“Five points have been added.”
Kinoshita kicked away the “cursed tool” beneath his feet and walked out of the alleyway without a ripple of emotion.
“An acquaintance, huh…”
The man in front of him had been running away non-stop ever since laying eyes on him.
After a moment of confusion, Kinoshita finally realized who this person was.
It was the head of the Zen’in clan from his era.
His cursed technique was…
Scorching Brow Entanglement, or something like that?
By the time they launched the subjugation squad against him back then, this guy still hadn’t grasped Domain Expansion, nor had he even learned Reverse Cursed Technique.
The moment Kinoshita had thrown out his first grid of Dismantles, this guy was already out cold.
Did he sign a pact with Kenjaku ahead of time?
Kinoshita casually formed a cloth of shadows and wiped the blood off the toe of his shoe.
This guy was just as disgusting as ever.
Running away is one thing—Kinoshita hadn’t originally planned on killing him anyway—but running away while cursing him out was another.
Sigh.
Kinoshita’s palm pressed against the man’s corpse.
Instantly, a flurry of fine slashes shredded the body into dust.
Although Kinoshita hadn’t understood exactly what the guy was yelling, it didn’t stop him from sending him to the afterlife with a single Dismantle.
“Kogane.”
“Your current score is 65 points.”
“Ah, while you’re at it, look up Dhruv, Ryu Ishigori, Kurourushi, Takako Uro, and Hajime Kashimo for me.”
“Right away!”
The Kogane under Kinoshita’s command spun in mid-air for a moment before landing in front of him.
Location: Tokyo No.
2 Colony.
Dhruv: 10 points.
Ryu Ishigori: 46 points.
Kurourushi: 29 points.
Takako Uro: 35 points.
Hajime Kashimo: 5 points.
Rules Added: 1.
Looking at the scores, Kinoshita wasn’t surprised.
Ryu Ishigori’s fighting style was too wide and destructive.
If he ran into a life-or-death struggle, the cursed energy he blasted out could easily level a building.
The resulting collateral damage would likely add some non-sorcerer points to his score.
However, to think Kurourushi had already made its move?
That thing he had buried in the Sendai Colony had actually started acting up?
Kinoshita thought for a moment and roughly understood what had spurred Kurourushi into action.
Originally, Dhruv would deploy his domain over a massive area.
If Kurourushi wasn’t careful, it would lose a massive amount of “cursed energy” just by bumping into Dhruv’s barrier.
Therefore, after hunting for a while, Kurourushi would be forced into dormancy because of Dhruv’s presence.
But because Dhruv had chosen to retract his domain due to Kinoshita’s interference, Kurourushi no longer needed to fear Dhruv’s territory and could roam freely.
Looking at its score, and factoring in the rather sparse population of ordinary people left in the Sendai Colony, about three or four sorcerers must have died to Kurourushi’s swarm, while the rest were civilians.
However, restricted by his Binding Vow with Kenjaku, Kinoshita had no intention of returning to the Sendai Colony.
The moment Kurourushi ran into Dhruv, it would once again face the threat of “death” and be forced back into dormancy.
And coincidentally, the place where Kinoshita had buried Kurourushi wasn’t very far from the gymnasium where Dhruv was stationed.
Dhruv might already be brawling with Kurourushi as they spoke.
As for Ryu Ishigori?
If Ryu Ishigori was in the Tokyo No.
2 Colony, there might just be a showdown between him and Hajime Kashimo.
Then again, something like that probably happened later on in the original story too, right?
After all, Okkotsu hadn’t killed Ryu; he had spared his life.
Strolling down the street, Kinoshita walked into a manga store.
“Ah… Naruto.”
Kinoshita picked up a volume from the counter, flipping through it while recalling the Jujutsu Kaisen plotline from before he transmigrated.
Jujutsu High would definitely establish rules in the Culling Game.
That inter-colony travel rule should be coming up soon…
As for that guy who could “rival” Okkotsu…
Kinji Hakari, was it?
He remembered Hakari was heading to the Tokyo No.
2 Colony.
There should be a fight between Kinji Hakari and Hajime Kashimo.
Kinoshita flipped through the latest issue of Boruto, read a few chapters, and speechlessly put it back on the shelf.
Tokyo No.
1 Colony, huh…
The few people who appeared in the manga here were Reggie, that exploding guy…
what was his name again?
And then there was Takaba and Hiromi Higuruma.
Higuruma…
He’d just have to take it one step at a time.
Although on paper, according to the scores, the strongest person in the Tokyo No.
1 Colony right now was Hiromi Higuruma, the actual strongest was probably that Takaba guy.
Grabbing a bag of potato chips, Kinoshita ate as he walked out of the empty manga store.
“Hey, you up ahead!”
A young male voice called out from Kinoshita’s side.
Kinoshita turned his head—and his eyes landed on a guy wearing half a “Superman” costume, while the other half of his body was almost completely exposed. Find the original chapter at g.com.
Takaba?
Crunch.
Kinoshita crunched down on the chip in his mouth, then observed the “cursed energy” flowing around Takaba’s body.
Automatic cursed energy defense.
It could probably be used for offense as well, and it likely activates even if the user is completely unconscious of it.
“You’re one of those ‘Players’, aren’t you!”
“You’re acting just like a player in an RPG, barging into people’s houses and rummaging through their stuff!”
What the hell is this guy talking about?
“I saw quite a few weapons lying around on my way here. Speaking of which, shouldn’t a ‘Hero’ collect weapons along their journey? Why did you just throw them away!”
“Ah, that’s because I’ve already ‘graduated’.”
Kinoshita looked at the weapons that had mysteriously appeared in Takaba’s hands—these were the cursed tools belonging to the players he had defeated along the way.
Moreover, their trajectory of appearance had completely eluded Kinoshita’s perception.
Is it because of his innate technique?
Kinoshita pondered the effects of the technique possessed by Takaba in front of him—it should be something like creating things out of thin air, right?
The kind of physical defense that could tank an explosion head-on was probably just a byproduct of that “cursed energy” surrounding him.
Kinoshita waved the weapon in his hand.
Caduceus constantly shifted and transformed into various weapon forms.
“What the heck! A weapon that does whatever you want is way too ‘OP’! As a GM weapon, shouldn’t it belong in the hands of an admin?!”
Kinoshita suddenly felt his hand lighten.
Following that, his Kogane appeared beside him.
But the Kogane had clearly undergone some peculiar changes—for example, it had sprouted a tiny human hand, and for another, that tiny hand was currently gripping Caduceus.
Kinoshita’s mouth curled into a smirk, and he raised his hand.
“What are you, Tom Cat?”
『Dog: Dismantle』
The slash instantly swept toward Takaba’s body, but Kinoshita noticed something—Takaba’s eyes weren’t looking at him; they were looking right at the suddenly manifesting slash.
So heavy…
no, time has slowed down?
Kinoshita watched as time suddenly slowed, and within that slowed time, Takaba performed a leaping backflip, as if casually dodging the slash.
The invisible slash carved a massive trench into the street behind Takaba, while Takaba himself was cleanly bisected into an upper and lower half.
Then, in Kinoshita’s eyes, Takaba’s lower half did several backflips in mid-air, before seemingly realizing that its upper body hadn’t followed suit.
It then turned around at the waist and ran back.
“Because I’m a cartoon character! Being split in half top-to-bottom is no problem at all!”
As Takaba spoke, he forcefully twisted his incorrectly attached lower half.
His bottom half spun like a top before finally realigning properly—while Takaba himself struck a proud, spread-eagle pose.
“See! Perfectly fine!”
Then, as if the glue had suddenly failed, Takaba’s lower half fell to the floor with a smack, leaving his upper half suspended in mid-air for a second before crashing to the ground.
“Pfft—”
Kinoshita burst out laughing, while Takaba pushed himself up from the ground, looking at Kinoshita with eyes full of bright anticipation.
“What the hell is wrong with you? That was way too funny.”
