Xie Youci was practically slapped awake.
His brow furrowed slightly as he slowly opened his eyes, meeting a stunningly beautiful face.
Chi Yang’s eyes were rimmed red, and the tip of her nose was flushed.
She looked at Xie Youci with a pitiful expression, tears seemingly on the verge of falling at any moment. “You owe me.”
“Owe you what?”
“Of course, you owe me my innocence!”
Chi Yang blurted it out almost instantly, insisting that Xie Youci had taken advantage of her unilaterally the night before.
Xie Youci lay lazily stretched out on the bed.
He raised a hand to massage his throbbing nose bridge, remaining silent for a long moment before letting out a low, amused laugh. “Owe you your innocence?”
Xie Youci slowly sat up, the blanket at his waist sliding aside, revealing his defined obliques and the enticing lines of his abdominal muscles to Chi Yang’s view.
Oh my god…
This sight was too provocative, too seductive!
Chi Yang’s face flushed.
She wanted to look away, to escape this intimate scene that should never have happened between them.
But just then.
The back of her neck was suddenly gripped.
Chi Yang’s face was forcibly turned back, her gaze lifting to meet Xie Youci’s arrogant, narrow eyes.
“Miss Chi.”
He addressed her with what seemed like utmost politeness, his voice low and husky, his breath lingering between them, the heated curve of his thumb and forefinger pressed against the sensitive nape of her neck.
Chi Yang’s heart pounded erratically like drumbeats.
She wanted to flee.
But Xie Youci lazily lifted his chin. “I suggest you take a closer look. Last night, who exactly violated whose innocence?”
As his words fell.
Xie Youci leaned in, pressing closer to Chi Yang.
Chi Yang: !!!
She immediately tried to scramble away, wrapped in the blanket.
But Xie Youci seemed determined to make her see clearly, reaching out to brace his hand against the headboard behind her, trapping her within the narrow confines of the space.
Their breaths mingled intimately between them.
Chi Yang’s heart raced.
As she looked up, the marks on Xie Youci’s neck and collarbone, along with the scratches on his chest, came into view.
Chi Yang’s pupils contracted.
Fragments of last night flashed through her mind—
Inside the bar, the lights were alluring.
She seemed to have been drunk, striding toward Xie Youci in her high heels, haughtily leaning into his embrace.
“I think you look quite handsome.”
Chi Yang’s cheeks were flushed with the rosy hue of intoxication. She tugged at the hem of Xie Youci’s shirt, slipped her hand inside, and even looked up to bite his collarbone. “Abdominal muscles, tender boy~”
The fragmented memories ended there.
Chi Yang felt as if struck by lightning.
She froze, not even daring to breathe. Out of the corner of her eye, she could still see the bite mark on Xie Youci’s collarbone.
Oh my god…
That was actually her bite!
And last night, she had been the one to make the first move!
Chi Yang was filled with regret. If she had known this would happen, she would never have drunk last night!
After all.
She and Xie Youci had been at odds since they were in the womb.
At one year old, she had flung the paint she’d chosen during her first birthday ceremony all over the four-year-old Xie Youci’s face and body;
At six, she had flushed Xie Youci’s painstakingly completed summer homework down the toilet;
At twelve, she had swapped Xie Youci’s speech draft, nearly causing him to recite a melodramatic love letter in public;
At eighteen, she had even stolen Xie Youci’s underwear, leaving him to go home from the swimming pool with nothing underneath.
And now…
They had somehow ended up sleeping together!
And it was her, drunk, who had taken the initiative, bitten his collarbone, groped him all over…
And even called him “abdominal muscles, tender boy”!!!
Wahhh…She would never have the face to see anyone again in this life!
Chi Yang immediately pulled the covers over her head, kicked Xie Youci away, and lay back on the bed as if life had lost all meaning.
“I don’t care.”
Her petulant voice came muffled through the blanket. “Anyway, you have no proof.”
Xie Youci: “…”
He lowered his gaze, glancing at her from the corner of his eye. His eyes, narrower and longer than peach blossom eyes, usually looked sharp and aloof, but whenever he smiled, they carried a captivating, flirtatious charm.
And at this very moment.
He seemed to be slowly focusing his gaze, his dark pupils scrutinizing her as if under examination.
Chi Yang warily wrapped the blanket tighter and scooted backward.
They were simply too close.
Xie Youci’s breath mingled with hers.
But Chi Yang showed no sign of embarrassment. Instead, she lifted her chin proudly. “Why are you looking at me like that?”
After a long while.
Xie Youci seemed to confirm something from her expression and slowly withdrew his gaze.
“Looking at a heartbreaker.”
“Looking at someone who won’t take responsibility.”
“And refuses to admit it.”
He chuckled lightly. “Nice.”
That series of resentful remarks made him sound like an innocent, pitiful dog who had been deceived and abandoned, ready to run away from home.
Chi Yang: ?
She poked her head out from under the blanket, her eyes filled with resentment. “You didn’t lose out by sleeping with me!”
Xie Youci didn’t respond.
He simply lifted his chin, once again blatantly displaying the evidence of the crime—the marks scattered across his shoulders and neck—and even tapped his finger against the slap mark on his face.
Chi Yang was still struggling. “Even if that’s the case, you can’t prove I was the one who bit you!”
“A little dog bit me?” Xie Youci shot her a sidelong glance.
“…Possibly.”
“Fine.” Xie Youci lazily withdrew his gaze, clearly accustomed to her stubborn denial. “Next time something like this happens, I’ll remember to record it.”
Chi Yang: “…”
She hugged the blanket sadly, resting her chin on her curled-up knees. “But I’m the one who lost out…”
The young lady’s eyes were dangerously red.
Even though she was the one who got drunk and harassed Xie Youci, causing him to lose all restraint, and even though she had bitten and scratched him all over, it still seemed as if she had suffered some great injustice.
Xie Youci narrowed his sharp eyes.
Watching Chi Yang’s eyes grow redder and redder, the pride in his heart gradually crumbled.
Finally, he sighed in defeat. “Alright, actually, I didn’t touch you last night.”
Chi Yang reached an arm out from under the covers, pointing at the mess on the floor. “Then how do you explain all this?”
“We undressed, but we didn’t go all the way.”
“You’re that much of a gentleman?”
“…”
Xie Youci let out an exasperated chuckle, leaning in close again with one hand braced on the bed. “Chi Erer.”
He called her by her little-known nickname.
Chi Yang instinctively shrank back.
But Xie Youci suddenly reached out, wrapped an arm around her waist, and pulled her forcefully into his embrace. “Do you really need me to remind you—”
He kept his eyes fixed on her.
While reaching toward the nightstand, he picked up the two marriage certificates that had been stamped just yesterday.
“Last night was supposed to be our wedding night.”
“Miss Chi was passionately all over me, and I couldn’t resist being drawn in. In that situation, even if I hadn’t stopped and went all the way, it would have been perfectly reasonable and legal.”
“No one lost out.”
“Or do you really need me to call you—”
“Mrs. Xie?”
