Carter’s POV
The morning sun shone out from the window casting its light on me, grudgingly I got up from the bed and made my way to the window.
I closed the curtain and proceeded to go back to the bed when I saw her.
She was sleeping so peacefully without any worry in the world.
I became alarmed thinking that I slept with her then I remembered that we didn’t.
“Hey !
Wake up !” I went to her and roused her.
“No mmmm oh no” she mumbled, shifting away from me.
“Abigail !” I called loudly but she still didn’t wake up.
So I went back to the window and opened it, when I was lying that I was actually blocking some of the sunlight from reaching her.
But now it was shining on her now with full force yet she didn’t wake up.
“How will I wake her up?” I thought then an idea came to my head.
Smirking, I went to the bed and straddled her, my hands went to her shirt button as I slowly undid the first one.
Abigail’s eyes shot open immediately and without warning she pushed me off and got up.
“What did you think you were doing?” She asked, her eyes burning with rage as she nervously placed the button back in position.
“You have to prepare to meet my father” I replied and sat down on the bed.
“You said that you won’t touch me, then what were you doing then” her voice has reduced and it seems as if she was begging me.
I turned to her chuckling, “I own you Abigail and I will do anything I want to you” I said.
“No, you don’t own me !” She shot back.
When I stood up her eyes flicked sideways, probably looking for how to escape.
As I got closer she moved backwards till her back was touching the wall.
I trapped her with my left hand then used the other hand to lift her face up.
“Abigail Hayes, I own you, you are my property and you have to obey me.
Failure to do so, you will be severely punished, understand?”.
She nodded her head nervously, “I need to hear them” I ordered.
“I understand Sir and I will do anything you ask me to do” she replied, trembling.

“Good, now go and prepare, you don’t want to keep my father” I said then went back to the bed and sat down.
She slowly walked to the bathroom and went in, I took my phone and called Rodrigo.
“Good morning, Boss” he greeted when the call connected.
“Has the shipment arrived?” I asked.
“No Boss, it is on its way,” he replied.
“Okay, call me immediately it arrives” I ordered then hung up the call.
Five minutes later, Abigail came out of the bathroom with a towel on her body.
She walked nervously to the bag beside the wardrobe and started looking to get her clothes.
“Are you trying to seduce me, Abigail?” I asked and she turned sharply at me.
“Don’t get me wrong, you didn’t take your clothes to the bathroom now you are here naked looking for your clothes” I said.
“I am not trying to seduce you, Sir,” she replied.
“Looks like you are,” I smirked.
She turned back to the bag and hurriedly took her clothes and then rushed to the bathroom.
I chuckled then adjusted the cover on me and closed my eyes.
I knew when she came out of the bathroom but I didn’t open my eyes, instead I used my ear to sense her movement.
“Sir !” She called.
“What?” I asked, still closing my eyes.
“I am ready,” she replied.
“Good,” I stood up from the bed.
“Wait let me freshen up”
After freshening up, I came back to the room and led her out of the room to the dining room.
My father, stepmother and brother were already seated so we greeted them and sat down back.
It was only my father that I greeted while Abigail greeted everybody.
“How are you doing, Abi?” Grace asked.
How are you?” Abigail asked.
“I am fine dear, we would have woken you guys up but didn’t want to disturb you guys” Grace replied and winked.
Abigail giggled blushing softly, “mother,”
“Are you free this morning, Carter?” my father asked.
“Yes Sir”
“Then we will discuss after I come back with Abigail, and Abigail, hope you are ready?”
“Yes father,” she replied.
Grace looked from my father to Abigail then to me, she must be probably wondering what we were talking about.
But I knew she wouldn’t have the courage to ask what that was.
“Brother, I have the basketball pitch fixed, since you are moving in we will be using it” Roman chipped in.
“Don’t think I will have time for that, even if I do I would definitely invest it on something profitable” I replied.
“Carter, why do you hate your brother so much?, he is just trying to be nice and you are being rude”
“Enough !All of you shut up and eat your food !” my Dad snapped.
Everybody focused on their food but that didn’t stop us from glaring at each other.
After breakfast I went straight to my study room which I usually use whenever I am here.
It was just exactly like I left it the last time I came, I sat down on the desk and scanned the room.
Since I will be moving back here, I think I need to retouch some things here to make it more convenient for me.
When I was still scanning the room, my phone started ringing and I took it out from my pant’s pocket.
“Boss, we have a problem,” Rodrigo informed, his voice alarmed.
“What is wrong?” I asked, trying to calm myself.
“The shipments are..”
I didn’t allow him to finish his statement, hanging up the call I kept the phone on the table and rushed out of the room.
Racing towards the front door, I met my father and Abigail there.
“What’s wrong?” My father asked.
“My shipments are in trouble” I replied, turned the door knob and raced out of the house.
