“Ring-ring-ring!”

A series of bells rang throughout the Ninja Academy, signaling that class was about to begin.

Hatake Shibu arrived at the classroom door and cautiously peeked inside.

Seeing that his teacher wasn’t paying attention to the entrance, he breathed a sigh of relief.

He then slowly began retreating, inching his way back inside.

The other students were already used to this sort of behavior from him.

After all, he was one of the few people in the class who could rival Uchiha Obito when it came to troublemaking.

And Shibu was extremely petty.

If they exposed him directly, there was a good chance he’d write their names down in his little notebook.

The chunin teacher at the front of the classroom noticed Shibu’s movements.

The veins on his forehead immediately began throbbing.

He had already fallen for this trick once before.

That incident had earned him plenty of ridicule from his colleagues in the teachers’ office.

This time, however, he had no intention of letting Shibu get away with it.

He spun around, and the piece of chalk in his hand shot toward Shibu’s head like a kunai.

“Bang!”

Shibu narrowly twisted his head aside, dodging the deadly projectile.

The piece of chalk slammed deep into the desk in the first row.

“Sumimasen! Sensei, I’ll go back to my seat right now!”

Cold sweat poured down Shibu’s forehead as he tried to brush the matter aside.

The chunin teacher smiled at him.

“Is that so? Then why wasn’t your name called during attendance this morning?”

Shibu stared at his teacher in shock.

He hadn’t expected the man to resort to such a vicious tactic.

Wait!

How did he know what I was thinking?

Shibu immediately turned his head and stared at all the students in the classroom.

Who was the traitor who had leaked his methods?

The students around him immediately turned their heads away, refusing to meet his eyes.

Damn, you actually want revenge too?

A cross-shaped vein suddenly appeared on the teacher’s forehead.

He roared, “Get outside and stand there! Think carefully about what you’ve done!”

Shibu looked thoroughly displeased as he started walking toward the door.

But just then, another figure came sprinting toward the classroom from a distance.

“You still have the nerve to show up? Do you know what time it is? Do you even want to become a shinobi anymore?”

Shibu immediately unleashed a furious barrage at the newcomer.

Uchiha Obito hadn’t even had time to react before he bent forward in a perfect ninety-degree bow.

“Sumimasen! On my way here, I saw an old lady who had gotten lost. I was helping her, so I was late!”

The teacher’s temper flared even more.

He clutched his chest and pointed toward the two troublemakers at the door with a trembling finger.

His mouth twitched several times before he finally shouted,

“You two! Both of you… get outside! You’ll be standing out there for the entire day!”

At this moment, the teacher had only one thought.

He needed to get transferred away from this class as soon as possible.

What good deed had he done in his previous life to deserve meeting these two?

If he continued teaching them, he was certain they would shave several years off his lifespan.

He was still young, yet he already had white hairs.

What a disaster.

Only then did Obito realize that Shibu had deliberately dragged him into this mess.

He immediately wanted to explode in anger.

But Shibu subdued him in an instant.

Then he turned toward the teacher with a smile.

“Sensei, look! Uchiha Obito is trying to resist the law by force. I’ll throw him out right now!”

The teacher had recovered somewhat and nodded.

Shibu completely ignored Obito’s resistance and directly threw him outside.

Just as he was about to return—

“Bang!”

The classroom door was suddenly slammed shut.

It nearly hit him.

“Tch! So petty! I’ll remember this grudge!”

Shibu pulled a small notebook from inside his clothes.

He flipped to the final page, took out a pen, and began writing.

This was already his fifth notebook.

The previous four had been completely filled and were sitting inside a drawer at home.

Hatake Shibu was a transmigrator.

When he first arrived in this world, he had been nothing more than a newborn baby—and an orphan at that.

The first time he met Hatake Sakumo, he immediately understood the saying: A crying child gets fed.

He stretched out his hands toward Sakumo.

The moment Sakumo picked him up, he smiled.

The moment Sakumo put him down, he cried at the top of his lungs.

Nothing else worked.

In the end, after nearly destroying his own voice through sheer crying, he successfully became Hatake Kakashi’s older brother.

He had officially entered the Hatake household.

Obito glanced at the notebook in Shibu’s hand and immediately abandoned his plan to punch him.

He then put both hands behind his head and gazed at the bright sky outside.

“Shibu, shouldn’t we just skip class? Standing here is really boring.”

As he spoke, he leaned lazily against the wall.

As the two brothers-in-trouble who were constantly late to class together, they had developed a deep revolutionary friendship.

Shibu had just written two characters when a series of sounds suddenly rang out inside his mind.

“Ding! The ninjutsu you developed, Fire Release: Hot Air Technique, has been completed!”

Shibu silently put his notebook and pen back inside his clothes.

Forget waiting ten years to get revenge.

He was going to get his revenge today!

This was Shibu’s system—the transmigrator’s cheat.

Unfortunately, it didn’t have an artificial intelligence.

Otherwise, Shibu would have loved to chat with it.

After all, they were fellow transmigrators.

Surely they should have something in common to talk about.

In simple terms, Shibu provided the ideas and money, while the system handled the actual work.

It was a straightforward transaction.

Shibu examined the newly completed ninjutsu in his mind.

Then he stroked his chin and glanced at Uchiha Obito, who was staring blankly at the sky beside him.

He felt that he should test it first.

Otherwise, if something went wrong, he might end up having his parents summoned to the Academy.

Shibu quietly formed a hand seal with both hands.

An invisible energy instantly left his body and flew toward Obito.

Obito, who had been deeply contemplating the meaning of life, suddenly felt extremely uncomfortable in his throat.

He casually coughed several times.

Then he realized that his voice seemed somewhat hoarse.

His eyes were also slightly swollen and red.

He immediately wondered if he had caught a cold.

Shibu watched Obito repeatedly trying to clear his throat and recover his voice.

A satisfied smile appeared on his face.

It seemed the result was even better than he had imagined.

Obito instantly noticed the strange smile on Shibu’s face.

He immediately realized that these strange symptoms must have been caused by him.

“You bastard! You actually used me as a guinea pig!”

Because of the discomfort in his throat, his voice sounded like a duck.

He immediately lunged at Shibu.

But before he could reach him, the teacher came out of the classroom and grabbed Obito by the back of his clothes, lifting him straight into the air.
