“Chief, if i have no my answer right now, don’t blame me if i am ruthless!” The old man shivering but refuse to move out of my way, that wench hiding behind bunch of his mates looking somewhat ridiculous.

“Tigris, calm down! Lola stll young and doesn’t know better, I promise you we will find your mate, but quit it now!”

“Chief, it’s been years after i come of age, and its been forever since i give my everything to protect this tribe, is this you repay me? GIVE ME SOME FACE AND HAND THAT WENCH NOW!”

I roar as hard as i could, that wench fell to her knees, shivering while i don’t even know where is my mate right now.

Unforgiveable!

a few young beast trying to get a score and hoping to win this disgusting female walk in front, trying to shield them but as i have been working as the best warior in this tribe since i came off age, they post no threat to me at all.

“NO! GET AWAY FROM ME! FATHER TIGRIS HAS GONE INSANE, HE MUST ALREADY TURN RAMPAGING!”

The vile cunning female yelling while i pin the last of her mate to the ground,

“I will tell you, I’ll tell you but don’t hurt Lola,” the last wolf finally opening his mouth.

“No, Craig, what are you talking about! shut up, we have nothing to do with that useless mutt!”

I shift and grab the female and male by their neck, both have no power to struggle anymore as i have beaten half the male in this tribe to the curb.

I shift forward and seize both the female and the male by their necks.

Neither has the strength to struggle; I have already beaten half the tribe’s males into submission.

“We threw her into the crater. I am sorry. She is likely gone for good.” A storm of wild emotion surges through my chest.

Hot tears stream down my face like a river.

“No! What are you saying? My bond mark has not broken yet.”

“The crater? That place is sealed off now! Do you not know calamity lurks within that pit?”

“Is there not an old legend about that spot? My grandfather warned me never to go near it. They say that place demands blood and sacrifice.”

“I heard that tale too. I always thought it was just a silly story to scare cubs from wandering deep into the mountains.”

“Craig, are you certain?” The chief trembles harder than ever, paying no mind to his own wounds.

“Yes, it is the truth. Lola never laid a hand on your mate. Josh and I dragged her to the crater’s pit ourselves. Your female put up a fierce struggle with Josh and ended up both fell to that crater.”

My grip around his neck tightens more and more.

I am seconds away from snuffing his life out completely, when a clear, heavenly chirp rings out in my ears.

“TIGRIS!”

LILY POV

Hours have slipped by, nearly an entire day spent traveling down the winding mountain paths.

I could not pinpoint the exact route we took, yet faint memories lingered.

Tigris once told me his tribe dwelled near the West Mountain, and this trail pulled me forward like an invisible thread.

An uneasy chill crawled over my skin too.

The woods were eerily empty, no scurrying small creatures rustling in the underbrush, not a single bird letting out a chirp.

I had a hunch why all animal and beast fled, but the silence still twisted my nerves.

My hoodie hung in ragged shreds from the struggle that night, and I had lost my knife somewhere along the way.

All I craved right now was to get back home.

A nervous thought gnawed at me, would Tigris hate that I now brought Jor back with me?

“Jor, do you think the tribe folks will hate you? Or be terrified? You said every female collapses the moment they see your true form, right?”

“I am suppressing my power as much as I can,” Jor rumbled beside me. The source of this chapter is g.com.

“Only roughly ten percent of my aura shows now. Even so, those with weak hearts may still faint on the spot.”

I huffed out a bitter laugh.

“Hmm. There’s one female I wouldn’t mind seeing pass out, though. That vicious bitch Lola. I’d love to shove her face straight down a toilet.”

“Shall I kill them for you?” he asked plainly.

“No! Don’t kill anyone. I’m a pacifist. Besides, if you harm them, we’ll end up as fugitives.”

‘What is a pacifist?’ his face looking dumbfounded.

“There is no need to worry, Lily. My existence stands far above the laws of this world.” A smug, proud smirk tugged at his lips.

“Absolutely not!” I shot him a sharp look.

“This is my revenge, my business. Keep your hands off everyone. I hate murderers.”

As we moved further along, the surroundings grew more familiar.

I spotted the small lake where Tigris and I used to bathe together, and ahead stood the wooden fence and tribal gate.

Strangely, no guards waiting the entrance.

“We’re here. Let’s head inside. Promise me you won’t stir up trouble, and don’t taunt my mate or my friends, okay?”

Jormungandr only smiled and said nothing.

His long black serpent tail slithered beside us, guiding both of us past the gate and into the heart of the tribe.

A loud commotion echoed from the direction of the chief’s hut.

Beasts gathered in crowds, and I recognized the faces of Donna and Mara’s mates among the onlookers.

“What is going on here?” I called out.

Their bodies tensed and shuddered at a glance of the snake beast, but their expressions shifted the second they locked eyes on me.

“Lily? You’re alive! Hurry, stop Tigris! He has gone completely rampage!”

I pulled myself free from Jor’s arms and bolted forward, pushing through the thick crowd of onlookers.

The beasts refused to part for me at first, but the cold, primal predator aura rolling off Jor made them freeze.

They glanced back in fear and quickly scattered to make a clear path.

Then I saw it.

Tigris had both Lola and her husband clamped tight by their necks.

I remembered that male well, he was the one who helped kidnap me days ago.

“TIGRIS!” I shouted at the top of my lungs.

Tigris’s whole body jolted in pure shock.

His head snapped around so fast his fur bristled.

Rage melted away in an instant, replaced by overwhelming relief.

He roughly tossed Lola and her husband aside without a second thought and sprinted straight toward me.

In the next breath, he pulled me into a crushing embrace.

He pressed desperate, fevered kisses all over my face, his tongue brushing gently against my skin over and over, pouring every ounce of his fear, joy and longing into the touch.

All his chaotic emotions finally settled now that he held me safe in his arms.

The surrounding tribe members whispered among themselves, voices buzzing with shock.

“She is not dead after all.”

“Who is that giant serpent beast standing behind her? OMG he carry sinister vibes,”

While everyone’s attention stayed fixed on me and Tigris, Lola began crawling away slowly on her hands and knees, her husband scrambling to drag her further back. This chapter was copied from novelping(.)com without permission.

I pulled away from Tigris’s hold and called out sharply.

“Hey! Our business is far from finished!”

Lola’s husband tried to flee with her, but Jor moved faster than any mortal beast could react.

He stepped forward in an instant, pinning the male firmly in place with one coil of his tail.

Another powerful swing sent Lola flying across the dirt, and she landed hard on the ground right at my feet.

I stepped away from Tigris and walked over to the fallen female.

I crouched down, reached out, and gripped her chin firmly to force her to meet my gaze.

“What did I ever do to you to deserve all this?”

Lola snarled and began screaming insults at me the second the words left my mouth.

The watching beastmen muttered among themselves, criticizing her openly.

They knew tribal rules forbade endangering another female’s life, yet many also noted the irony, she was a woman too, and she had broken the code herself.

The chief pushed through the crowd, falling to his knees and begging desperately for his daughter’s life.

Fury flared up in Tigris once more.

He bared his fangs and advanced on the chief, ready to strike him down.

Before he could land a blow, I held out an arm to block his path, stopping him cold.

“Enough!” I raised my voice to cut through the noise.

“I will not demand death for what you have done. But I will beat you half to death for every wrong you committed against me.”

The crowd shifted, and the scene moved to the wide open field at the center of the tribe.

A large bonfire was lit, flames roaring high as daylight faded into night.

All the tribesfolk formed a tight circle around us, watching intently.

I stood over Lola, my tone cold and unyielding.

“I hate how cunning and vile you are. Even if you faced punishment today, your cruel nature would never change. Why did you have to fight over my mate? There are a hundred males for every single female in this world. Why fixate on mine, when I only had one partner from the very start?”

Lola spat on the ground and unleashed a stream of vicious curses.

“You thief! You took every good thing that belonged to me!” she shrieked, hurling every hateful word she could think of.

I did not waste another moment.

I grabbed her and executed a German Suplex, slamming her hard skull onto the packed earth with loud thud.

Before she could recover from the impact, I flipped her onto her stomach and locked her into a Mexican Surfboard.

I seized both her wrists and pulled her arms back sharply, arching her spine until a shrill scream tore from her throat.

“AAAAH! My back! Let me go!”

A murmur rippled through the circling crowd of beastmen.

Many leaned forward, eyes wide with fascination at the unfamiliar hold.
