My legs suddenly gave out beneath me, and I felt myself tumbling at the floor.
I landed with a thud, my body hitting the floor hard.
My palms stung as I tried to break my fall, but my knee hit the floor first, sending a shockwave of pain through my whole body.
I laid there for about ten minutes before I had the strength to call Rodrigo, he wasn’t answering.
Fuck, this is bad, I should have let him help me.
I tried calling again but he wasn’t answering so I tried crawling to the bathtub, with each crawl the pain intensified.
Then I tried to get up again, an intense shockwave of pain rushed in my head and I screamed.
The next moment, someone had carried me up and placed me gently into the water.
“What happened?” His eyes were filled with fear and worry.
“I fell down” I grunted like it was no big deal.
“Shit, will you agree for me to help you now?”
“Fine, get on with it but don’t you even bring it up ever in your life or I will skin you alive” I threatened.
“Of course Boss, I won’t try such” he promised.
“Now get on with it”
He firstly washed out the blood that had dried up on my body and pulled out the drain stopper.
“You have to remove these,” he said, pointing at my pants.
I had removed my shirt earlier when he led me into the room.
As I tried to open my zipper, I couldn’t help but notice Rodrigo’s focus on it.
I might have imagined it but I sort of saw him lick his lower lip then bit it afterwards.
“What’s wrong Boss?” He asked.
“Bring me the body soap and fragrance” I requested.
“Okay” he said then went to get the stuff for me.
“Here” he kept it on the small table close to the bathtub where my hand could reach it.
“Then shift away till I tell you to come and don’t you dare peep”
“Sure Boss” he walked away and I made sure that he was not looking.
Then I opened my zipper and slowly and carefully pulled it off my legs.
I turned it off when it reached the level I wanted.
Then I poured in the body soap and fragrance, I splashed the water till it foamed.
“You can now come and help me Rodrigo” I said.
He walked back to the bathtub and took the sponge and started scrubbing my body with careful scrub.
As much as I hate the situation that I am in now, I can’t help but feel relief, my aching bruises have reduced.
After scrubbing, he walked away and I then pulled out the drain stopper.
When all the water was gone, I put it back then turned the water on.
I immediately rinsed myself and told Rodrigo to bring a towel for me.
He brought it to me, “close your eyes and help me up” I ordered.
“Okay Boss” he helped me to get out of the tub, he held me by the stomach while I quickly wrapped myself with the towel.
“Take me to the room”
He led me out of the bathroom into the room and sat me down on the bed.
“Just bring me some clothes and leave”
“But..”
“Just do as I say” I interrupted.
He nodded, then went to my wardrobe to bring some clothes for me.
He got a comfortable shirt and shirt and kept it on the bed.
“You can go now and remember to be alert, tomorrow is no ordinary day” I said.
“I will Boss, are you sure..”
“Rodrigo, get out”
“That damn boy,” I muttered when he left the room.
Gritting my teeth, I took the clothes and slowly wore them and then laid down on the bed to sleep.
Today was a happy day for me, I know that tomorrow will be more happier.
Even though I went through so much pain and I will be going through another one tomorrow, I didn’t mind.
I was finally inheriting the empire from my father and that’s all that matters.

He hung up before I could reply.
I kept the phone back on the bed and went to the bathroom to shower, after that I came out only to hear a commotion coming outside the room.
I went to the door and tried to open it but it was locked, I didn’t lock it which means that it was locked from outside.
“Who do you think you are locking in this room !” I yelled.
“Boss, boss, they wouldn’t let me come in !”
I heard Rodrigo’s voice from outside.
“Rodrigo !” I called.
“Yes Boss” he answered.
“Who locked the door?” I asked.
“It is the two bodyguards outside your door, they claimed that you had to prepare alone” he replied.
“Hey you two scumbags !, were you asked by the Kingpin to stand by my door?” I asked.
“Yes Boss” they chorused.
