[Target HP: 176 / 1,000]
Arthur genuinely wasn’t expecting it to work, but it did.
The feeling was strange, too. When he focused on the man’s heart, it was as though he had gained X-ray vision, seeing straight through his body and focusing solely on his heart.
There was also a dark marble inside it.
Arthur guessed that was his Mana Core.
Despite that, he had managed to heal the area. Just to be safe, he decided to cast another heal.

[Warning!]
[Target is suffering from Mild Necrotic Infection.]
[Target is suffering from Malnutrition.]
[Target has sustained Limb Loss.]
[Healing HP will not remove the underlying conditions.]
It worked.
His HP wasn’t decreasing anymore, and his complexion looked much better. The ailments he was suffering from had also become less severe.
Was it because the Advanced Mana Poisoning ailment had vanished?
"So, how do you feel? Better?"
"...The pain is gone."
The man turned toward him, but before he could launch into some sort of sob story or shower Arthur with praise, Arthur intervened.
"Let me stop you right there. It’s fine. And I don’t need any payment or some kind of repayment. As for a favor, if you can, come here tomorrow at the same time. Bring a few people with you, too. With my current MP reserves, I can probably heal five people at most."
"Ah..." The man paused, then nodded. "In that case, I’ll be sure to advertise you to the right people, hahaha. Ugh..."
He clutched his chest.
"Tsk. It still hurts a bit, but it’s still much better than the pain I was forced to endure. Thank you, mister...?"
"Just Arthur is fine. I’ll be coming here daily, and as my stats increase, I’ll be able to heal more and more people. I read online that there are some items that increase mana, right? If you ever find any, bring them to me."
"Of course. I’m Nico, by the way. If you’re out of mana, then you shouldn’t stay here. I’m pretty sure you can guess why."
"Mhm. I’ll head home now. Don’t push yourself, Nico. See ya," Arthur said, shaking Nico’s hand.
At that same moment, he also activated his last heal for the time being.

"Hahaha. Have a safe trip home, Arthur."
Arthur nodded and slowly made his way back home.
From what he understood, his MP naturally restored itself at a rate of 1 MP per minute. He thought it would continue recovering at that rate, but it had started restoring itself faster now.
And that was because of one very, very crucial change.
[You have successfully purified a Corrupted Mana Core!]
[You have successfully used Inner Area Healing!]
[Class Experience is awarded based on the difficulty, complexity, and rarity of healing performed.]
[Tallying Mystic Healer Experience...]
[Ding!]
[+1,225 Experience]
Mystic Healer (Lv.1 → Lv.2) [Experience: 851 / 2,000]
[Bonus: 1 MP / Minute → 2 MP / Minute]
[Healing Touch (Lv.1 → Lv.2)]
—Heal 25 HP → 50 HP when making contact with someone.
Cost: 25 MP → 30 MP
[Mana: 14 → 17]
I didn’t even notice it earlier, but damn. 1,225 Experience just for healing someone. Of course, I don’t get any experience for my actual Level, but just the Class Level is insane as it is.
He also realized that no matter how much he used his skills, they would only level up to a maximum of his own Level.
So even if he got an overpowered Class skill right now, it would only be able to reach Level 2 at most.
By the time he got back home, he was drained.
He didn’t have the energy to check his stats, but since he had been walking for more than fifteen minutes, he decided to cast a heal on himself, exhausting the last of his MP before finally going to sleep.

"Wow..."
Arthur woke up with the least amount of back pain he had felt in ages.
Who knew rich people’s beds were this comfortable?
On that note, he also woke up to a surprise.
[Your Fated Partner has woken up.]
[Recommendation: Pay them a visit.]
"Hmm. I should, shouldn’t I?"
He figured that if he wanted to enjoy the full benefits of those bonuses, he needed to get along with her.
As it stood, he had no idea what kind of person she was.
What if she was some sort of nepo-baby Karen who would stop at nothing to avoid listening to a single word he said?
What would he do then?
Since I got here, I’m a firm believer. God, or whatever, please make it so that woman isn’t a total bitch.
With that, he got in the shower, dressed up, and made his way into the city again.
Since there were no cars on the ground, the entire street was pretty much a sidewalk. The only issue was that most of the stores and supermalls were located on a higher ground level in the city.
From what he had seen in the sky, the city of Vivum had three ground levels, simply called the three:
Ground Level.
Mid-Level.
Sky Level.
The Sky Level was where planes and extremely fast flying cars traveled. It was also where an airport was suspended in the sky.
The Mid-Level was the main one, housing just about everything.
As for the Ground Level, it was where he currently was.
It was pretty dead.
He took a few turns and got into an elevator, arriving at the Mid-Level.
After that, he spent the next hour walking through the city until he finally reached the hospital.
He wished he could have stopped for a coffee or some breakfast, but he didn’t have any cash at the moment.
There’s reception, but I don’t really know how to introduce myself. If I try to say I’m her husband, they’ll ask for my surname, and seeing that our surnames aren’t the same, I’ll just get screwed over.
Instead, he waited patiently until he spotted the nurse from yesterday, the same one who had flown him home.
He went up to her and explained the situation.
She was fairly understanding. Thanks to her, he skipped all the boring paperwork and logging. She led him to the elevator and simply left him there, telling him she was busy and that he could find the woman in Room 408.
The fourth floor had quite a few people walking around, but none of that mattered.
Arthur stopped in front of Room 408 and hummed to himself.
He was a bit nervous now that it was finally time to meet her.
But since he had the last hour to play out the scenario in his head, Arthur was more than ready.
And so, he finally pushed open the door.
