The hotel was some distance from Iron Cross Street, and Roger arrived after about twenty minutes of walking.

During this time, the tabby kitten remained quietly on his shoulder, neither making noise nor fussing, responding with an air of satisfaction to the strange looks from passersby.

Roger, dressed as a gentleman, paired with a dirty little stray cat, was an extremely eye-catching sight no matter how you looked at it.Full novel: Lord Of Mysteries: Star of Judgment — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

“The Attention-Seeker potion has been digested a little more…”

Roger quietly felt the changes within himself, pushed open the hotel door, and then, while the front desk attendant wasn’t paying attention, quickly went up to the second floor and returned to his room.

Most hotels in Tingen City prohibited bringing animals, and while he had a need to act like a Attention-Seeker, that was different from deliberately provoking trouble.

“Click.”

Closing the door, Roger let out a long breath.

He picked up the kitten, which was looking around, took it to the washroom for a good bath, dried it with a towel, and placed it by the fireplace to dry its fur.

Taking this opportunity, Roger went downstairs to the hotel restaurant and ordered half a garlic bread, a vegetable cream soup, a few slices of cured meat, and a bottle of fresh milk, bringing them back to his room on a tray.

He poured the milk for the kitten, watched it feast, and finally relaxed, eating his lunch while flipping through the notes he had brought from the Abraham Family’s residence.

“‘Apprentice’ potion formula… After consumption, one can freely pass through solid mediums like walls and locked doors by leveraging their connection to the spirit world.”

As a large family that had completely mastered a Path of the Gods, the Abraham Family’s research into the “Apprentice” was extremely extensive, containing many details Roger had never known, leaving him dazzled for a time.

The notes even contained many discussions about the symbolism and essence of the “Door” pathway, as well as explanations of the Acting Method—a treasure trove of knowledge that wild Beyonder could not access.

“If it weren’t for Mr.

Door causing no demigods to appear among his descendants, the Abraham Family would probably have developed into a powerful aristocratic family no less than the Tudor Family long ago.”

Roger felt a little emotional, but thinking that forces that mastered the “Three-Cawardly” pathways were somewhat abnormal, he no longer dwelled on it.

Wiping his mouth, Roger took out the “Apprentice” potion auxiliary materials and a beaker he had prepared and brought from the family, and began heating them with the oil lamp provided by the hotel.

He added the auxiliary materials to the beaker in sequence according to the measurements, and then took out the Sequence 9 “Apprentice” Beyonder characteristic he had previously separated from his body and added it in.

The potion quickly stabilized and formed.

He removed the beaker from the oil lamp, poured out the potion, and then made enticing sounds to the tabby cat, which had just finished licking its milk and still wanted more.

The cat had been hungry for too long, and after finally getting a meal, it still felt unsatisfied.

Seeing Roger give it a gelatinous, jelly-like object, it ate it in two or three gulps without thinking.

“Burp…”

Roger distinctly heard the cat, which was lying on the ground, eyes narrowed in satisfaction, let out a satisfied burp.

He dared not let his guard down and sat beside it to observe.

In the original work, when Susie ate the “Spectator” potion, she was already the weight of a large dog, but the tabby cat at hand was still too small.

God knew if it would show any signs of losing control and turn into a monster.

Sure enough, the tabby cat, which had been comfortably lying on the ground, suddenly let out a strange cry, flipped over, and stood up.

It arched its back as if startled, its fur standing on end, and began to hiss sharply at the corner of the wall.

Roger rushed forward to try and soothe it, but to his surprise, the tabby cat charged, directly disappearing into the wall, vanishing without a trace.

“An Apprentice’s wall-piercing?”

Roger was dumbfounded.

The next moment, he heard a woman’s startled cry, stomping, and the sound of heavy objects falling from the adjacent room.

Someone was also pressing the call bell for the front desk while cursing loudly.

“It’s over, this time it’s gone too far.”

An Beyonder incident involving an animal appearing in a busy urban area would most likely alarm the Nighthawks team to investigate, and he would definitely get into trouble.

Although he wanted to have further contact with Klein, it was not in this manner for the other party to understand him again.

Thinking of this, Roger quickly opened his door and ran towards the room from which the terrified screams were coming, then knocked on the door.

A young lady, disheveled and somewhat flushed, came to open the door.

Roger looked over her shoulder and saw a shirtless, portly middle-aged man chasing the scurrying tabby cat with a book.

“You are?”

The lady asked doubtfully.

Roger lied, claiming to be a front desk staff member, bowed slightly, and darted in to catch the tabby cat.

Seeing this, the middle-aged man stopped his pursuit.

He looked at Roger with considerable anger, clearly resenting the cat for ruining his good time.

“I’m going to complain to the Tingen City Hotel Management Association!

Have your license revoked!”

The other party’s neck turned red as he roared loudly.

Just as he was about to curse a few more times, he suddenly felt a tightness in his neck.

The next moment, a huge force dragged him backward.

The middle-aged man looked up and saw that it was the young woman who was with him.

Although she displayed beautiful curves, she had, in a short time, burst forth with strength that was inconsistent with her physique.

Every single detail, every single content, was perfect!

At the same time, her flushed eyes seemed to contain an uncontainable impatience and impulse.

The man was about to speak, but he also felt his mind go blank and a blind Eager surging up.

Without thinking, he grabbed the woman’s hand, and the two of them rolled on the floor.

Roger wrapped the now somewhat calmed tabby cat in his clothes, bowed politely, closed the door, and walked towards his own room.

Unexpectedly, he ran into the front desk attendant, who still had some grease on her lips and was rushing over in a hurry.

She looked at him suspiciously: “Did you press the call bell just now?”

“No, it seems like the gentleman and lady next door had a bit of a dispute, I went to check, and it’s fine now.”

Roger pointed his thumb at the room behind him, from which indescribable sounds were now coming, and smiled.

The front desk lady’s face flushed, and she nodded somewhat awkwardly, no longer asking questions, and left the second floor directly.

Roger finally breathed a sigh of relief.

He returned to his room and locked the door.

“I didn’t expect the ‘Agitator’ ability could be used this way.”

Roger, using his pathway’s active ability for the first time, gained some new insights.

He originally thought he could only make people lose emotional control, but he hadn’t realized that “impatience” and “getting carried away” were also forms of emotional loss of control.

“Good thing this kitten didn’t mutate.”

The kitten had now calmed down.

Compared to its previous ignorance, its eyes now held more clarity, and it was looking around the room and at Roger.

“When I was little, my parents’ nickname for me was ‘Bandit,’ which means Bandit in Loen slang.

“You inherited my Beyonder characteristic and caused a Bandit-like farce, so let’s call you that.

From now on, we’ll be partners.”

Roger knew that the cat had, like Susie, initially developed self-awareness.

He then gently stroked its back and extended his right hand towards it.

Bandit also suddenly stopped moving upon hearing this.

It sat down, thought for a moment, and actually extended its right paw, lightly touching Roger’s right hand.

There will be another update later.
