The principal’s office.

The air sat heavy, like the sky before a storm breaks.

Masamichi Yaga’s voice rang through the room.

He stood facing the students lined up before him, rage so dense it was nearly solid.

“Gojo Satoru!

A mission report is for stating facts — not for drawing manga!

Which Cursed Spirit exactly did you expect to read those scribbles?!”

“Geto Suguru!

Is that how you act as a comrade?

Just letting him run wild?!”

“And the first-years!

Nanami, Haibara!

Don’t think keeping your heads down means you’re off the hook!”

Gojo Satoru picked at his ear.

His expression said it all: yeah, yeah, got it, I’ll draw again next time.

Geto Suguru’s eyelids drooped.

The corner of his mouth tugged into a faint, wry line.

If anyone could actually control Gojo Satoru, then he wouldn’t be Gojo Satoru.

Kento Nanami glanced at his watch and began calculating how many minutes remained until he could clock out.

Only Yu Haibara stood perfectly straight, like a young poplar, listening to the principal’s lecture with complete and earnest sincerity.

Shoko Ieiri leaned against the wall, a schadenfreude-laced comment already forming on her lips.

Then.

BOOM,,!

A thunderous crash.

The solid wooden door of the principal’s office exploded inward as if rammed by an invisible beast, splinters and dust billowing in its wake!

In the doorway, a tall figure stood silhouetted against the light.

Plain black clothes did nothing to hide the lethal architecture of his body.

One hand in his pocket.

The other raised in a casual wave.

“Yo.

All my youthful comrades, present and accounted for.”

Fushiguro Toji’s voice, lazy, effortless, carrying enough force to shake the walls, cut straight through the stunned silence in the room.

“Perfect.

Saves me the trouble of tracking you down one by one.”

In that instant, every person in the principal’s office became a study in contrast.

The irritation on Gojo Satoru’s face vanished.

For a half-second he looked genuinely startled.

Then it shifted, replaced by the frenzied, lit-up excitement of a hunter who’d just spotted apex prey.

Geto Suguru’s pupils shrank.

This man.

What was he doing here?

The final payment for the Star Plasma Vessel mission had fallen through.

He should have long since dissolved into the crowds and disappeared.

The curl of Shoko Ieiri’s smirk climbed higher.

This was shaping up to be far more entertaining than Gojo Satoru’s report.

And Kento Nanami, the moment he recognized the figure in the doorway, what little color remained in his face drained away completely.

It was him.

The man from the beach in Okinawa.

The one whose mere presence had made the back of Kento Nanami’s neck prickle, like a target painted between his shoulder blades.

The absolute anomaly who had shattered every assumption Kento Nanami held about what “strong” actually meant, with nothing but pure, physical violence.

Quietly, without moving a muscle, Kento Nanami began running calculations in the back of his mind: the steps required to withdraw from the school right now, and the realistic odds of landing a position at an ordinary financial firm.

Only Yu Haibara’s eyes lit up like a switch had been flipped.

He looked like a kid who’d just spotted his favorite celebrity.

“It’s Toji-senpai!”

Masamichi Yaga stared at the thoroughly demolished door lying on the floor.

Then he raised his eyes to the uninvited natural disaster standing in the doorway.

The veins at his temples climbed to the surface one by one.

“Fushiguro.” He bit down on the name.

“Toji.” It came out through gritted teeth.

“What are you doing here?!

And my door!”

Toji ignored Yaga’s fury entirely.

He crossed to the desk in a few long strides, pulled a crumpled piece of paper from inside his jacket, and slapped it onto the desk with a sharp smack, the whole move carrying the energy of someone laying down a challenge.

“I, Fushiguro Toji, am here to apply for a job.”

Apply.

Everyone except Haibara stared with expressions of pure, uncomprehending bafflement.

With trembling hands, Masamichi Yaga picked up the paper.

…

Masamichi Yaga’s vision went dark.

He nearly blacked out on the spot.

What in the absolute hell was this garbage?!

“Pfft — BWAHAHAHA!”

Gojo Satoru leaned in for a look and completely lost it.

He doubled over, laughing so hard he couldn’t stand straight.

“Hahahaha!

Oh, I can’t, a monkey without a single drop of Cursed Energy actually walks into a Jujutsu High and says he wants to be a teacher?!”

He pointed at Toji, tears streaming down his face.

“What’s the class, how to squeeze your brain out through your muscles?!

Ahahahaha!”

The lazy grin on Toji’s face went still.

A vein rose slowly along his temple.

“Kid.” He turned his head, unhurried.

The green of his eyes had gone flat.

The fever that belonged to “Maito Toji” was draining out of them.

“Looks like before you ever set foot in my Youthful Taijutsu class, I need to fit you in for a remedial lesson.

Subject: Respect Your Teacher.”

Sparks crackled between them.

One wrong word and the whole room was going up.

Masamichi Yaga’s palm cracked down on the desk.

He should have thrown this lunatic out on the spot.

Him and that resume, which was less a job application and more a declaration of war.

But.

Yaga’s eyes moved to Gojo Satoru, still grinning like he’d won something.

Then to Geto Suguru, whose expression had gone carefully neutral.

He thought about the Star Plasma Vessel mission report.

This man, alone, had used purely physical force to crush hundreds of fanatical cultists in an instant.

No Cursed Energy.

No technique.

Just his body.

The students here were strong.

But they’d gotten comfortable.

Undisciplined.

In front of a creature that had been honed specifically for killing, they were still not enough.

This man was an irredeemable bastard.

A walking catastrophe in human skin.

But his craft, in this particular domain, was without question Special Grade.

A dangerous idea took root in Masamichi Yaga’s mind and refused to leave.

Maybe the answer was to throw the most vicious catfish into the pond.

Stir the water into chaos.

See what survived.

“You want to be a teacher.” Masamichi Yaga breathed in, slow and deliberate, channeling every last scrap of willpower into not putting his fist through Toji’s face.

“Fine.”

Toji dropped the killing intent like a coat.

That easy, shameless grin came back as he looked at Yaga.

“That’s the spirit, Principal!

Trust me.

Give me one semester.

I’ll hand you back a legion of youth that can knock Special Grade Cursed Spirits flat with their bare fists!”

“Words cost nothing.” Masamichi Yaga rose from his chair.

His eyes went blade-sharp.

“This school has no use for big talk.”

“You want the position?

Prove it.”

“A live combat test.”

His gaze swept the room, landing on each student in turn.

“Show me you’re qualified to stand in front of them and teach.”

Toji’s grin spread wide.

Brilliant white teeth.

He rolled his knuckles, one hand against the other, and the joints cracked like a string of firecrackers going off.

“My absolute pleasure.”

The group walked to the training grounds in silence.

Gojo Satoru trailed behind, his face open and unashamed, pure contempt layered over pure hunger for a fight.

Geto Suguru pressed two fingers to his throbbing temple.

He already knew.

Today was going to be one of those days that got carved into the school’s history, and not for any reason worth celebrating.

And Kento Nanami quietly drew out his phone and opened a search.

“Relevant provisions of the Labor Standards Act of Japan, personal injury caused by a teacher to a student.”
