Next morning.

The next morning at the academy, he decided to focus only on training. However, fate decided something else for him.

A cute girl with short, red hair and gleaming ruby-red eyes came towards him from the front.

She looked down, not raising her chin for some reason, and her posture stiff and nervous.

She was muttering something under her breath; only she knew what that was about.

From what little he could catch, it sounded less like idle mumbling and more like she was rehearsing something.

Whatever it was, it clearly wasn’t all good; her eyebrows kept knitting together like she’d lost her place for the third time in a row.

Not having focus in front, she bumped into Prince, the royal figure, and the person who would kick any academic student by using his power.

But that would only happen if the person she bumped into wasn’t a transmigrator.

Her butt hit hard onto the rough surface of the concrete path, and several Letters fell over her head. "Ahh, sorry, sorry, sorry, Lord Prince."

He gave her his hand to support her as she stood up.

As she stood up, she bowed precisely at a 60-degree angle and kept apologising for bumping into him.

"Sorry, my apologies. I wasn’t watching ahead; it is my fault. Please accept my apologies, Lord Prince."

’Ughh She...’

’Ahh, I don’t quite remember her from my previous life.’

He didn’t really like whining types of girls who would cry over little things.

Though the girl who kept apologising to him seemed quite cute to him.

"It’s okay. By the way, what’s your class?" he asked.

"Resy Prestina, 4th year, class D. Holy magic, spirit summoner," she instantly replied to him with the utmost honesty.

’She is from the Prestina family! I need her; in the future, the Prestina family will have great influence in the kingdom. Besides that, she’s unexpectedly cute.’

"Hmm, are you a postwoman or something?"

"...?"

He helped her pick up the scattered letters.

"No. I mean, you are carrying so many Letters. Or perhaps they are confession letters you got from the boys of our academy?"

Redness spread across her face as she heard those words from him.

"Ughh, no. No one has ever confessed to me yet, and it’s not like I want someone’s confession but—"

He cut her off, and a soft chuckle escaped his throat. "Ok, ok, I got it, Miss Prestina. Haha~ Can I ask you something?"

"Yes, of course."

"If they are not anyone’s love letters, then why are you carrying around so many letters?"

The question hit her too hard. "Ugh, these letters were given to me by my friends; t-they are busy, so they asked me for help to pass the Letters to another student."

He turned his back and waved his arms as he left. "Okay, well then, see you around then."

"Ahh, wait, Lord Prince!"

"Hm?"

"There’s a letter for you too."

"If it’s a love letter, then don’t give it to me."

"It doesn’t seem like a love letter." She plucked out the letter and raised her hands towards him.

"Ahh, thanks. Can you open and read it for me?"

She gave a small nod of agreement.

She quickly opened the envelope and read the letter inside it.

The letter was not too long, as if to save the prince’s time and not disturb him.

Lord Prince, if you can spare some time, we would like to meet you at the backside of the academy. We will be there.

Liam Drenheart~

That was all that was written inside the yellowish letter.

Prince did not seem to have time for them, but the fact that they are Resy’s friends, using her for all sorts of work, made him want to meet them.

"Ok then." He stood up, stretching his spine. "You are coming too, Miss Prestina."

She stuttered. "M-me?"

"Is there anyone else besides us?"

Resy fell into step half a pace behind him, still clutching the rest of her letters against her chest like a shield.

She didn’t ask any more questions, though Prince could practically hear the ones she was holding back.

Why he wanted her there, what business he had with Liam Drenheart, whether this was somehow her fault for delivering the letter at all.

He decided not to volunteer any answers.

As he arrived at the location, he saw a boy from Class D and a girl from Class B, both fourth-years.

Unlike some of the thug students, their uniforms were kept neat and proper.

They maintained their status before a royal figure.

They bowed as soon as they sensed the Prince’s presence, with a girl behind him, Resy Prestina.

"Greetings to our future king." They said at the same time.

’Tck, bootlickers.’

"Haha, what do you want to talk about?" Prince tried to act the way they wanted him to, just like how a greedy, over-powerful prince should act.
