At night, the streets were brightly lit as the four members of Team 7 walked out of Ichiraku Ramen.
“Ah!
Kakashi-sensei, why are we having ramen for our team dinner too?
I wanted to try something different!” Naruto rubbed his stomach, squinting his eyes as he complained loudly.
“Hey, hey!
Wasn’t it you guys who told me to choose?
Besides, I remember you like ramen the most, so that’s what we got!
And you were the one who ate the most!” Kakashi replied perfunctorily.
Thinking about the more than thirty empty bowls at Ichiraku Ramen, he touched his wallet and stared blankly at the road.
‘If we’d eaten somewhere else, I’d be completely broke.’
‘I’m still hungry!
I should’ve eaten as much as Naruto.’ Sakura glanced at Sasuke and discreetly rubbed her stomach.
‘A proper lady has to show some restraint!’ Inner Sakura shouted, clenching her fists.
“Sas…
Sasuke, would you like to walk around the village together tonight?” Sakura looked at Sasuke nervously, trying to invite him out.
“Not interested!” Sasuke immediately refused without even lifting his head.
“Sakura, Sakura, I’ll go!
Want to go together?” Naruto eagerly spoke up after seeing Sakura rejected.
“No!” Sakura immediately turned her head away.
“Ah!” Naruto’s head drooped helplessly.
‘Young people these days…’ Looking at the three of them, Kakashi thought of his old Team Minato, remembering that enthusiastic Uchiha and that gentle girl.
‘Obito…
Rin.’ He unconsciously raised a hand and touched his left eye.
“Well, since you all have your own plans for tonight, I won’t disturb you.
Have fun!” Kakashi said before running off while Naruto and the others were still processing his words, leaving the three of them standing there.
“What the heck!
He just ran off by himself.” Naruto watched Kakashi’s retreating figure, complaining indignantly.
He then looked at Sakura and Sasuke.
“Come on!
Since Kakashi-sensei isn’t here, we can take this opportunity to walk around properly.
After all, we’ll start taking missions tomorrow, and who knows when we’ll have another chance to relax like this.”
“Yeah!
Let’s go, Sasuke!” Hearing Naruto, Sakura invited him again, staring intently at Sasuke.
‘Say yes, Sasuke-kun!’ Inner Sakura excitedly waved her fists.
Naruto, standing beside her, saw her expression and his head drooped for a moment, but then he lifted it again, a smile returning to his face.
Sasuke glanced at Naruto and frowned as he considered it for a moment.
Finally, he said, “Fine.”
“Yay!” Sakura excitedly jumped up, unconsciously grabbing Sasuke’s hand.
‘Success!
I finally got to touch Sasuke!
Come on, Sakura, Sasuke is yours!’ Inner Sakura shouted excitedly. You are reading on g.com, the official source.
Sasuke tried to pull his hand free, but Naruto grabbed him as well.
“Let’s go!
Come to think of it, I’ve never really walked around this place before!” Naruto said with a smile.
Unable to break free, Sasuke ended up walking through the streets with the two of them.
Along the way, Sakura’s excited voice could be heard constantly.
“Look at this…
this one…” “This is so pretty…”
With both hands in his pockets, Sasuke looked at the cheerful Sakura and Naruto, who followed behind her carrying all the things she had bought.
His expression was indescribably strange.
“Hey, Sasuke, this is for you.” Sakura held out a bronze plaque.
The words “Team 7” were engraved on it, while Sasuke’s surname was engraved on the other side.
Sasuke looked at the plaque and reached out to take it.
Then he saw Sakura pull out another bronze plaque of the same design and hand it to Naruto.
The only difference was the surname engraved on it.
Naruto’s bore the name Uzumaki.
“Naruto, this is yours.
Now all three of us have one.
I’ll give another one to Kakashi-sensei tomorrow, and then we’ll have a keepsake commemorating the formation of Team 7!” Sakura happily shook the bronze plaque hanging around her neck.
Naruto put on his plaque without saying anything, and Sasuke casually hung his around his neck as well.
“Nar…
Naruto!” A faint voice came from behind them.
Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura turned around at the same time and saw the three members of Team 8 behind them.
Their teacher was nowhere to be seen, so it seemed they had also come out on their own to walk around and strengthen their bonds.
“Hey, it’s Hinata!” Sakura looked at the red-faced Hinata Hyuga behind them.
“You guys came out to walk around too?”
‘Truly, what a profound observation,’ Naruto thought sarcastically.
“These two are…”
“They’re Kiba and…
Shino!” Seeing Sakura struggle to remember Shino’s name, Naruto finished for her.
“Someone actually noticed me!” Shino Aburame pushed up his sunglasses.
“Aren’t you the genius and the dead-last from our class?
What?
You passed the test?
We’re all Genin now,” Kiba Inuzuka said proudly, Akamaru perched on his head.
“Yeah!
We became Genin too.
We’ll start taking missions tomorrow.” Sakura looked at the three of them and immediately switched into invitation mode.
“Want to walk around together?”
“N…
No, that’s okay!” Hinata replied, and Kiba and Shino nodded at the same time.
The two teams then passed each other on the street. Follow the newest chapters on g.com.
Naruto looked at Sasuke and Sakura, then at Team 8 walking away.
After hesitating for a moment, he said, “I’m going over to Team 8 for a while.
You two go ahead and keep walking.”
Sasuke and Sakura froze for a moment, clearly not expecting Naruto to say that, but neither objected.
Watching Naruto walk away, Sakura cheered inwardly.
‘Finally, no one’s going to bother me and Sasuke!’ She then looked at Sasuke.
“Sasuke, let’s keep walking.”
“No need.
I’m going back to train.” Sasuke looked at Naruto’s retreating figure and said coldly before ignoring Sakura’s continued attempts to persuade him.
Sakura dejectedly watched Sasuke walk away, unable to describe the feeling in her heart.
‘Keep it up.
We already went for a walk together this time, so next time we can take another step forward!’ Inner Sakura encouraged her with a raised fist.
“Hey!
Hinata, Kiba, Shino!” Naruto’s voice came from behind the three members of Team 8.
‘It’s Naruto.’ Hinata turned around when she heard him, both of her little hands twisting together nervously.
Kiba frowned as he looked at Naruto.
“Hey, weren’t you walking around with the genius from our class?
What are you doing over here?” Akamaru barked from atop his head.
“Well, I’m just helping make someone else happy.
You know how the girls in our class are about Sasuke.
Staying there was pretty painful for me!” Naruto laughed awkwardly.
“Besides, I have something to discuss with Hinata, so I figured I might as well come over here.”
“Naruto…” Hinata looked at Naruto as if she had figured something out.
“Hey, are you giving up on Sakura?
But what does that have to do with Hinata?
Don’t tell me you’ve taken a liking to Hinata?” Kiba’s tone was somewhat unfriendly.
After all, Hinata was currently the only girl in their class.
“Kiba, don’t say things like that!” Hinata said softly with a flushed face, so embarrassed that it seemed heat was about to shoot from the top of her head.
“We’ve already become ninja, so we have to keep growing.
I’m going to become Hokage, after all.” Naruto glanced at Hinata before continuing, “But that’s not why I came looking for Hinata.
I just wanted to ask her to help me train my taijutsu whenever she has some free time.”
“Naruto-kun…” Hinata called out softly, her eyes dimming at once.
‘As expected, Naruto still doesn’t like me.’ Hinata’s heart sank.
“You…” Kiba had barely begun to speak when Hinata interrupted him.
“Y-Yes!
Okay, Naruto!
As long as I don’t have a mission, I’ll have time.”
