The voltage was insanely high!

They could even end up being reduced to charcoal!

Although Uchiha Obito wasn’t exactly the sharpest tool in the shed, his combat instincts were excellent.Full novel: Konoha: A Ninjutsu Master Who’s Not Quite Serious! — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

He had noticed the same problem as well.

He quietly made his way over to Hatake Shibu.

“Big Sis Keiko has lost control?”

Shibu rolled his eyes.

“How would I know? I’ve never seen it happen before.”

“You’re the one who should be telling me!”

“Now we’ve really got ourselves in a situation where we haven’t even gotten the meat, yet we’ve already gotten covered in trouble!”

“We need to find an opportunity to get out of here!”

From Obito’s earlier description, Shibu already knew that this girl would eventually return to normal on her own.

Leaving now was the best choice.

Although Uchiha Obito was extremely reluctant, facing a threat they currently had no way of dealing with, he had no choice but to leave.

Otherwise, he would literally be lighting a lamp in a public restroom—looking for death!

He might feel sorry for her, but there was no guarantee that Big Sis Keiko would feel sorry for him.

Uchiha Obito felt that he was still young.

He shouldn’t die here!

“Pfft!”

Just as Hatake Shibu was preparing to turn around and leave, Uchiha Obito farted at this critical moment!

Shibu immediately felt that everything was over.

Facing a jōnin, they were definitely doomed.

He was only four years old!

Did anyone seriously expect him to fight a jōnin head-on?

Uchiha Obito looked at Shibu awkwardly.

“Sorry. I ate too much at lunch!”

Hatake Shibu wanted nothing more than to slap him.

Of all the times to fart, why now?

Are you some kind of punishment sent by the heavens specifically to torment me?

Looking at Uchiha Obito’s face, Shibu almost felt as though it were saying:

Your karma is me.

He wanted nothing more than to slap that face flat.

But it was already too late.

A strange, inhuman howl came from the distance, sounding almost like a horn signaling a charge.

Kurama Keiko charged toward them like a whirlwind!

Hatake Shibu didn’t have time to react.

He kicked Uchiha Obito away.

At least that counted as getting his revenge.

He immediately left his position and shouted toward Obito:

“Run!”

“Go get my dad!”

Having Obito summon reinforcements was the best option.

He was familiar with the terrain and could get out of here and return to the center of Konoha as quickly as possible.

If it were Uchiha Obito, he probably wouldn’t even last one exchange.

But what Shibu didn’t expect was that Uchiha Obito suddenly seemed to awaken some incredible attribute at this exact moment.

He performed a kip-up and sprang to his feet!

A kunai was already in his hand, pulled from his ninja tool pouch.

His expression was filled with determination.

Clearly, he intended to fight to the death rather than retreat!

“I won’t abandon my comrade!”

“If anyone is leaving, it should be you!”

“I’m the one who brought you here, so I’m responsible for bringing you back!”

Looking at Uchiha Obito in front of him, Hatake Shibu was just about to say something.

But Obito suddenly charged forward like a salted fish that had somehow come to life!

Shibu had just wanted to stop him, but apparently there was no need anymore.

Why?

Because Obito had already been kicked straight back by Big Sis Keiko!

He landed right beside Shibu’s feet and was now struggling to get back up.

Hatake Shibu stared blankly at Uchiha Obito beside his feet.

He knew Obito was an idiot before he became corrupted.

But he hadn’t realized just how much of an idiot he actually was.

“Cough, cough!”

“I can still fight!”

“Shibu, help me up!”

Uchiha Obito had clearly overestimated his own strength.

Hatake Shibu helplessly covered his face.

As the saying goes, birds of a feather flock together.

Why is my best friend such a person?

Could I be like this too?

Impossible!

Absolutely impossible!

There was definitely something wrong with Uchiha Obito.

He was like a husky that had somehow wandered into a pack of wolves.

That’s right!

I’m a lone wolf!

And he’s the husky that somehow infiltrated the wolf pack!

Hatake Shibu didn’t help Uchiha Obito up.

Their only opportunity had already been wasted.

There was no way to call for reinforcements anymore.

All he could do now was try his best to defeat Kurama Keiko himself.

Hatake Shibu pulled a kunai from his ninja tool pouch.

“You stay wherever it’s cool and stay out of the way.”

“If we make it back this time, you absolutely have to master the Uchiha Clan’s kunai-throwing technique!”

Obito was clearly embarrassed.

He felt that he simply had no talent whatsoever when it came to throwing concealed weapons.

Hatake Shibu shifted his gaze back to Kurama Keiko.

Her eyes seemed completely devoid of focus.

They looked like the eyes of a corpse lying in a morgue.

It was obvious that her self-consciousness had fallen into a deep sleep.

The one fighting Shibu now was her id.

According to psychodynamic theory, the human mind is divided into three major parts.

The id, the ego, and the superego.

The id exists entirely within the subconscious.

For example, when you’re standing somewhere high up, you might suddenly have an inexplicable urge to jump down just to see what happens.

That is an expression of the id.

It represents desire and instinct, restrained by conscious awareness.

The ego is the side of yourself that you normally display.

Your everyday decisions and behavior are primarily governed by the ego.

It suppresses some of the unreliable impulses revealed by the id.

The superego, meanwhile, represents one’s conscience and internal moral judgment.

It is the opposite of the id.

It is the moral branch of human psychological functioning.

It contains the ideals we strive toward, as well as the punishments we anticipate when we violate our own moral standards.

In other words— guilt.

Although Shibu had no idea whether the psychology of his previous life would actually apply in the shinobi world, he believed that while there might be differences in human physical structure, the psychological and mental aspects of humans should ultimately follow similar principles.

Hatake Shibu believed that he had to awaken her self-consciousness.

Only then would there be a chance of ending this battle.

Otherwise, he had at least a ninety percent chance of dying here.

If he abandoned Obito and fled alone, perhaps he had a fifty percent chance of escaping.

But his best friend was right in front of him.

How could he possibly abandon his friend and run away alone?

The emotion known as cowardice had already been discarded the moment he returned to this world.

“Try talking to her!”

“Say anything!”

After shouting this to Uchiha Obito, Shibu prepared to charge forward.

“What am I supposed to say, Shibu?”

Hatake Shibu froze for a moment.

Then, while running forward, he shouted:

“Anything!”

“As long as it’s something that makes her happy, it doesn’t matter!”

Snake—Horse—Monkey—Boar—Horse—Tiger!

Hatake Shibu rapidly formed a series of hand seals.

He took a deep breath.

His chest visibly expanded.

Then chakra gathered in his throat.
