Once the wicked idea took root, it was impossible to suppress.
Yang Yu was filled with excitement as he slowly approached the marsh.
Carefully, he selected a small puddle with only two Mottled Toads.
He was still fragile and couldn't withstand an onslaught from a swarm of Mottled Toads, so he dared not approach the larger pits teeming with dozens of them.
At this moment.
The two toads lay by the water's edge, their colorful backs half-exposed, basking in the sun.
Perhaps the sunlight was too warm, and the two toads closed their eyes in enjoyment.
Yang Yu moved with light steps, careful not to make any noise.
As he neared the puddle, Yang Yu removed the Void Quiver and tilted its opening.
To minimize the sound of liquid splashing, Yang Yu almost pressed the quiver's mouth into the water!
The pale yellow liquid flowed out slowly, merging with the puddle...
After quickly pouring out all the urine, Yang Yu didn't hesitate and retreated swiftly, ten meters away!
As he retreated.
Yang Yu observed the changes in the Mottled Toads.
The toxin damage seemed less swift than when using a poisoned attack.
It wasn't until ten seconds later that Yang Yu saw the numbers "-1" and "-1" slowly appear above the two Mottled Toads' heads.
Perhaps because the poison was diluted, the rate at which the two Mottled Toads lost health was very slow.
About every three seconds, they lost one point of health.
Whether the poison was relatively mild or the toads were too engrossed in sunbathing, the toxin damage persisted for nearly twenty seconds before the two toads finally awoke.
They seemed to notice their health slowly draining but didn't know the cause of this change.
So they didn't take immediate action.
With 100 health points, losing a few wasn't enough to cause panic.
The two toads looked around.
Trying hard to find the real culprit behind their health loss.
Finally.
They spotted Yang Yu's figure several meters away!
At this distance, Yang Yu, who hadn't attacked, was already outside the Mottled Toads' aggro range.
But Yang Yu's inquisitive gaze still aroused the toads' vigilance!
The two toads exchanged a glance and started moving.
They leaped out of the puddle, rushing toward Yang Yu!
Yang Yu hadn't gathered complete experimental data, so he didn't rush to attack but quickly retreated, maintaining a safe distance from the two Mottled Toads.
The poisoned Mottled Toads were now on par with Yang Yu in speed, so they couldn't catch up with him for the moment.
"25 seconds."
"26 seconds."
"27 seconds..."
Finally.
When Yang Yu counted to 27 seconds, the poison effect on the two Mottled Toads wore off.
But Yang Yu hadn't started counting from when he poisoned the puddle, nor immediately after the toads were poisoned.
He began timing only after the two toads left the puddle!
As he had guessed.
Even after leaving the puddle, the two Mottled Toads still carried the diluted poison.
Although the rate of health loss slowed by three times, the duration of the poison far exceeded ten seconds!
Suppressing his joy.
Yang Yu retreated while drawing his Novice Short Blade, slicing open his left wrist.
"-4"
Yang Yu's Constitution had increased to 6.0, plus the Novice Cloth Garment's 2 points of physical defense, giving him a total of 8 defense points.
With the Novice Short Blade equipped, his attack power was 12 points.
So Yang Yu's attack on himself only caused 4 points of damage.
A streak of blood flowed out, and Yang Yu quickly caught it with the Void Quiver, sealing it in one of the 100 storage slots the quiver provided.
Yang Yu wanted to collect more blood, but the wound quickly stopped bleeding.
He focused his mind on the Void Quiver's storage slots and placed four Spiritual Qi Arrows inside.
As expected.
The four Spiritual Qi Arrows successfully absorbed the poison but also consumed all the blood.
In the data-driven world of the Heavenly Dao, there were many restrictions, and even blood couldn't be infinitely divided like in real life.
Without hesitation.
Yang Yu swung the blade again, slashing at the freshly healed wound.
"-4"
"-4..."
After four consecutive cuts, plus the initial one, Yang Yu's health had dropped to 40 points, but he had obtained 20 Poisoned Spiritual Qi Arrows, stored separately in one of the slots.
With his low health and precious blood, Yang Yu didn't plan to soak all his arrows in blood but divided them into two sections.
In future battles, during the poison effect's duration, Yang Yu would only use regular Spiritual Qi Arrows.
When the ten-second poison effect was about to expire, he would switch to Poisoned Arrows to maintain the poison effect.
This strategy ensured maximum output efficiency while conserving blood.
Yang Yu's poison damage had grown to 11 points per second, and just one Poisoned Spiritual Qi Arrow was enough to kill a Mottled Toad!
Coming back to his senses.
Yang Yu looked at the two Mottled Toads still ten meters away, struggling to catch up with him. He drew a Poisoned Spiritual Qi Arrow and shot one at each toad!
"-14"
"-11"
"-11..."
The two poisoned Mottled Toads visibly turned a bluish-green, their speed drastically reduced, unable to approach Yang Yu any longer.
The distance widened.
Yang Yu didn't linger, turning to run toward another puddle.
There, eight Mottled Toads gathered, and Yang Yu planned to deal with them all before returning to absorb the toads' toxins.

[Congratulations on successfully slaying a level 1 Mottled Toad...]
Just after poisoning the two experimental toads, Yang Yu heard the notification of their demise.
Without stopping, Yang Yu swiftly shot at the remaining six Mottled Toads in the puddle!
[Ding!]
[Congratulations on successfully slaying a level 1 Mottled Toad, gaining 5 experience points, currently level 1 (40/100)...]
Due to the intense poison damage.
Even a full-health Mottled Toad couldn't survive more than 8 seconds after being hit by a Poisoned Spiritual Qi Arrow!
Before Yang Yu could poison all eight Mottled Toads in the pit, some had already died.
[Ding!]
[Congratulations on successfully slaying a Mottled Toad, gaining 5 experience points, currently level 1 (75/100)!]

In less than half a minute, all ten Mottled Toads were dead!
Moreover, with the increased toxicity, the effects of Yang Yu's Poison Blood, such as slowing, weakening, and impairing, became more pronounced.
The toads, which were only 1 point faster than Yang Yu, couldn't even touch his clothes before dying on their charge.
Yang Yu quickly stepped forward, absorbing all the toxins from the ten Mottled Toads!
[Ding!]
[You successfully absorbed all toxins from a level 1 Mottled Toad, Bloodfiend Poison Body has grown, poison attack increased to 31 points per second!]
[Ding!]
[Your body has undergone Blood Poison Tempering, Constitution increased by 0.1, currently 8.0!]
After absorbing all ten Mottled Toads.
Yang Yu's poison damage increased from 21 points per second to 31 points per second!
His Constitution also rose from 7.0 to 8.0!
Yang Yu's total health finally reached 80 points, surpassing most players' health.
His physical defense also increased from 8 points to 10 points!
Even if Yang Yu stood still and let the Mottled Toads attack, their 12-point attack could only reduce his health by 2 points per hit, no longer a concern.
Yang Yu's experience points had reached level 1 (75/100).
He only needed to kill 5 more Mottled Toads to reach level 2.
After a brief consideration.
Yang Yu began searching for a puddle with only four or five Mottled Toads.
Killing monsters below his level wouldn't allow his Bloodfiend Poison Body to grow.
So Yang Yu wouldn't kill low-level monsters when his experience was about to overflow.
Moreover, Yang Yu had another hypothesis to test, so he couldn't blindly kill monsters.
Soon.
Yang Yu found a puddle with only five Mottled Toads.
Drawing four Poisoned Spiritual Qi Arrows in succession, Yang Yu poisoned four of the Mottled Toads, leaving one unscathed.
But this toad was also drawn by Yang Yu's aggro, quickly rushing toward him.
The fourth Mottled Toad had just been hit when the first one succumbed to poison mid-charge.
Once all four Mottled Toads were poisoned.
Yang Yu endured the last Mottled Toad's attacks, forcibly absorbing the toxins from the four dead toads.
"-2"
[Poison Immunity...]
Despite Yang Yu's best efforts to dodge.
While absorbing the fourth toad's toxins, he was still hit by a Mottled Toad's attack.
Fortunately, he only lost two health points, a minor inconvenience.
However, the Mottled Toad that attacked Yang Yu was quickly enveloped in a bluish-green hue, losing health at 38 points per second!
Seeing the toad's imminent demise, Yang Yu grew anxious!
He pressed down on the fourth Mottled Toad's corpse with his right hand, accelerating the absorption of its toxins!
[Ding!]
[You successfully absorbed all toxins from a level 1 Mottled Toad, Bloodfiend Poison Body has grown, poison attack increased to 39 points per second!]

Thankfully, just in time.
Yang Yu managed to complete the absorption of the fourth Mottled Toad's toxins a second before the fifth one died!
A second later.
The notification of the last Mottled Toad's death arrived.
