who was immune to physical attacks.
As long as Sukuna didn’t expand his Domain, Jin was basically standing in an unbeatable position right now.
As for whether one-finger Sukuna could use Domain Expansion?
Jin wasn’t entirely sure.
But Megumi was right next to him anyway.
Worst case, Jailbird Megumi could summon Mahoraga and blow himself up together with Sukuna.
Yuji Itadori was using the wet wipes to clean the shoe print off his face.
Noticing Megumi’s guarded stance, he raised both hands in surrender.
“I’m fine, Fushiguro.”
Yuji glanced sideways at Jin, who was continuously exhaling smoke.
“This is the companion you mentioned, right?
He’s amazing!”
His voice was half envious and half excited.
“Controlling fire is so cool!”
Megumi frowned.
No matter how he looked at it, this seemed like a curse deliberately acting friendly in order to lower his guard.
Just as Megumi hesitated, a familiar voice suddenly rang out nearby.
“What’s going on?”
Megumi and Jin simultaneously turned toward the voice and spoke.
“Gojo-sensei!”
“Gojo-sensei.”
Gojo raised a hand in greeting.
“Yo.
So it really was Jin.
The moment I saw all these flames, I figured it was probably you.”
He leaned forward slightly and looked at Jin with some confusion.
“Why are you here?”
Jin said nothing and simply lifted his chin toward Megumi beside him.
Megumi lowered his hands and let out a huge breath of relief as he answered,
“I called him here to help.”
“Is that so?”
Gojo rubbed his chin, then suddenly smiled.
“You’ve only known each other for two days and you’re already this close.
Nice, nice!”
Then he casually asked the two of them,
“So, where’s the Special Grade cursed object?”
Yuji slowly raised one hand and answered somewhat weakly,
“Sorry.
I ate it.”
Jin took the last drag of his cigarette and comfortably narrowed his eyes.
“In simple terms, he turned into the jinchuriki of that Special Grade cursed object, right?
Looks like he can control it.”
The comparison was vivid enough that Gojo understood instantly.
“A jinchuriki?
Sukurama?
Hahaha!
Interesting.”
He walked forward in a few large steps and curiously examined Yuji from close range.
Yuji stood still, his face turning slightly red.
Mainly because Gojo had gotten ridiculously close.
Having a face suddenly shoved right in front of his own was genuinely embarrassing.
Gojo pointed at the shoe print still not fully wiped from Yuji’s face, then turned toward Jin.
“Don’t tell me that shoe print was your work too.”
The corner of Jin’s mouth rose.
“Of course.
That cursed object got so angry it kept screaming about killing me!”
Having someone violently kick him in the face was probably a humiliation Sukuna hadn’t experienced once in the last thousand years.
Of course, this was only one-finger Sukuna.
If it had been three or four fingers, Jin wouldn’t have dared jump around so recklessly.
After all, acting like that was a very easy way to get diced into minced meat by Malevolent Shrine.
That said, Jin wasn’t actually afraid of Sukuna.
What a joke.
How could someone with cheats be scared of a local genius native to the world?
Once Jin obtained his own Domain, he absolutely had to go red-faced and furious against Sukuna in a direct firepower contest and see which one of them could punch harder!
Jin turned toward Yuji with a teasing expression.
“He lost control of the body the instant he attacked.
He didn’t even get to touch me.
He must be absolutely furious right now~”
As everyone knew, Yuji and Sukuna shared their senses.
There was no doubt Sukuna had heard the mockery as well.
Unfortunately for him, there was absolutely nothing he could do at the moment.
He could only quietly overheat by himself, turning red and cosplaying a Jalapeño.
“Are you really okay provoking him like that?”
Gojo raised an eyebrow, a trace of surprise entering the way he looked at Jin.
Should he call this the fearlessness of a newborn calf that didn’t know the tiger was dangerous?
Or was Jin simply a reckless idiot who didn’t understand the situation?
“Right.
You probably don’t know.”
Gojo snapped his fingers as though he’d just remembered something and began fulfilling his teacherly duty to explain things with exaggerated seriousness.
“That Special Grade cursed object isn’t some random piece of garbage picked up by the roadside.”
“It’s one of the fingers of the King of Curses—Ryomen Sukuna.”
At this point, Gojo suddenly lowered his body and leaned his face close to Jin.
His tone also abruptly deepened as he tried to create a creepy, frightening atmosphere.
“Ryomen Sukuna was the strongest sorcerer from a thousand years ago, during the golden age of jujutsu!”
“Super strong, super brutal, super terrifying—the legendary existence himself!”
He deliberately emphasized every “super” and waited for the silver-haired boy in front of him to show even the slightest negative emotion.
Yuji blinked and lowered his head toward his stomach, speaking in disbelief.
“That guy…
is really that strong?”
Jin casually burned the cigarette butt in his hand to ash, letting it scatter through the air.
He turned his head, looked directly at Gojo, and asked a question Gojo hadn’t expected at all.
“Compared to Gojo-sensei, who’s stronger?”
Gojo froze for a moment, then straightened up.
One hand slipped into his pocket while the other waved casually.
His tone instantly shifted from horror-story narrator back to everyday conversation.
“If Sukuna regained all of his power, he might be a little troublesome…”
He paused, the corner of his mouth lifting slightly before confidently giving his answer.
“But without question, I’m stronger!”
