The golden morning sun had barely begun to breach the horizon over the training grounds of the Lockout facility, but the air inside the combat hall was already thick with heavy heat, ozone, and sheer exhaustion.

The shattered floorboards from previous battles had been temporarily reinforced with steel plates, now glowing faintly under the intense pressure of Maana that filled the room.

In the center of the arena stood four towering, semi-transparent holographic projections of Master Kaizo.Full novel: LEGENDS : Beyond the imagination — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Each hologram radiated a distinct elemental pressure, moving with fluid, terrifying speed.

“Dodge left, Sha! Rihasa, your balance is terrible! Weza, reinforce your right arm mechanism!” the central hologram of Master Kaizo barked, his digital voice cutting through the sounds of clashing energy.

Sha leapt backward, his boots sliding across the smooth metal floor as he barely evaded a sweep from one of the Master’s holographic staves.

“Master! This is very hard training for us!” Sha wheezed, clutching his knees as sweat dripped onto the floor.

Rihasa dropped to one knee right beside him, his chest heaving violently.

“Yes! We only eating lunch 1 time in a day and sleep 5 hours in a day… it’s not fair! It’s make us weak!”

Tez stood a few paces away, his body enveloped in a faint, flickering pinkish-red aura.

He was panting heavily, his muscles trembling from the constant strain, but his eyes remained sharp as he stared directly at Master Kaizo’s hologram.

“Maybe this is because we don’t know how much powerful is our opponents…” Tez muttered softly, wiping a mixture of sweat and dust from his brow.

The main hologram of Master Kaizo stopped its attack routine, deactivating its combat stance and turning to face the four exhausted boys.

“Exactly!” Master Kaizo said, his voice echoing sharply across the training hall.

“We don’t know either how much stronger the opponents are! And also Trace Falger is not a small stone… it’s a Mount Everest!”

Rihasa blinked, tilting his head in utter confusion as he looked up from the floor.

“Why Mount Everest come in conversation?”

Master Kaizo rubbed his forehead in annoyance, shaking his head at Rihasa’s literal thinking.

“Hmmm! It’s like a idioms or maybe… I don’t know! Keep training hard! Make your Maana at peak!”

Master Kaizo’s expression turned serious as he crossed his arms.

“And also, I am gonna teach you something… that evolve you faster.”

Tez, Sha, Rihasa, and Weza immediately sat up straighter, their eyes locking onto the Master’s hologram with renewed focus.

The air in the room grew completely silent as the four Legends prepared themselves for the grueling lessons ahead.

Meanwhile, far across the region inside the shadowy, blood-red throne room of Site 4…

Trace Falger sat comfortably on his high black iron throne, a sleek electronic tablet resting in his white-gloved hand.

The dark, misty aura of the ancient Aoffs Mansion drifted around him like smoke.

On the screen, a long, rapidly updating list of names flashed in bright red light.

Legendary bounty hunters, bloodthirsty mercenaries, rogue Maana masters, and mysterious shadow entities from across the Powerverse had officially registered for the tournament.

“Look at all these thirsty fools rushing toward their own graves…” Trace whispered into the empty throne room.

A dark, theatrical smile stretched across his handsome face as he closed the tablet.

“This is gonna be fun…”

Back at the Lockout training grounds, time blurred into a relentless cycle of agony, discipline, and power.

Day 3…

Day 4…

The sun rose and fell, but the training never stopped.

Sha stood in the center of a artificial rain chamber, pushing his spirit limits to the absolute brink.

Waves of blue water vapor exploded from his palms, clashing against the gravity-enhanced barriers.

His control over the Aqua Shark energy grew denser, shifting from loose water into pressurized, razor-sharp blades that tore through solid steel targets.

Rihasa crouched atop a simulated forest floor, his hands buried deep into the soil.

Dense, ancient tree roots surged upward at his command, wrapping around heavy concrete pillars and crushing them into fine powder.

The green aura of the Jungle Tiger roared around his shoulders, fusing more smoothly with his physical movement.

Day 5…

Day 6…

Weza spent hours in the maintenance vault, re-engineering his metallic arms to handle higher thresholds of raw power.

Sparks flew through the room as he forged heavy armor plating and integrated high-velocity kinetic pistons into his gear.

When he struck the test anvil, the kinetic shockwave shattered the surrounding walls.

Tez sat cross-legged in the center of a subterranean fire chamber, surrounded by roaring columns of pinkish-red flame.

Inside his subconscious void, the ancient form of Kung watched him closely.

Tez forced his body to endure the burning heat, mastering the forced intake of dragon fire without allowing his muscles to break under the pressure.

Step by step, his Maana capacity expanded, pushing his baseline physical limits beyond what any normal human body could sustain.

Day by day, our Legends trained hard, sacrificing sleep, comfort, and safety to force their bodies into an unprecedented state of evolution.

Day 7…

The final day had arrived.

The day where the legendary Death Game was set to begin.

The early morning light streamed through the high windows of the Lockout main bay, illuminating the four young heroes.

Tez, Sha, Rihasa, and Weza stood in a neat, perfect row on the rear side of the primary main screen, their battle attire adjusted and their weapons strapped to their backs.

Their physical presence was completely different from a week ago.

The fatigue on their faces was gone, replaced by a quiet, lethal confidence.

Their Maana was so refined that the air around them vibrated with a soft, steady hum.

From the central console, a full-sized hologram of Master Kaizo appeared, slowly clapping his hands together.

Clap…

Clap…

Clap…

“Legends, your 1 week training is completed…” Master Kaizo said, a rare, genuine smile touching his lips.

“And I am sure that this training will help you to win the game!” Get faster updates on g.com.

Tez looked up, his fists clenching at his sides.

“Master… what if we lose, or something bad happened?”

Master Kaizo stopped clapping, his expression turning deeply reflective.

“See, the words you use—’lose’ and ‘bad’—are for those who are afraid of rising!” Master Kaizo spoke firmly, his voice filling the hall.

“But you all are built different! And honestly, I think Rarea is right… maybe you become the legendary saviours of Powerverse. Who knows?”

Master Kaizo stepped closer to the projection edge, pointing his thumb at his chest.

“First of all… don’t doubt your potential!” Master Kaizo instructed sternly.

“Always remember: if your opponent is overpowering, that’s not mean that you are weak, or opponent is strong! It’s means the opponent is afraid that you don’t break your limits!”

He raised his voice into a roaring declaration:

“Limits are make for breaking! No one is perfect! Okk, Legends… go and take them all!!!!!!”

Tez, Sha, Rihasa, and Weza raised their heads, their voices echoing in complete harmony:

“YESSSSSSS!!!!!!”

A few hours later…

The sky above Site 4 was permanent black-grey, choked with thick, swirling storm clouds and desolate fog.

Standing at the foot of the jagged black mountain path, the Legends reached the entrance of Site 4.

The air here was freezing, tainted with the dark, oppressive weight of countless malicious Maana presences.

Dozens of terrifying, shadowy figures were already walking up the path ahead of them—monstrous warriors clad in spiked armor, hooded assassins with dripping blades, and rogue elemental masters whose very footsteps scorched the earth.

Tez halted at the threshold of the iron gates, looking up at the towering, ominous structure looming over the valley.

The abandoned Aoffs Mansion stood like a rotting gothic giant, its shattered stained-glass windows glowing with eerie crimson light from within.

“So this is the mansion of the worst nightmare of Powerverse… Aoffs Mansion,” Tez said quietly, his hand coming to rest on the hilt of his weapon as his pinkish-red aura flickered to life around his boots.

Weza shuddered slightly as his cybernetic sensors beeped wildly in warning.

“I am getting goosebumps!”

Sha and Rihasa adjusted their gear, stepping up beside Tez with fierce smiles spreading across their faces.

“Let’s go!” Sha and Rihasa shouted together.

Tez took his first firm step onto the grounds of the mansion, staring directly up at the high dark tower where Trace Falger waited.

“Trace… we are coming to prove that we are not just ordinary childs!” Tez declared.
