His posture became steady, and his breathing was long and even.

“Hoo—”

Shu took a deep breath, then stepped forward sharply.Full novel: Main God Invades Naruto: No One is a Regular Uchiha Anymore — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

His right foot stomped hard against the clean floor, his waist and stance fusing instantly, and force surged from his heel through his entire body.

*CRACK!*

He threw a deceptively simple Heart-Piercing Elbow into the empty air, yet somehow it produced a roaring explosion.

The fierce wind generated even blew the hair on his forehead straight back.

“Such overbearing power!”

Shu stared at his own elbow with immense satisfaction: “Even though this strike isn’t coated with Cursed Energy or Chakra, relying solely on the pure physical destructive power of Bajiquan is enough to shatter an ordinary person’s sternum along with their heart to pieces in an instant.”

Shu withdrew his stance contentedly.

Once the excitement subsided, he glanced back at his pitiful balance.

After that round of wild spending, his previously plump wallet now retained only a lonely 300 Reward Points, and his Plots were completely wiped out.

“Hah, I originally wanted to save up to buy items like a spatial ring or storage scrolls, but it looks like that’s out of the window now.”

Shu shook his head helplessly.

“Forget it, good items should be used for crucial moments. Strength is the foundation. Saving these remaining 300 points is useless anyway, might as well spend them all.”

Shu quickly searched through the consumable list, spending 100 Reward Points to purchase several sets of high-quality combat attire and inner protective armor.

He spent another 100 Reward Points to trade for various medical supplies, firearms, bombs, and so on.

The final 100 Reward Points were even exchanged for a few gold bars, food, and other daily consumables.

Only when his balance reached zero did Shu stretch his body with satisfaction.

“What needed to be reinforced is reinforced, what needed to be bought is fully acquired.”

Shu raised his head and glanced at the Main God Space’s light sphere.

“Main God! Submit an application to end the stay! Return to the original world!”

*SHUA!*

As Shu’s words finished, a white light flashed.

Shu’s figure instantly vanished without a trace.

◆━⊰✿✧✿⊱━◆

Konoha Village, the Uchiha clan residential district, a house on the outskirts.

*SHUA!*

A white light flashed, and Shu reappeared right where he had left.

He steadied his footing and looked around.

The familiar tatami mat, the wooden table—everything here was precisely the same as when he had departed.

“Hoo… returned safely.”

Shu let out a long breath, then turned to look at the antique wall clock hanging on the wall.

“This… only a second has passed?!”

“It seems that no matter how many days I spend in the Main God Space or mission worlds, for the Naruto World, time practically stops relatively, or you could say it passes in the blink of an eye!” Enjoying the story? Read on at novelping.com.

“Even like this, it’s pretty good.”

After confirming the environment was safe, Shu finally relaxed completely.

Although he currently had a strong urge to test his new strength, it was already late at night, and it would be very troublesome if someone else came looking for him.

Thus, he suppressed his excitement, collapsed onto the tatami mat, and fell asleep.

◆━⊰✿✧✿⊱━◆

The next day at dawn.

A loud shout suddenly exploded in the courtyard.

“Brother Ji! Come on! What are you spacing out for? Hurry up and get out here! Today’s patrol duty isn’t light!!”

Hearing that aggravating call, Shu’s pleasant dream was shattered.

The vein on his forehead throbbed twice.

He violently pushed open the wooden door and snapped at the fellow in the courtyard: “Uchiha Akashi! This is my absolute final warning—can you get my name right for once?!”

“Huh?

What’s wrong?” Akashi scratched the back of his head, “Brother Ji?

Brother Shu?

Aren’t they basically the same?!”

“Same my ass, you blockhead!”

Shu stared at him speechlessly, walking down the stairs quickly while buttoning his shirt.

Every time he heard that damn nickname “Brother Ji,” his brain couldn’t help conjuring the image of a certain guy wearing overalls and a middle-part hairstyle.

This grinning fellow in front of him was Uchiha Akashi, a childhood friend who had grown up with him since they were running around naked.

Although this guy was also an Uchiha, his talent was just as pathetic as the original body’s owner.

Ninjutsu and Taijutsu were both terrible, and to this day, he hadn’t even awakened the Sharingan.

After barely graduating from the Ninja Academy, because their strengths were unreliable, the two of them were bundled together and assigned to the Konoha Military Police Force as lowest-tier members.

You know how entry-level staff are!

Everyone understands!

Their daily duties involved handling annoying trivia like finding lost village cats, resolving couples’ squabbles, and dealing with street vendors blocking the roads.

Shu sighed, walking over to the washbasin to splash water on his face: “Why are you here so early today?”

“Don’t even ask, Brother Shu!”

Akashi immediately put on a miserable expression and complained: “Today, that illegitimate grandson Uchiha Kenshu assigned us quite a heavy workload!”

“He demanded that the two of us patrol the commercial street back and forth three times today! Not only that, but there are also several cases of shop disputes piled up waiting to be settled there. The parties involved are all unreasonable old grandpas and grandmas! The type of people who will drop straight to the ground if you barely touch them. They’re such a pain to deal with!”

Speaking up to this point, Akashi spat on the ground in annoyance: “Damn it! That guy must be settling a personal score! Deliberately dumping this dirty, exhausting job that gets zero appreciation and is easy to catch flak for right onto us!”

Hearing that name, Shu’s gesture of washing his face paused for a moment, and his brow furrowed.

Old grandpas and grandmas? You are reading on g.com, the official source.

That truly was exasperating.

Especially since they were the “crafty Konoha villagers.”

It was an open secret that Konoha’s villagers were absolute “demons”!

Here, villagers living under the glow of the “Will of Fire” possessed a personal character quite unique in the shinobi world.

It didn’t matter if you were the Hokage’s child or the successor of a major clan.

Or just a commoner—Konoha villagers bullied everyone fairly.

Of course, good people existed, like Uncle Ichiraku who insisted on making ramen for Naruto.

However, such people were far too few.

Meanwhile, those old grandpas and grandmas on the commercial street who dared to pull pouchi (faking a hit) over a dispute of a few copper coins, screaming and rolling around on the ground—they were the “fighter jets” among these demon villagers.

As members of the Military Police Force, if you dared to lay a finger on them, the next day rumors about “the Uchiha Clan using violent law enforcement to oppress the people” would spread across the entire village.

If you didn’t act, they would climb right onto your head and relieve themselves there.

They were called the Military Police Force, but the title “Urban Management Officers” would be far more accurate.

At every turn, Shu had to pretend to be a good person to mediate.

This was truly a thoroughly unappreciated, disgusting, dirty job.

As for Uchiha Kenshu?

He was their classmate from the Ninja Academy, of a similar age.

However, his talent was quite decent; he had awakened the Two-Tomoe Sharingan early on.

A few years ago, he successfully promoted to elite Chunin, and now he was even the deputy captain of the Military Police Force’s fourth squad, which happened to supervise Shu and Akashi.

Back when they were in the academy, Akashi couldn’t stand Kenshu’s arrogant attitude of always walking around with his nose in the air, so the two of them got into verbal arguments several times and even resorted to physical fights—though Akashi got thoroughly beaten up unilaterally.

Since Akashi couldn’t win and couldn’t swallow that grievance, he roped Shu into it.

Originally, Shu had zero interest in meddling in such childish brawls.

Yet, unable to stand Akashi whining with snot and tears, his heart softened, and he accompanied Akashi to waylay Kenshu.

At first, they did manage to win slightly and beat Kenshu up a few times.

However, the good times didn’t last.

As they grew older, Kenshu’s talent began to manifest.

The amount of chakra he refined far surpassed the two of them, his progress in Taijutsu and Ninjutsu was extremely fast, and he even unlocked his eyes earlier.

From that point on, the roles of defense and offense reversed.

Every time a conflict occurred, it became an opportunity for Shu and Akashi to be unilaterally beaten to a pulp by Kenshu, without even a chance to fight back.

Ever since then, the grudge had taken deep root.

Afterward, the difference in talent between Uchiha Shu and Akashi was fully exposed.

Shu was still passable; at least he had awakened a single tomoe, though due to issues with his Ninjutsu aptitude, no matter how he studied, he couldn’t master any decent Ninjutsu, which was why he had never been promoted to Chunin.

Meanwhile, Akashi was far more miserable: not only was his Ninjutsu terrible, but even his Sharingan failed to awaken.

As an Uchiha, being stuck at the Genin level in your twenties—while not openly cursed as a disgrace within the family—was clearly a matter of immense embarrassment.

After all, you’re an Uchiha; even if you truly lacked the talent to awaken the eyes, relying solely on the Uchiha clan’s innate chakra reserves and physical fitness far exceeding ordinary civilians, couldn’t you just casually practice Taijutsu and Ninjutsu and get promoted to Chunin as easily as flipping your hand?
