At the doorway of the little house, Kai’Sa fell completely still.

She even forgot the terrible pain coming from the hideous wound at her waist.

She looked at Zach, wanting to make sure she had not misheard him just now.Full novel: League of Legends: The Lore Expert — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

As Zach looked at Kai’Sa’s stunned expression, he could not help feeling a little emotional.

Who would have thought that in a barren place as dangerous as Icathia, he would actually run into someone familiar?

Zach had originally wanted to ask Kai’Sa what wish she had right away, but when he noticed the hideous wound at her waist, he dropped the idea entirely.

Zach knew Kai’Sa’s past very well, and precisely because of that, he felt heartache over everything she had gone through.

Zach raised his hand and pointed at the wound on Kai’Sa’s waist.

“If you don’t treat that soon, your life may be in danger.”

Kai’Sa took a small step back, the light in her eyes trembling violently.

She asked in an incredulous voice, “You… you’re not afraid of me?”

Zach smiled.

“Why would I be afraid of you?”

Perhaps because it had been so long since she had spoken to anyone, Kai’Sa’s words came out a little unevenly.

Even so, she still asked nervously, “Aren’t you afraid I might hurt you?”

Zach shook his head and asked in return, “You don’t seem to have any reason to hurt me, do you?

Or do you think I’m afraid of how you look right now?”

As he spoke, Zach crossed his arms and looked the young woman in front of him up and down.

Beneath her long purple hair was an extraordinarily beautiful face, and her eyes carried a resolute light that did not match her age.

Her curvy, slender body was covered in a layer of tight purple carapace, though the carapace around her waist had now opened, revealing the defined lines of her midriff.

He came to Kai’Sa’s side and said with a soft laugh, “A beautiful girl in armor?

That’s unbelievably cool.

Why would I be afraid of you?”

“!”

The moment Zach finished speaking, Kai’Sa felt as though none of this was real.

Ever since she had returned to the surface from the Void, she had heard endless insults and countless terrified cries from people.

But only this once had someone described her the way Zach had.

Kai’Sa opened her mouth.

She wanted to say something, but after trying for a long time, she did not know what to say.

“If we don’t treat it now, you probably won’t hold out much longer,” Zach repeated.

Kai’Sa finally came back to her senses.

She instinctively stepped back again and shook her head.

“No need…”

“All right, all right, let’s get started.”

Throughout the entire process, Kai’Sa did not resist at all.

She only stared blankly at Zach.

“You’re not afraid of me?” Kai’Sa repeated again.

Zach nodded with absolute seriousness.

“No.”

The tension in Kai’Sa’s heart slowly faded, replaced by a kind of joy she had not felt in who knew how long.

However, after the stray thoughts in her mind were cleared away, the intense pain from her waist once again began to stab at her nerves.

The weakness surging through her body even made her feel the urge to fall asleep right there.

Kai’Sa frowned slightly and gritted her teeth as she endured it.

She said to Zach in front of her, “Why are you helping me?”

Zach examined the wound at Kai’Sa’s waist, and a solemn look entered his eyes.

He pointed at the small bed she was sitting on.

“Lie down.

I’ll help you erase the Void aura first.”

“…”

Kai’Sa stared blankly at Zach, then turned sideways and lay on the small bed.

After Kai’Sa settled down, Zach slowly raised his right hand.

Buzz!

In an instant, an incomparably dazzling golden light filled Zach’s hand.

The moment that light appeared, Kai’Sa could clearly feel the carapace on her body instinctively shrink back a little.

Kai’Sa was not yet twenty this year, and she had never seen Ascended power before, so she only stared curiously at Zach’s right hand.

The next second, Zach gently placed his right hand on Kai’Sa’s waist.

Sizzle!

Sizzle!

Sizzle!

Like raw meat placed on a red-hot iron plate, the wound at Kai’Sa’s waist began to emit sizzling sounds.

Zach carefully controlled the power in his hand, erasing the Void energy bit by bit.

Before the Ascended power of ancient Shurima, the Void aura on the wound at Kai’Sa’s waist was like something that had encountered an extremely terrifying existence.

It had almost no ability to resist.

“When you’re not strong enough yet, don’t provoke Void creatures that are too powerful.

And don’t risk your life to save others.

Your own life matters most.”

Ever since her village had been swallowed into the Void by Malzahar, she no longer knew how long it had been since she last felt this kind of concern from another person.

This unfamiliar feeling made everything feel unreal.

If not for the lingering pain in her waist, Kai’Sa would have even suspected that this was not reality at all, but only a fantasy before death.

Kai’Sa did not understand why Zach had appeared here, nor did she understand why he was helping her.

While Kai’Sa was still lost in her thoughts, Zach slowly lifted his right hand.

At that moment, the Void power on the wound at Kai’Sa’s waist had been completely erased, leaving only a somewhat frightening injury behind.

Kai’Sa saw it too.

Her eyes were full of shock and confusion as she looked at Zach.

She held back for a long while before finally asking, “Is this my last meal?”

Zach was speechless.

Looking at Kai’Sa helplessly, Zach raised his left hand and tapped her forehead.

“I mean, do I really look like some unforgivable villain?

Why do you keep thinking I’m going to hurt you?”

Kai’Sa froze at Zach’s action, but she did not avoid his hand.

She looked up at the roof and murmured softly, “You’re not a bad person… I’ve just never been treated like this before.

I’m not used to it.”

Hearing Kai’Sa’s words, Zach fell silent as well.

Looking at the girl in front of him, Zach felt a tangle of emotions in his heart.

She was clearly a girl with an incredibly difficult past, one who only wanted to give everything for others, yet simply because of this layer of Void skin, she had become someone countless people despised.

The golden energy in Zach’s right hand gradually began to change.

A golden-green hue filled with rich vitality slowly appeared over the surface of the original golden light.

Zach once again covered Kai’Sa’s waist with his hand and used his Ascended power to mend the wound there.

At that moment, Zach could not help feeling a little grateful that he had chosen Ascended power back then.

The more he came to understand it, the more he felt just how versatile Ascended power was.

Whether in battle or support, Ascended power had extremely powerful effects.

Under Zach and Kai’Sa’s shared gaze, the frightening wound at Kai’Sa’s waist healed rapidly at a visible speed.

Soon, without the interference of Void energy, the wound had completely healed.

After the wound closed, Kai’Sa’s slender waist, with its defined lines, returned to its perfect state once again.

At that moment, Kai’Sa felt the warmth from Zach’s large hand resting on her waist, and a very strange feeling suddenly rose in her heart.

However, Kai’Sa had never come into contact with this emotion before, so she did not know how to describe it.

“Thank you…”

Felix, a transmigrator from Earth, wakes up in Zaun before and during the events of Arcane.

He becomes connected to Silco’s side, gains a Skin Master System, and uses League skin-based weapons, tech, armor, and abilities to change the fate of Zaun.

Instead of letting Arcane’s tragedies play out exactly the same way, Felix tries to protect the people around him, especially Powder/Jinx, and push Zaun toward open rebellion against Piltover.

The story starts with the Piltover-Zaun conflict, then expands into the wider Runeterra setting: Noxus’s invasion of Ionia, Demacia’s internal conflict, the Freljord, Shurima, the Void, and eventually the Ruination/Shadow Isles plotline.
