Only a dozen players remained.
Terrified by the scene, they scattered in all directions.
Even Wang Batian, who had been so fierce before, lost his ferocity and turned to flee towards the valley entrance.
Yang Yu pursued relentlessly.
Using his agility and range advantage, Yang Yu chased after Wang Batian while aiming his arrows at the fleeing players.
Each arrow struck true!
In less than three seconds.
Yang Yu caught up to Wang Batian.
The once formidable group that had followed Wang Batian was now reduced to just a few, fleeing in disgrace towards the valley entrance.
Both were level 4 players, but Wang Batian's speed was no match for Yang Yu's.
For some reason, Yang Yu even felt that Wang Batian's speed was slower than some level 3 players.
"Still running?"
Yang Yu asked leisurely, trailing behind Wang Batian.
Realizing he couldn't shake off Yang Yu's pursuit, a fierce glint flashed in Wang Batian's eyes. He stopped abruptly and turned to face Yang Yu.
"I admit defeat today!"
"If you let me go, I won't hold a grudge about this, and the Batian Guild won't trouble you again. How about it?"
Wang Batian took a deep breath, forcibly suppressing his anger.
He had hit a wall and had no choice but to concede.
"No deal."
Yang Yu shook his head, looking coldly at Wang Batian.
"Then am I out of options today?"
A fierce light shone in Wang Batian's eyes, his massive axe poised to strike.
"No."
Yang Yu shook his head again, saying calmly, "You're not out of options; you still have a dead end!"
Hearing this, Wang Batian's expression froze, unable to suppress his anger any longer!
"Damn it!"
"You think you've got me cornered? My axe isn't just for show!"
As he finished speaking.
Wang Batian raised his massive axe high and swung it at Yang Yu!
But how could such a heavy weapon hit Yang Yu, who was fully invested in agility?
With a slight sidestep, Yang Yu easily dodged the attack.
Taking two steps back, he nocked a Poisoned Arrow.
He shot directly at Wang Batian's chest!
"Bang!"
"-13"
At the critical moment.
Wang Batian swung his massive axe horizontally, blocking the Poisoned Arrow.
Though he lost 13 health points from the impact, he wasn't poisoned.
Moreover.
Yang Yu noticed that although Wang Batian was slow, his strength and defense were high.
If not for the 10 points of true damage from the Spiritual Qi Arrow, Yang Yu's shot would have only dealt 3 points of damage!
Seeing Wang Batian block the Poisoned Arrow with his axe, Yang Yu realized.
Poisoned attacks weren't infallible.
Wang Batian had risen to level 4 quickly, and his guild members weren't weak, so he naturally had some skills.
Yang Yu drew three Poisoned Arrows, aiming at Wang Batian's chest, abdomen, and thigh!
Three arrows fired in quick succession!
And not just that.
After the first three arrows, another three followed!
Completely sealing off Wang Batian's escape route!
"You damn Zongjiu Kuangge! I'll remember you!"
"From now on, the Batian Guild and you will be at war, and I'll make sure you never leave the novice..."
Before he could finish his threat.
Wang Batian turned into a white light and vanished.
Along with the white light fell several pieces of equipment, health potions, and copper coins!
Among them was the giant axe, glowing with a bronze hue!
[Ding!]
[You have successfully slain a Red-Name Player, no Crime Value incurred!]
[Tip: As the victor, you can choose to plunder 0-200 experience points...]
Yang Yu quickly chose [Plunder 0 Experience Points] and bent down to pick up the equipment on the ground.
Besides the giant axe, Wang Batian dropped five pieces of equipment!
There were over twenty health potions.
And more than five hundred copper coins!
"It seems Wang Batian had a high Crime Value before, leading to a severe downgrade penalty, dropping directly from level 4 to level 1, almost losing everything!"
Seeing his own Crime Value at a high 35 points, Yang Yu felt a twinge of caution.
"The penalty for killing a Red-Name is too severe; I can't kill indiscriminately."
Yang Yu reminded himself.
He couldn't let the ease of getting rich through killing cloud his judgment.
Even if he had to kill, he should let the opponent attack first, so that counterattacking wouldn't increase his Crime Value.
Slightly regretting.
Killing Wang Batian, a player of the same level, didn't enhance Yang Yu's [Bloodfiend Poison Body].
He wasn't sure if it was because Wang Batian hadn't truly died, or if killing didn't provide enhancements.
Setting aside his doubts.
Yang Yu examined the giant axe's attributes.
[Azure Steel Ghost-Head Axe] (Bronze Equipment)
Physical Attack: +36
Strength: +8
Trait: This axe is quite heavy, requiring a strength greater than 30 points to wield
Level Requirement: None
After seeing the axe's attack power, Yang Yu was secretly amazed.
Not only did it increase attack by 36 points, but it also added 8 points to strength.
And 1 point of strength increased physical attack by 2 points.
In other words, this giant axe could increase the user's attack power by 52 points!
"A bronze weapon with no level requirement, it seems to be the equipment Wang Batian drew at the start."
Looking at the giant axe.
Yang Yu felt a bit uninterested.
Though the axe had strong attack power, it wasn't suitable for him, and he couldn't equip it.
Because his strength was too low...
Even at level 4, Yang Yu's strength was only 20 points, far from the 30-point requirement.
This led to his speed being so slow, completely unable to hit Yang Yu.
Fortunately.
With the axe's high attack power, it should fetch a good price.
Unfortunately, the novice village didn't have a remote auction function, so he'd have to find a way to deal with it later.
Setting aside his sighs.
Yang Yu swept the battlefield, picking up every piece of equipment, health potion, and mana potion.
He didn't even leave the copper coins behind.
......
Novice Village Altar.
Dozens of white lights flashed in succession.
Immediately drawing a crowd of players to watch.
"What's going on? Aren't these people from the Batian Guild? How did so many get wiped out?"
"Wow, who has the guts to provoke them?"
"That looks like Batian Guanghui and Batian Feihu, the Legion Commanders of the Batian Guild. How did they drop to level 1 and lose all their equipment?"
"Tsk tsk, that's really tragic. Starting over isn't easy."
"Serves them right! They were so arrogant with their numbers, now they've hit a hard wall!"
"Well done, it's so satisfying!"
The crowd hadn't dispersed.
Suddenly.
Another white light flashed, and the pot-bellied Wang Batian appeared stark naked at the Rebirth Altar!
"My god, isn't that Wang Batian, the leader of the Batian Guild? Even he got killed back to level 1?"
"Oh my, who could have such courage and strength?"
"No single player could do this, I bet it was a guild war with another big guild."
"That's right, while the Batian Guild is strong, it can't compare to the top ten guilds. I wonder which guild could gather such strength in Novice Village No. 997."
"Haha, serves the Batian Guild right. We were just killed by them at the Black Rye Grassland, this is so satisfying!"
"Seeing them like this, half my anger is gone!"
"I was also killed by them, heaven has eyes, avenging me before the night is over!"
"Haha..."
The crowd burst into laughter.
Wang Batian and his group, knowing they had lost face, slunk away in disgrace.
A few minutes later.
Wang Batian and his group regrouped at the village entrance.
"Boss, this is the equipment I got from the brothers, it's all common equipment, but with these, and the brothers helping you tank monsters, getting back to level 4 won't be a problem!"
Wang Batian nodded.
Donning the equipment, Wang Batian said with a grim face, "Every brother who died today will be rewarded with ten thousand bucks."
"Also, tell the brothers at the valley entrance not to withdraw, keep an eye on that bastard, report his position at all times, this can't end like this."
"And, leak the attributes of the [Azure Steel Ghost-Head Axe] and [Black Scale Leather Armor], along with that guy's location, to that lunatic Aoshi Kuangfu!"
"Boss, you mean..." the person asked, puzzled.
"Drive the wolf to chase the tiger, divert the trouble!"
Wang Batian's face twisted into a sinister smile, "That Aoshi Kuangfu is a bandit, rash and belligerent, bloodthirsty and jealous, he can't stand others having good things, if he can rob, he won't buy."
"And these two pieces of equipment, ignoring level requirements, are currently the best attribute gear players can use, I don't believe he won't be tempted!"
"As long as Aoshi Kuangfu kills that Zongjiu Kuangge once, I can keep him at level 1 forever, never to rise again!"
"Also."
Wang Batian said coldly, "Send someone to investigate this guy's background, it'd be best to find out his real identity!"
"Yes, boss, I'll get on it right away!"
