Jianghai City, Lin Family Villa.

As night fell, the lights inside the villa illuminated the mansion as if it were daylight.

A black SUV slowly drove through the gate and stopped in front of the ornate fountain.Full novel: LitRPG: My Skills Level Up on Their Own! — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

The car door opened, and Lin Mo stepped out, stretching lazily. Behind him, Ye Hongyu maintained her vigilant stance, even in the absolute safety of the Lin Family's stronghold.

The two had just reached the villa's entrance.

"Welcome home, young master!"

Two rows of maids in exquisite black and white uniforms, ten in total, bowed in unison.

Their long legs and perfectly timed smiles could leave any man at a loss.

But Lin Mo was long accustomed to it.

He smiled and nodded, waving his hand casually:

"Yes, yes, alright, alright."

"Mo'er, you're back!"

In the hall, Su Wan had been waiting for some time.

Even in her casual home attire, she couldn't hide her noble and elegant demeanor.

Seeing her son enter, Su Wan's face blossomed with a smile.

She quickly approached, taking Lin Mo's hand and looking him over: "How are you? Tired? Any injuries?"

"I see your clothes aren't even dusty. Ye Hongyu protected you well."

Lin Mo shrugged and smiled:

"Mom, I just went to level up, not to fight a war. How could I get hurt? Besides, with Sister Ye around, I'm very safe."

"Safe is good, safe is good."

Su Wan nodded in satisfaction, then led Lin Mo towards the dining room:

"Must be starving, right? Come, I specially instructed the kitchen to prepare a table full of your favorite dishes, all loaded with fire elements!"

"Great, I'm starving."

Lin Mo's eyes lit up, and he obediently followed his mother to the dining room.

...

In the dining room, the five-meter-long table was filled with a dazzling array of dishes.

Tonight's menu was entirely fiery red.

[Stir-Fried Crimson Flame Fire Dragon Liver], [Lava Earthheart Fruit Salad], [Blazing Flame Rhino Backbone Soup], [Lotus Flame Roasted Whole Lamb]...

The entire dining room was filled with a hot and rich aroma, just a whiff felt like swallowing a ball of fire.

Lin Tianhao was already seated at the head of the table. Seeing Lin Mo enter, he waved with a smile: Visit g.com for the full chapter.

"Come, come, Mo'er, sit next to Dad."

As soon as Lin Mo sat down, Fireball began to roar wildly.

["Fireball" eyes gleamed, drooling: Eat, eat, eat! Hurry up! That's Fire Dragon Liver! I want it! Put it in your mouth now!]

[Mood: Extremely thirsty (wishing it had a mouth)]

Lin Mo's mouth twitched as he picked up his chopsticks, grabbed a piece of Fire Dragon Liver, and blew on it leisurely.

"What's the rush? Don't you know it's hot?"

Lin Mo replied in his mind, then elegantly took a small bite, chewing slowly.

["Fireball" was hopping mad: Hot my ass! I'm a fireball! Am I afraid of heat? Are you a man? Eat the meat in big bites! You're killing me with your dawdling!]

Lin Mo ignored the agitated Fireball, enjoying the meal at his own pace.

As the high-purity fire element food entered his stomach, Lin Mo could feel the warm current continuously nourishing the restless Fireball inside him.

The atmosphere at the table was harmonious.

Su Wan turned to Ye Hongyu with a smile: "Hongyu, you really worked hard today."

"I just checked Mo'er's level, and he's already at Lv.5. He leveled up twice in one day, you must be exhausted."

As she spoke, Su Wan took out a golden card from her bag and handed it over:

"This is a VIP card for one of my equipment stores. You should upgrade your gear, consider it a token of my appreciation."

Ye Hongyu didn't reach out to take it.

She bowed slightly, her tone respectful yet firm:

"Madam, I appreciate your kindness."

"But my current equipment suits me well, and I have no need to change it. Protecting the young master is my duty, as per the commander's orders, and I really don't deserve this."

"Just take it!"

Lin Tianhao put on a stern face, pretending to be serious:

"Why so much nonsense? My wife's words are orders! Besides, if a Lin Family soldier goes out with shabby equipment, it's my face that's lost!"

Seeing the commander's demeanor, Ye Hongyu finally accepted the gold card with both hands, carefully putting it away.

Then, Ye Hongyu took a deep breath, her expression becoming somewhat complex:

"Actually, madam, you misunderstood something. The young master leveled up so quickly today mainly because he's quite skilled."

Ye Hongyu paused, adding: "Without the young master's extraordinary skills, no matter how many monsters I lured, the efficiency wouldn't have been so high."

Lin Tianhao and Su Wan exchanged a glance, blinking as if they had misheard.

A Basic Mage, how skilled could he be?

Moreover, Lin Tianhao knew Ye Hongyu's character well, a very proud subordinate.

For Ye Hongyu to seriously call someone skilled, it had to be something extraordinary.

Su Wan, unaware of the situation, thought Ye Hongyu was just flattering and said:

"Hongyu, I know you're loyal and want to give Mo'er face. But let's just speak the truth."

Ye Hongyu took a deep breath and said seriously:

"Commander, madam, I'm not exaggerating. The young master is the most talented mage I've ever seen or heard of."

Hearing this, Lin Mo couldn't help but shrink his neck, his cheeks slightly flushed.

Being praised as "the most talented" so earnestly, even someone as thick-skinned as him felt a bit embarrassed.

After all, he had been gaming all day.

But then again, having cheats could be considered a talent, right?

"The most talented?"

Lin Tianhao put down his chopsticks, his expression turning serious.

"Hongyu, explain properly."

He knew Ye Hongyu, a straightforward girl who spoke her mind, never lying to please her superiors.

Ye Hongyu didn't answer verbally but took out her phone from her pocket.

"Words alone aren't enough, commander, madam."

"This is a video I recorded this afternoon in Gloomwood Forest. You'll understand after watching."

With that, she played the video and turned the screen towards Lin Tianhao and Su Wan.

The video was only ten-odd seconds long.

The dining room fell into dead silence.

Only Lin Mo's slightly awkward chewing could be heard, sounding particularly loud in the quiet air.

Lin Mo glanced at his parents' expressions out of the corner of his eye, his toes curling inside his shoes, wishing he could dig out a three-bedroom apartment on the spot.

Social death...

Damn it, social death!

Not because of showcasing his skills, but because of that "I've got my ult" line, it was like a public execution!

Sister Ye, if you're going to record a video, can't you give a heads-up first?
