Chapter 24: Meeting The Queen Glorias, Hella’s interest

Madness: I Became The Void Itself

In the throne hall, Arthur was standing in front of the queen of vampires feeling multiple gazes on him with one of them being hostile.

And it was from the three clan heads, and that killing intent was obviously coming from the Blu clan head depsite appearing calm.

He then looked up at the person sitting on the throne with a face that was hard to read to him, she was shrouded in mystery that he couldn’t explain.

Her white hair cascaded down her back in waves with bangs and strands framing her dangerously beautiful face.

The pair of deep blood-red eyes looked at him with calm authority mixed with a hint of interest and curiosity.

They all could feel it, the kind of anomaly in front of them.

BA-DUM!

BA-DUM!

A beating heart, yet at the same time he smelled like one of them. It wasn’t illusion or any kind of magic but a reality standing before them.

’Strange, why I feel so....attracted? To him?’ Glorias said inwardly not letting her thoughts out.

But she threw that thought out of her mind in the next second. To her, it was useless thinking about this kind of thing.

While on the other hand, Hella Cross, the golden haired woman looked at him differently.

’A walking weapon. Heh, he is really trained to the bone.’ Her lemon green eyes gleamed with unconealed interest as she observed his body that though looked relaxed was ready to act at any apparent act of hostility.

’But he still need some more refinement.’ She thought, her eyes still on him.

She too noticed the anomaly in him, his beating heart that was strong and filled with vigor, but didn’t care about that one bit.

"You see, your majesty, this anomaly right here? We can’t let him live like that or else unfortunate things may happen." The middle-aged man, Alfred Blu, said as he looked down on Arthur. He didn’t consider him one of them at all.

Besides, there really might be unfortunate things if he lived.

And Ava, who was standing beside him all this time, was fuming with anger as she wanted to rip that face off Alfred.

"Hmm...quite true."

"Your majesty! Are you agreeing with him?!" Ava exclaimed as she heard the queen agreeing.

"Yeah, if we let him live like that, some of those god’s fanatics might find him and think that we, vampires, are conducting hybridization experiments to create a powerful breed which goes against the treaty that we signed in the far past." The queen Glorias said in a cold calm voice that didn’t show any hesitation.

Hearing that, Ava gritted her teeth as what the queen had just said was right, Arthur might be suspected as a victim in those kinds of disgusting experiments which was totally forbidden and doing so, would cause the other factions to apply snactions on them, and that wouldn’t be good at all.

As there are some factions opposed to them and one of them is the greek factions led by Zeus, the Godking of Olympus.

Everything went totally against him. But Arthur himself hadn’t said anything from the beginning, he had just came here and heard this conversation that was obviously about him. Which he, in fact, didn’t like as its contents weren’t good so far.

"Not only this your majesty, the Rains also had their hands in this as the youngest daughter was the one who turned him into a vampire creating such a....thing. By far, he couldn’t be considered a human nor a vampire or anything else. He is something entirely different from other races." Alfred said looking at Scarlet with a gaze filled with scorn which made her annoyed.

"You sick bastard, your incompetent son started all of this! If it wasn’t for him attacking him suddenly then none of this would have happened!" She said in a deep voice that contained her fury as she looked at him with deep frown that made the middle-aged man shiver a little.

’This fucking bitch!’ He roared inwardly before regaining his composure and released a soft sigh.

"For that, I’m ready to accept any punishment your majesty can grant."

’Hmm~ you are digging your own grave, don’t you? Or you just don’t care about your son?’ Glorias thought as she heard this.

Ava was totally silent unable to respond to all of these accusations toward her and her family.

She was frustrated that she couldn’t look at Arthur anymore.

"What do you say in this, Hella? You are totally silent from the beginning." Glorias said as she looked at the tall woman who hadn’t said a thing from the beginning.

"It doesn’t matter, does it? Besides—" As she said so, her eyes gleamed as she looked at Arthur who felt that something was coming at him like a curve ball that he couldn’t dodge.

"We can just keep him here and problem solved, no one will know anything, right?" A smile graced her lips as she looked back at Glorias who—from the beginning of all of this—smiled.

"You are right, we can do that."

"You can’t your majesty! Letting such an anomaly to exist is so dangerous to us all! A war is the least we are hoping for considering our decreasing numbers." Alfred snapped immediately as he heard this.

’No, I mustn’t lose this chance to take everything back!’

"Are you ordering me, Alred Blu?" The cold voice of the queen sounded as she looked down at him with an icy glare that made him shiver and feel as if he was going to die if he did any simple movement or even say something else.

"N-n-no your m-majesty." He stuttered.

"Well, if you want him dead that much, then how about a fight? Your son against him? Or I forgot, he is in a sorry state right now. Is he recovering well?" Hella said in a voice dripping with derision.

One of the things that Hella didn’t like was the existence of incompetent fools who acted like clowns because of some wealth and position.

"Then what do I get from that?" Alfred said as he heard such suggestion.

"If you won, he will simply die. That’s what you want after all."

"Y-yes." He said so, but his voice had that hint of dissatisfaction to it as if he wanted something more.

And for this, Scarlet came forward to do her part.

"Considering my daughter’s involvement in the matter, he will be fighting for us as well, and if you won, you get to have what you wanted."

This made Alfred smile widely feeling content with his victory already before the battle even began.

’He is quite sure of his victory, humm~ let’s see what you will do, Alfred~’ The queen thought to herself.

"Considering both parts agreeing to the battle, then I give my affirmation. You can choose the time of the battle, the place will be the grand arena." The queen said.

"As you wish your majesty. Then the battle will start three days from now, be sure to prepare well you filth." As Alfred said so, he immediately walked out of the throne all without looking back.

"That fucking bastard! I’m gonna kill him myself!"Ava shouted after had left as she was so angry that she wanted to rip him apart to pieces.

Alfred’s wide smile was so provocative making Ava even more angry whenever she remebered it.

" Calm down Ava, that damn worm is not worthy of your anger." Scarlet said with a voice containing rage she didn’t let out.

She really hated Alfred.

"Well, now to the most important part~" Then suddenly, they heard Hella who already walked in front of Arthur.

"You only got three days before facing your opponent. Are you sure you can win?" The woman ovserved his reactions carefully with those sharp eyes behind the glasses.

And Arthur also calmly observed her as he felt her gaze all the time during the previous heated conversation that he doubted that she had a thing for him at some point.

"I would have objected if I wasn’t sure I would win." He finally said his first words since coming here in this hall.

"Hoo~ quite the confidence you have~" This made her smile.

"It’s not confidence, but a reality that is surly coming."

’After all, I didn’t go through that hell for nothing.’ He said to himself inwardly.

And this made Hella smile even more that her eyes were filled with a hint of glee and excitement.

"Sure know how to talk for a newly born vampire. But looking at your body, I can understand where your confidence is coming from."

’So sharp.’ He thought.

"And this is not enough. You should understand that there is a difference between a human being and vampire. In all body attributes plus other things. I can see that learned martial arts, right?"

Arthur nodddd, curious at what she was going to say.

"But you need to know how to adjust what you learned to your current body, so you could benefit from it in the most effective way. And if you did so, your power will witness a huge leap."

He nodded at her words as Arthur thought about this before. Being a vampire meant superior body and mind than humans.

So, he thinking of finding ways to help adjust those techniques he had learned to his new body.

The process would be more like installing an OS on a new pc.

"Then how do I do it?"

This earned him a smile from her before she adjusted the glasses and said. "Follow me then." Before she walked out of the throne hall.

Seeing her go, Arthur turned to Ava and kissed her lips.

"I will be back." Then he went after Hella.
