With the support of Ascended power, Zach’s speed was extremely fast.
Although he still could not reach Aatrox’s level, he was already far beyond an ordinary person.
Soon, Zach’s view was no longer filled with yellow sand and endless desert.
Dark-purple earth and a sky wreathed in dense violet haze began to appear before his eyes.
As he walked across Icathia’s dark-purple land, Zach could faintly hear beastly roars coming from deep beneath the earth.
Zach knew those should be Void creatures hidden below Icathia.
All around him were scorched ruins and broken walls, and from beginning to end, Zach did not see the existence of any plants or animals.
Seeing this, Zach could not help wondering whether his choice had been wrong.
In an environment like this, were there really still humans?
“You bastards from the Void Cult, even if I die, I’ll drag you down with me!”
“You animals who serve the Void, all of you deserve to die!”
Suddenly, Zach’s ears twitched, and he quickly turned his head toward a certain direction.
That voice had come from there.
And from those words, Zach could tell that someone seemed to have gotten into a conflict with the Void.
Was it Void creatures?
After thinking it over, Zach quickly rushed in that direction.
If these people he had finally encountered died at the hands of Void monsters, then Zach had no idea how much longer he would have to search before finding living humans again.
After passing over the wreckage of the buildings ahead, the scene in front entered Zach’s eyes.
There, a group of people dressed like civilians and holding weapons were surrounded by several figures wearing dark-purple robes.
These dark-purple-robed people seemed to have mastered some kind of Void magic, tightly imprisoning the civilians in the middle.
The civilians kept cursing them and repeatedly tried to use the weapons in their hands to fight back.
Unfortunately, in the eyes of these purple-robed mages, the civilians were still far too weak.
“Everything on this land will return to the Void.
The Void Cult is invincible!”
“You trespassed into the Void Cult’s domain, so become offerings to Lord Malzahar!”
As the purple-robed mage in the lead spoke, the magical light in his hand grew even more intense, and the civilians in the middle instantly fell into tremendous pain.
On the other side, when Zach saw the scene ahead, he was slightly stunned.
Not Void creatures?
Humans instead?
Not only that, Zach also keenly noticed what the purple-robed mage had said.
Malzahar.
Zach still knew a bit about this cult leader who claimed he would make the world embrace the Void.
With that in mind, everything seemed to make sense.
These purple-robed mages before him should be followers of the Void Cult founded by Malzahar.
Looking at the civilians trapped in the center by the group of purple-robed mages, Zach’s eyes narrowed slightly.
Just as those civilians were about to be reduced to nothingness by the Void magic in the purple-robed mage’s hand, a bare-chested figure charged toward the group of purple-robed mages.
Zach stomped hard on the ground, and his whole body shot forward like a cannonball.
Sensing the movement from this side, the purple-robed mages all looked over.
When they saw Zach, the purple-robed mages’ eyes filled with deep disdain.
“Another offering delivering himself to us!”
The purple-robed mage in the lead raised his hand toward Zach, and that faint purple light began winding toward him.
The civilians shouted loudly at Zach.
“Get out of here!
Don’t worry about us!”
The long-running atrocities of the Void Cult had already filled these civilians with fear from the depths of their hearts.
They also did not believe that Zach, alone, could contend against these mages who had mastered Void magic.
Not to mention that Zach was currently wearing nothing but a ragged pair of hide shorts.
No matter how they looked at him, he did not seem like a powerful figure capable of defeating Void mages.
However, Zach acted as if he had not heard them and charged straight over.
The Void magic released by the purple-robed mage wrapped directly around Zach, and despair appeared in the eyes of the civilians.
But what happened next made everyone’s eyes widen.
When those countless threads of purple energy coiled around Zach’s body, they were like fresh snow meeting the blazing sun, instantly burned away until nothing remained.
And Zach had already arrived in front of the purple-robed mages.
Under the rapidly shrinking gaze of the purple-robed mage in the lead, Zach’s fist, as large as a sandbag, shot straight toward his face.
“Bang!”
Amid the sickening sound of bones cracking, that purple-robed mage was sent flying nearly a hundred meters by Zach’s punch.
After sliding across the ground for a long time, he never managed to stand again.
“!”
Everyone present fell into a daze after witnessing what had just happened.
What was going on?
But Zach would not give these people connected to the Void any chance to react.
After his body had been enhanced by Ascended power, every punch Zach threw seemed to carry tens of thousands of tons of force.
As for those Void mages, their bodies were originally no different from ordinary people’s, and now Zach had closed the distance.
Under these circumstances, Zach slaughtered the few Void mages as easily as killing chickens.
When only the last mage remained, he screamed at Zach in madness.
“Come on, kill me!
This way, I can completely embrace the Void!
Lord Malzahar will surely avenge me!”
“The Empress’s Void swarm will devour every last one of you!”
“Crack!”
The moment the man finished his final sentence, Zach twisted his neck three hundred and sixty degrees.
From beginning to end, the fight had been an absolute crushing victory.
Zach had not even used the short blade at his waist.
Looking at his hands, Zach could not help marveling at the strength of Ascended power.
“Savior!
Thank you!”
Several excited shouts came from behind Zach.
He turned around and saw the civilians he had just saved bowing to him.
Zach shook his head lightly.
“Savior, may I ask why you came to Icathia?”
The man in the lead continued, “Because of the harm caused by the Void cultists, there are not many people left in Icathia now.
I never thought I would still see someone come here.”
When he said this, his expression could truly be described as gritting his teeth in hatred.
It was easy to imagine just how hostile these people were toward the Void.
After thinking for a moment, Zach answered honestly, “I had nowhere to go, so I ended up coming this way.”
“Where are you from?” the man asked again.
Zach very much wanted to say that he was from Shurima.
But after thinking about it again, the relationship between Shurima and Icathia could be described as being in deep water and raging fire, and even that would be putting it lightly.
After all, between the two of them, one had completely fallen from glory, while the other had become a colony of the Void, and each side occupied a major role in the other’s tragedy.
So after thinking it over, Zach said, “When I woke up, I was already on the border of Icathia.
I don’t remember anything from before.”
Hearing Zach’s words, everyone looked at him with sympathy, as if they had found someone who shared their suffering.
They almost did not even need to think to know that Zach must be just like them, another pitiful person persecuted by the Void.
“Do not worry!”
The man in the lead stepped forward and respectfully said to Zach, “You are our savior.
Since you have nowhere to go, come back to the village with us for now.”
Zach nodded directly.
This was exactly what he had been waiting for the man to say.
“Thank you.”
Felix, a transmigrator from Earth, wakes up in Zaun before and during the events of Arcane.
He becomes connected to Silco’s side, gains a Skin Master System, and uses League skin-based weapons, tech, armor, and abilities to change the fate of Zaun.
Instead of letting Arcane’s tragedies play out exactly the same way, Felix tries to protect the people around him, especially Powder/Jinx, and push Zaun toward open rebellion against Piltover.
The story starts with the Piltover-Zaun conflict, then expands into the wider Runeterra setting: Noxus’s invasion of Ionia, Demacia’s internal conflict, the Freljord, Shurima, the Void, and eventually the Ruination/Shadow Isles plotline.
