All of a sudden, they heard a sharp scream.
Thus, even before the announcer spoke, they could tell some had been kicked out.
“Roland Jankins has been eliminated.”
A beam of light connected the sky to the ground from afar, and Andrew correctly guessed that light shone atop this Ronald Jankins but that moment of distraction would have landed an arrow in his arm if Tumunomi Escaver had not swept both of his feet off the green ground.
THWACK!
THWACK!
THWACK!
John had thrown his body on the ground to evade his while Jacob had pulled Jake to the side, although the boy caught the arrow mid-way, anyway.
“John, scout!”
Tumunomi Escaver was strangely excited and John spared him a glance before racing up a tree like he were running on the ground, albeit on his fours and with his finger puncturing stem like it were cardboard.
“Group of 30, my 12 o’clock!”
His group leader was impressed with his speed but he had already started running in that direction before he shouted another command.
“With me!”
Jacob chuckled, Jake pulled Andrew up to begin his sprint and John easily caught up to them even though they had started before him.
“2 groups of 10 on left and right, each.
Middle group is in the center, I believe they know we are coming.”
“Jake, Andrew support John in the center, Jacob, take right flank.
I’ll handle the left.” Tumunomi Escaver was curious as to what fruits his training had yielded over this month.
Jacob had a slight smile to his lips as he jumped over low branches, swung across some, vaulted over mid ones and swung under high ones.
John would get there first as he was literally bouncing off everything in sight – trunk to trunk, ground to branch, after a slide or a crouch, and even a twirl – with an indifferent gaze.
Jake looked like the most outwardly happy as he found his body moving in efficient and acrobatic ways.
It was like a kid with a new toy.
He watched John for a while before taking 5 steps on a tree, leaping to another and then taking high ground as he hopped from branch to branch.
At some point, he even swung with a vine before letting go under a another to slap his hand atop a new one and then launch himself forward.
Andrew’s eyes were wide like he could not believe this.
He was supposed to be falling as he had staggered more than once.
But between what the chip had helped him memorize and adapt to, plus the fact that at the last second, he always righted himself, even he could not believe that he was not yet rolling on the ground with injury on his head, his torso and his limbs. Read the latest chapters at novelping dot com.
Tumunomi Escaver had wanted to laugh when he jumped on a branch that was the height of his head and caught another to vault over it before allowing himself a flip so that the pit at the back of his knees allowed him to spin on that branch before arcing through green till his feet slid on a sloping branch before using his knees when he reached the ground and bouncing off that to dodge a low branch.
It had been worth it to gain general knowledge and keep his body in shape.
Either ways, the group moved with grace that they should not have at their ages and when they saw the enemy batches, they moved according to the formation asked of them.
John, still had gotten there first.
So, he ran to 4 people in a clearing that weirdly did not show anything but darkness where light should have been.
TWANG!
He kicked off the floor with one left to dodge an arrow and then change directions, but with his speed and the moist green ground, it made him still move forward albeit in a slide.
His body hit one boy into a girl, and that clash of differing momentum made him pause to provide an ideal target for archers from the shadows.
So, he was forced into a duck before springing back up to kick a face, a gut then a face again, and then return to the previous body where he spun once and slap kicked a face.
As his opponents were falling, so where arrows to him.
But he had taken off his long sleeve jacket and spun it about his body before he landed.
Meaning that by the time Jacob and Tumunomi had reached the flanks, he was safely on the ground, his riddled jacket just kissing the ground.
Jake was overhead, so he saw 6 people crouched on different areas.
People who had been sending arrows, like their comrades that were at the flanks on the ground, towards John.
And Jake got inspiration, so he kicked off a branch to not only ram himself towards the 6 of them but to slow down his speed.
He then planted double feet on one’s back and then back-flipped to catch the branch that one had been swinging on.
Then he spread his legs wide while he had done so, so that when he came around his feet met faces of fellow archers of the one he had kicked before.
Finally, when they had began falling to meet their former comrades, Andrew was halfway across the clearing on the ground.
Jake further pulled out his shoe and had thrown it towards one of the three on the other side.
This one had been aiming at Andrew but when the shoe met his face, the arrow went off course and into the air.
Meanwhile, one of the archers turned to Jake as the last was bent on stopping Andrew.
Thus, as Andrew jumped behind the tree to successfully dodge an arrow, Jake jumped off the branch he had been standing on.
The arrow hit the branch before Jake grabbed it again and swung forwards in an arc of approach which made it hard for them to see that his other shoe was in his hand.
It was next unsurprisingly slapped away from his person as a target while Andrew had climbed up the tree by this time.
As he landed and just got unstable footing, he was struck by a bow and his back fell to trunk.
In response, he pushed himself back and kicked his attacker’s calf as he was still bent from his strike and the guy fell off the tree forcing a bone to be snapped.
“Titus Afrin, has been eliminated.”
One of the evictee’s fiends showed shock at the bone jutting out and his screaming friend before light shone on him but another had knocked an arrow.
Andrew bent before this arrow was loosed and took a risk to leap forward where he struggled with the archer who had not been distracted.
And When the distracted one came to, a shoe slapped his face which twisted its features before he could knock an arrow in that direction.
Andrew and the archer struggled until they were connected to the branch only by their hands, dangling off it.
They kicked and grunted and squirmed until their forearms now supported their entire body weight.
Jake kept the other archer busy, eventually deciding to aim his bow at the hanging Andrew.
Then Jake kicked off Andrew’s back after delivering a flying kick to it so his friend slammed into the hanging archer.
But none of them had let the bow go free, meaning that the arrow missed and nobody was ultimately injured.
The distant Archer boy pulled a dagger out of his pocket and ran to stab at Andrew who was swinging from Jake’s intervention.
“Free your left hand!”
Andrew obeyed and his hands felt a breeze passing where they had just been.
The once distant archer body retrieved the dagger with ease as that was his drawing arm.
Now that Andrew currently swung on one hand, it took a while to acclimatize to the situation, finally letting go of his other hand, when their swing was slower and more in sync.
Andrew’s opponent with the bow snatched the branch out of desperation but just as his reflexes had saved him, he felt extra weight pulling on him and quickly grabbed with his other hand to stabilize himself.
Basically, now that Andrew caught the boys leg with one hand and stabilized himself by adding the 2nd, he began wriggling and attempting to destabilize his anchor to the branch.
The boy on the branch did not know how to shoot Andrew without firing at his teammate, so he took aim at Jake.
But Jake had used another flying kick – at the archer who was hanging on the tree branch this time – and the kick carried their opponent to the ground
In fact, Jake had kicked high up the boy’s chest so that he was destined to have his back slam onto the floor.
Andrew’s weight and position further exacerbated the attack.
“WHACK!”
And the announcer would have made noise about his defeat after he rolled into a get up and slammed his back into a tree for balance.
Finally, Jake snatched his crest and punctured his thumb on the needle behind.
