Just then, the gangster grabbed the child’s hand and said,
“That wasn’t in the rules.”
Ran looked at him coldly.
“Enough.
There are only two games left.
Don’t do anything stupid for now.”
The gangster stared at him for a moment before silently stepping back.
At that moment, a strange expression appeared on Ran’s face.
(Ran’s Inner Voice)
“Aiko mentioned this child in her diary…”
“At that time, I didn’t pay much attention to it.”
“But now…
everything seems to be connecting together.”
His gaze fixed on the child standing in the distance.
“Ami’s hand being fractured…”
“The attempt to intimidate Seo…” Read this novel at g.com for the best experience.
“And now what almost happened to this child…”
“If he hadn’t surrendered at the right moment…”
“That crazy boy would have actually broken his arm.”
Ran narrowed his eyes.
“Are these really just accidents?”
“Or is someone deliberately targeting the participants?”
A cold breeze passed across the field.
The uneasiness growing inside Ran became even stronger.
“The remaining two games…”
“Maybe it’s time for me to step onto the field myself.”
Just then, a black luxury car stopped outside the school gate.
The windows were completely tinted, making it impossible to see who was inside.
The door opened.
A man and a woman stepped out.
There was nothing particularly unusual about their expressions, but the moment they appeared, the Principal, Vice Principal, and several senior teachers immediately walked toward them.
Without any announcement and without drawing attention, they quietly escorted the two visitors toward the school building.
The strange thing was that almost nobody in the crowded sports festival noticed their arrival. This chapter is updated first at g.com.
Everyone’s attention remained focused on the ongoing games.
Some had come to watch.
Some had come to compete.
And some…
Perhaps they were there for an entirely different reason.
Ran’s eyes briefly followed the mysterious pair as they disappeared into the building.
Then he quietly muttered,
“Who exactly are those people…?”
But there was no one there to answer him.
The noise of the festival continued as if nothing had happened.
And yet…
It felt as though the real game was only just beginning.
