Malkar raised his head, and a wide smile appeared across his face.
“Now…” he said as he brushed the dust from his shoulder.
“This is starting to get interesting.”
He disappeared from where he stood.
Adrian didn’t step back.
He kept his eyes fixed ahead, and in the next instant, Malkar appeared beside him and threw a direct punch.
Adrian raised his arm to block it, but the force of the blow sent him sideways.
Even so, he spun around and threw a punch at Malkar.
Malkar caught his fist before it could reach him, but Adrian pulled his arm free and attacked from the other side.
Malkar took half a step back.
Then both of them charged at the same time, their fists colliding in midair.
The ground beneath their feet shook from the impact.
The battle intensified, but Malkar gradually began taking control.
Adrian rushed forward and threw a direct punch, but Malkar ducked beneath it and grabbed his arm.
He spun behind Adrian and struck him hard in the back, sending him stumbling forward.
Adrian quickly turned and attacked again, but Malkar caught him by the shoulder and stopped his charge.
He lifted Adrian off the ground and threw him toward one of the walls.
Adrian crashed into it and fell, but he pushed himself away before he could fully hit the ground and charged back without hesitation.
This time, Malkar didn’t wait for him to reach him.
He rushed forward, dodged Adrian’s first punch, then struck him across the jaw, following it with a kick to his leg that dropped Adrian to one knee.
Adrian tried to grab his foot, but Malkar quickly pulled it away and drove his elbow into Adrian’s shoulder.
He then grabbed Adrian by the head and slammed him toward the ground.
Adrian’s hands struck the floor.
He raised his head and tried to get back up, but Malkar grabbed him by the back of his clothes and lifted him before throwing him to the side.
Adrian rolled several times before managing to stand.
But Malkar was already there.
He struck Adrian in the stomach, grabbed his arm, twisted his body, and slammed him hard into the ground.
Adrian pressed one hand against the floor and tried to rise, but Malkar gave him no chance.
He stepped forward and kicked him away, then rushed after him before he could stand.
He grabbed Adrian’s arm and slammed him into the ground again.
Adrian lifted his head, his fist pressing hard into the dirt.
He tried to push himself up, but Malkar stepped toward him and raised his hand, ready to finish the fight.
His hand suddenly stopped.
A voice sounded inside his head.
“The fight is over, Malkar.
Return to your place.”
The fighting expression disappeared from his face, replaced by his usual calm demeanor.
He turned around and began walking away.
Adrian quickly raised his head and shouted angrily.
“I haven’t finished my fight yet!
Don’t go!”
Malkar stopped for a moment.
“But I’ve already finished what I came here for,” he said without turning around.
“So I won’t waste my time fighting a weakling.”
Malkar disappeared from the area.
Adrian remained staring at the spot where he had been standing, while a single word continued echoing through his mind.
“Weak…”
Adrian dug his fingers into the ground and tried to push himself up again, but his arm gave out.
His eyes slowly lost focus, and his entire body collapsed onto the floor, unconscious.
After Adrian fell, the area remained still for several moments.
The sounds of battle were gone, leaving only scattered debris and smoke filling the surroundings.
Philip lay motionless on the ground beside Adrian, while Dan was unconscious beneath a section of rubble.
Their grandfather was nowhere to be seen.
Then footsteps began approaching from outside.
A group of Night Guards reached the house, but they stopped the moment they saw the scene before them.
The house was no longer recognizable.
The walls had collapsed, the pillars were shattered, and the ground was covered with holes and cracks.
“What happened here…?” one of the guards asked quietly.
Another guard carefully moved forward before spotting Adrian among the rubble.
“There’s someone here!”
They rushed toward him.
One of the guards knelt down and checked his pulse.
“He’s alive.”
He turned toward the others.
“Get a stretcher!”
But before they could lift Adrian, one of the guards noticed something strange.
He stopped and looked at the ground around him.
Black traces stretched outward from the place where Adrian had fallen, as if something had exploded from his body and spread in every direction.
“What are these marks?” he asked.
The group’s commander stepped closer and examined them, but he didn’t answer.
Then he noticed Philip.
His expression changed as he approached the boy and checked him.
It only took a moment for him to realize that Philip was dead.
Silence filled the area. This chapter was copied from g.com without permission.
Then a voice came from behind them.
“Wait!”
Everyone turned.
One of the guards was pointing toward a section of rubble.
“There’s someone else!”
They immediately began removing the broken stones.
After several moments, Dan’s body appeared beneath them.
He was badly injured, but he was still alive.
“This boy is breathing!” one of the guards shouted.
The guards quickly carried Dan out before the commander turned his attention back to Adrian.
Adrian’s face was covered in blood, and his clothes were torn, but something else was far more unusual.
The black energy surrounding his body was slowly disappearing.
“Do you think this energy is what destroyed the area?” one of the guards asked.
The commander remained silent for a moment before answering.
“I don’t know.”
He pointed toward Adrian.
“But nobody gets too close to him.”
The guards stopped.
“Why?” one of them asked.
The commander looked at the cracks spreading across the ground around Adrian.
“Because we don’t know whether this power is dangerous or not.”
They carefully began lifting Adrian.
But the moment they picked him up, Adrian’s fingers moved slightly.
His eyes opened for a brief moment.
All he could see were people moving around him.
He tried to speak, but no sound came out.
Then his eyes closed again.
But before he lost consciousness completely, he noticed something behind the guards.
A section of the collapsed wall.
There was a strange black mark across it.
Adrian stared at it for a moment before losing consciousness once again.
I’m a little sad today because the views dropped, and honestly, it’s a bit discouraging.
If you’re enjoying Adrian so far, I’d really appreciate it if you could add the novel to your library and support me by reading the new chapters.
Thank you so much to everyone who’s already supporting Adrian.
I truly appreciate you all!
