Li Wu was initially surprised, but then he relaxed.
For this game, the country even introduced new regulations, so such a groundbreaking development wasn't too surprising.
As the warning ended, a figure dressed in simple cloth appeared before Li Wu, looking exactly like him, even down to the mole on his right cheek.
His vision blurred for a moment, and the figure disappeared. But Li Wu quickly realized that it hadn't vanished; he had become that figure.
Touching the clothes on his body, the realistic sensation made his hair stand on end.
This is too real!
Is this what they call virtual reality technology?
Li Wu's shock hadn't subsided when his surroundings suddenly brightened, and he found himself on a vast battlefield.
Thunderous roars echoed through the sky as countless monsters converged from all directions.
Around Li Wu, countless humans appeared, dressed in all sorts of strange attire, wielding a variety of weapons.
In the sky, numerous figures in robes held magic staffs, chanting spells at distant monsters, sending fireballs, gusts of wind, and hailstones crashing down on them.
These scenes seemed normal to Li Wu; he had played many games before college, so he wasn't unfamiliar with this.
But what puzzled Li Wu were the many unreasonable scenes in the images.
Modern weapons!
Besides the various class weapons, many people were holding not swords, but firearms.
Pistols, rifles, machine guns, and even mortars!
Is this the kind of scene that should appear in a game?
Before Li Wu could complain, a dark shadow suddenly swooped down and grabbed him, its sharp claws piercing through his shoulder.
The excruciating pain from his shoulder was so realistic that Li Wu couldn't help but scream.
The next moment, he was lifted into the air.
In his daze, he vaguely saw the once-mighty Human Legion below being swallowed by the endless sea of monsters.
One by one, powerful warriors, noble mages, and countless ordinary soldiers, regardless of status, became fodder for the monsters.
Li Wu's vision slowly dimmed, and the breath of life gradually faded away.
The next moment, the scene changed.
Li Wu found himself standing in a grand hall, but the overly realistic sensation of death left him gasping for breath.

As the system notification sound faded, the scene before Li Wu changed, and the next moment he appeared in a plaza.
Around him, white light flashed continuously as people appeared, either screaming in pain or cursing loudly.
"Damn! Died again, it hurts too much!"
"Hehe, I died peacefully this time, didn't feel any pain before coming back."
"This game is crazy! I got strangled to death by a giant python, it took a whole minute before I suffocated."
"Damn! Why are you naked?"
"Shit! I was having a wild encounter with my wife, and some bastard shot me with an arrow. I wasn't wearing any equipment, had no defense, and died instantly."
"Wild encounter! Drool~~ So your wife was naked too?"
"Fuck!"
Li Wu's vision went white, and a stark naked figure appeared right in front of him, followed by a piercing scream.
Although equipping was quick, Li Wu's sharp eyes caught a glimpse of that bare white figure, and as someone who's been single since birth, he almost had a nosebleed on the spot.

"Slash? What's that?"
Li Wu curiously opened the Character Panel.

[Skill: Fireball: Deals 130% Spell Damage, Cooldown Time 2.5 seconds. (Note: Universal beginner skill, will be adjusted after class change.)]
[Talent: Slash (Upgradeable)]
[Slash: Attacks or skills deal True Damage equal to 0.1% of the target's Health. Special: Upgradeable, killing outdoor bosses of the same level or higher can increase by 0.1% (each level boss can trigger three times.)]
Li Wu frowned as he read the description of his talent.
Dealing true damage with each strike seems effective for fighting monsters, but the base value is too low, only 0.1%. That means without considering his own attack damage, it would take a thousand hits to kill a monster.
Unless there's a huge level gap, what monster would require a thousand hits? And if the level gap is too big, the monster could kill him in one bite, how could he hit it a thousand times?
Even if the attack damage matched the Slash damage, it would still take five hundred hits, and the monster could still kill him.
For a monster that needs a hundred hits, even if he could use potions to keep hitting, the Slash value would become redundant, just an extra hit.
Unless the Slash level is raised significantly, but outdoor bosses don't sound easy to kill, and with such a large player base, any outdoor boss would probably be swarmed as soon as it spawns.
Li Wu sighed, no longer dwelling on the so-called talent.
Opening his backpack, a row of weapons came into view.
Black Bread*3 (Restores 3 points of Fullness Value)
Mineral Water*3 (You need it)
Wooden Sword (Beginner Weapon) Physical Attack +6.
Staff (Beginner Weapon) Spell Attack +5.
Handgun (Beginner Weapon) Physical Attack 45 (Note 1: Damage from firearms is related to the weapon itself, character attributes are ineffective. Note 2: Firearms require bullets to be used.)
Handgun Bullets (Quantity 10) Physical Attack +5.
Even handguns are in the game, is this game serious?
