Hatake Shibu’s Hot Air Technique wasn’t something that could be easily dispelled.

The doctors at Konoha Hospital would probably be completely baffled by the symptoms.

Excess internal heat wasn’t exactly a serious illness, but it could still be mentally torturous.Full novel: Konoha: A Ninjutsu Master Who’s Not Quite Serious! — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

People who couldn’t stand it would naturally look for other ways to deal with it.

For example, the promotional flyers Shibu had posted throughout Konoha.

As long as they saw one of those flyers, they would definitely come over and give it a try, like someone who had finally grabbed onto the last straw that could save their life.

Judging by the time, they should be arriving soon.

Sure enough, Shibu soon spotted a shinobi in the distance holding one of his flyers.

The man looked around left and right before finally noticing Shibu’s little stall.

After comparing the writing on the flyer with the sign at the stall, he walked over and asked Shibu a question.

As for why he didn’t ask Uchiha Obito, the answer was obvious.

Because Obito was an Uchiha.

Most people who had attended the Ninja Academy didn’t particularly like the Uchiha.

The Uchiha were aloof and looked down on ordinary civilians.

They placed great importance on bloodlines and looked down on every bloodline limit except the Hyuga’s.

The most infuriating thing was that all the men in their clan were handsome, while all the women were beautiful.

And they were all so damn smug.

That was why civilians generally didn’t like them.

When they saw an Uchiha, they simply pretended they hadn’t.

It was essentially a form of cold shoulder treatment.

“Hey, kid. Where’s the owner of this stall?”

He asked because both people at the stall were children, and there didn’t seem to be any adults around.

Shibu stroked his chin.

“I’m the owner. Take a look at the sign. My name is Hatake Shibu, and this is Uchiha Obito.”

The shinobi froze for a moment before smiling.

“If that’s the case, then give me a cup of this medicine that supposedly treats excess internal heat.”

Shibu nodded.

He poured a bowl and pushed it toward the shinobi.

“Pay first, then drink. No refunds.”

After all, this world didn’t have consumer protection laws.

Being a ruthless merchant wasn’t so bad.

Ruthless merchants made money quickly.

The shinobi pulled a small wallet from his clothes and didn’t object to Shibu’s conditions at all.

Unless there was a serious quality issue, things generally weren’t refundable in this world.

At most, the merchant would exchange the product. The source of this chapter is g.com.

Of course, no merchant would normally be stupid enough to deceive a shinobi.

Anyone who deliberately scammed people who lived with their lives on the line every day probably wasn’t right in the head.

“No problem. How much?”

The shinobi waved his wallet.

To be honest, he didn’t have much hope for the medicine’s effectiveness anymore.

After all, they were just two children trying to earn a little money to support themselves.

It reminded him of his own time at the orphanage.

Back then, when he wanted to attend the Ninja Academy, he had also set up little stalls around Konoha to make enough money for daily expenses.

So he decided to help this child out.

“One hundred ryō!”

The shinobi froze at the price.

That was almost enough to buy two bowls at Ichiraku Ramen.

No wonder nobody had approached the stall even after standing nearby and observing it for so long.

So that was the reason.

The kid was so young, yet he had already learned how to rip people off.

Forget it.

He had already boasted that he would buy one, so he might as well follow through.

The shinobi shook his head somewhat disappointedly.

He took out a banknote from his wallet and placed it on the table before picking up the bowl of so-called herbal tea.

The moment he brought the herbal tea to his mouth, the intense smell of medicinal herbs assaulted his nose.

The smell was overwhelming.

The shinobi nearly passed out on the spot.

Even the most bitter medicine at Konoha Hospital wasn’t this outrageous.

“Are you sure this isn’t some kind of poison?”

The shinobi put the bowl down.

Clearly, he had no intention of continuing.

This obviously wasn’t anything normal.

The orphanage matron had taught him never to eat strange things.

It definitely wasn’t because the medicine was too bitter.

“Of course it’s herbal tea. How could it possibly be poison? When did Konoha become so lax that people can openly sell poison on the street without being regulated?”

Shibu pulled a document from underneath the stall.

Beside him, Uchiha Obito desperately suppressed his laughter.

His entire face was twisted from the effort.

Clearly, he was having a very hard time holding it in.

“It really is a document issued by those Uchiha.”

The shinobi took the document and examined it carefully several times.

He couldn’t find anything wrong with it.

Although he didn’t particularly like the Uchiha, they were still comrades from his own village whom he could trust.

Besides, ordinary stalls wouldn’t normally be able to obtain a permit like this.

Using the Sharingan to inspect hygiene standards would indeed be rather excessive.

The shinobi’s expression became somewhat unpleasant.

Being looked down upon by a kid who was still attending the Ninja Academy was genuinely embarrassing.

“This must be poison. Unless you take a sip yourself and show me.”

The shinobi’s eyes suddenly lit up as he thought of something.

He pushed the bowl directly toward Shibu.

“Hahaha…”

Obito finally couldn’t hold back and laughed.

But before he could laugh for long, Shibu placed the bowl of herbal tea directly in front of him.

“What are you laughing at? Your excess internal heat hasn’t completely gone away yet. Perfect timing. Drink another bowl.”

Obito’s face instantly turned pale.

Clearly, he had no desire to experience that flavor again.

“Shibu… I’m already fine. I don’t need to drink any more. Besides, this stuff is pretty expensive. There’s really no need to waste it on me.”

Obito tried to resist.

Unfortunately, Shibu had absolutely no intention of letting him off.

“What is wrong with you, shinobi? It’s just a bowl of medicine. Are you afraid of something bitter? Drink it already. The sooner you drink it, the sooner you’ll get better!”

Obito realized from Shibu’s expression that begging wouldn’t work.

He immediately redirected the conversation toward the shinobi who had just backed down.

The shinobi’s face instantly turned bright red.

Being looked down upon by a child was extremely humiliating.

“I’m a full-fledged chunin! How could I possibly be afraid of something bitter? I merely have reasonable doubts about whether your medicine is legitimate!”

As he said this, the chunin seemed to have convinced even himself.

The more he spoke, the more confident he became.

“Then are you questioning the authority of the Konoha Military Police Force?”

Shibu pointed at the document.

“This was personally issued by Captain Fugaku himself!”
