At half past eleven in the deep night, Ye Xixi had long fallen into dreamland. Lu Peishen had just finished his company business in the study. The man raised his eyes and glanced at the time on his wristwatch.
He then reached up to loosen several buttons on his expensive ink-black shirt. Instead of getting up, he clicked open a comic app website on his laptop.
This comic app was the largest comic platform in the country, where thousands of comic artists serialized their works.
Lu Peishen wasn’t a man who enjoyed reading comics, but once while working, a comic advertisement popped up in the lower right corner of his laptop screen.
It featured an update from an author called Lemon Iced Tea, depicting a comic about a young girl and the Wolf King.
Being the Wolf King himself, he instantly developed a strong interest in this comic.
He had been following it from the first episode up to the most recent one.
But for some reason… this author named Lemon Iced Tea had stopped updating over a month ago.
Lu Peishen clicked on the link to the young girl and Wolf King comic.
The last update date shown was still from the previous month.
She hadn’t updated.
Seeing no new chapter available, Lu Peishen had no choice but to give up. He exited the comic app and stood up to return to his bedroom.
Passing through the quiet, long corridor.
The dim wall lamps along the hallway cast a gentle glow.
Lu Peishen strode with his long legs, his footsteps steady yet light as he approached Ye Xixi’s bedroom. When he reached her door,
Lu Peishen hesitated for a moment before pushing it open immediately.
After a few seconds passed, he finally raised his hand and turned the knob to Ye Xixi’s bedroom door.
Pushing it open, he entered.
The bedroom was dark and quiet, but the entire room was filled with the faint fragrance of the young girl. As the Wolf King, Lu Peishen could detect much subtler scents than normal humans.
It was a scent he loved.
Soft and sweet.
Lu Peishen gazed tenderly at the young girl curled up in bed. Beyond the tightly drawn curtains, only a sliver of cold white moonlight seeped through, providing little illumination.
But Lu Peishen could clearly see her face.
Porcelain-white and soft.
The only thing… that pained his heart was the burn scar on her right cheek.
If not for that scar, his Xixi would be the most beautiful young girl.
Thinking of this, Lu Peishen glanced at the cold moonlight outside the window and slowly began removing his shirt…
It wasn’t that he wanted to take advantage of Ye Xixi, but rather to summon his true form, transforming back into a nearly two-meter tall, silver-blue adult Wolf King beast.
Lu Peishen rarely revealed his true form like this.
For Ye Xixi.
He was willing.
He moved quietly to the bedside, lowered his head, and exhaled warm breath carrying the scent of sandalwood, gently brushing against the scar on Ye Xixi’s cheek.
The Wolf King could lick and heal all scars.
Lu Peishen lowered his blue eyes and began gently, slowly licking the scar on Ye Xixi’s cheek, moistening it bit by bit with his tongue.
During the licking process, his furry tail instinctively wrapped gently around Ye Xixi’s leg.
Wrapping tightly.
Lu Peishen couldn’t help but murmur hoarsely: “Baby… so fragrant.”
However, Lu Peishen had good self-control and didn’t proceed further.
Lu Peishen continued carefully and gently licking for a full ten minutes. The scar on Ye Xixi’s face gradually began to fade slightly, though it hadn’t completely disappeared.
Lu Peishen knew when to stop and didn’t continue kissing her scar.
He would continue tomorrow night.
However, as soon as he finished licking, Ye Xixi in her sleep felt her cheek damp and a ticklish sensation around her calves, as if something was wrapping around her, making her somewhat uncomfortable.
She subconsciously whimpered, rubbed her eyes, and tried to wake up.
Seeing this, Lu Peishen’s gaze sharpened. He turned around, quickly reverted to his human form, picked up the scattered clothes from the floor, and dressed hastily.
Just as he finished dressing, there was a soft click.
Ye Xixi had truly been awakened by his licking. She reached out and turned on the bedside wall lamp.
Under the soft orange glow,
Ye Xixi sat up, rubbing her eyelids. When she opened her eyes, she saw Lu Peishen standing by her bedside, his clothes somewhat “disheveled”?
To be fair, Lu Peishen wasn’t particularly “disheveled.”
It was just that the collar of his shirt was unbuttoned a bit too much, revealing his firm and well-built chest muscles.
And below his belt…
Why was there a large “loaf of bread” stuffed there???
Seeing this, Ye Xixi froze for a moment, her face flushing red. “Uncle Lu… why… why are you here?”
Lu Peishen couldn’t possibly tell her that he had come to treat her scar. He coughed awkwardly and said, “I heard you talking in your sleep and thought you…”
Huh? Had she been talking in her sleep?
Was it really that loud?
Loud enough to wake Uncle Lu?
At this thought, Ye Xixi didn’t doubt Lu Peishen’s motive for being in her bedroom at all. Instead, she felt embarrassed that she had been talking so loudly in her sleep.
“Uncle Lu, what… what did I say in my dream?”
Lu Peishen remained calm and composed, elegantly adjusting his shirt as he replied, “Nothing much, just something about running away…”
Oh? It must have been because of the fright from her aunt.
The innocent Ye Xixi believed him completely and immediately blinked her eyes, asking, “Uncle Lu, did I scare you?”
“No, you should rest now,” Lu Peishen said, suppressing the tenderness in his eyes.
Ye Xixi replied with an “Mm,” and said, “Okay, Uncle Lu.”
“Goodnight,” Lu Peishen said softly, taking a few steps closer to her. “I’ll take you to school in the morning.”
Ye Xixi nodded obediently and lay back down.
Lu Peishen turned off the wall lamp for her, took one last affectionate look at the young girl, and reluctantly left the room.
After Lu Peishen had gone,
Ye Xixi suddenly touched the scar on her right cheek—it felt a bit damp???
Why was her face wet???
After a moment’s thought, Ye Xixi wondered if she had drooled during a nightmare.
With that in mind, she didn’t dwell on it further.
She curled up under the cozy blanket and went back to sleep.

Meanwhile, the man who had just left the bedroom stood under the soft hallway light, letting out a quiet sigh. He raised his hand and rubbed his temples firmly.
Thankfully, Ye Xixi was still quite naive.
[Sorry ┭┮﹏┭┮ Uncle Lu, I saw the “loaf of bread.”]
Otherwise, if she had seen the beastly desire that had been stirred up from licking her face, she would have been terrified, right?
Lu Peishen rubbed his temples a few more times but still couldn’t suppress the rising beastly urge. Giving up, he turned and strode back to his own bedroom to take a cold shower.
The next day, Ye Xixi woke up well-rested.
She stretched, got out of bed, and went to wash up.
As she looked at her reflection in the mirror, she froze in surprise.
Her skin seemed much fairer and clearer than yesterday???
Most importantly, the deep, ugly, crooked burn scar on her right cheek seemed to have faded a little?
Ye Xixi thought she must be hallucinating.
She quickly rubbed the scar with her finger—had it not darkened?
Huh? It really had faded a bit???
How strange.
This scar has been here for several years.
She had always thought it would leave her disfigured for life?
Had it actually faded a bit?
But… although it had lightened somewhat, it hadn’t completely healed.
Ye Xixi continued to touch the ugly scar and sighed softly. Would this scar remain with her forever?
Oh well, it’s not like she needed to rely on her looks for a living anyway!
As long as it didn’t look too ugly in front of Uncle Lu.
With that thought, Ye Xixi stopped staring at her scar and didn’t bother covering it with concealer. She turned and headed to the walk-in closet instead.
In the walk-in closet, Ye Xixi randomly picked out a beautiful lotus-colored white dress and put it on.
Come to think of it, how strange? Uncle Lu’s villa shouldn’t have had any female residents before, right?
Then why were there so many pretty dresses for girls in the walk-in closet?
