On a spring rainy night, raindrops beat against the window, seemingly random, yet possessing their own unique rhythm and force.

Inside the room, only a bedside lamp was lit, casting orange-yellow light that illuminated a corner of the room.

A white shirt and a red slip dress were piled together, the red and white hopelessly intertwined, while a single golden high-heeled shoe lay across a navy blue tie.

On the soft, spacious bed, figures intertwined, reflecting an ambiguous and alluring glow.

The man buried his fingers into her waterfall of flowing hair, grabbed it, and leaned down to kiss her with overbearing force.

“Little Sheng Sheng, you can only ever be mine!”

Unable to hold her ground, the woman wanted to escape.

Yet just as her delicate foot reached the edge of the bed, it was seized by a large, wide palm and yanked right back.

The man leaned down, kneeling before her like a devout believer, kissing her from the tips of her toes all the way to her lips, swallowing every muffled sob completely into his throat.

The violent storm of the night thoroughly nourished the long-parched earth, imbuing it with vibrant new life.

The morning after a heavy rainstorm was always exceptionally bright, the morning light glaringly dazzling.

Xu Nansheng frowned, turning over to bury her head in the quilt, but her hand accidentally brushed against a smooth, solid back.

Even if she were still exhausted, this was enough to wake her up instantly.

Xu Nansheng snapped her eyes wide open to find the back of an adult man, broad and solid.

Against his cold, pale skin were tracks of red nail scratches.

Alluring and ambiguous, just looking at them made it easy to imagine how wild last night had been!

Lowering her gaze to look at herself, her snow-white skin was mottled with red marks.

She hadn’t fared any better!

Damn it, how could this male model have zero professional ethics? Tossing her around until she was half-dead last night was one thing, but how could he leave so many marks behind?

Besides, shouldn’t he have left after they finished sleeping together? Why was he still lying here?

She had already paid him, so surely he wasn’t going to cling to her and try to freeload like the college student her best friend Qi Yue had found, right?

No way, she had to slip away!

Quietly, she emerged from beneath the quilt, preparing to climb right over the man.

Yet just as she crawled onto him, the man suddenly spoke.

“Trying to slip away?”

His voice was deep and magnetic, carrying the hoarseness of someone not yet fully awake, rich and pleasant like the sound of a cello.

“Nonsense, I just wanted to go… Oh?”

Her instinctive, defensive excuse abruptly stuck in her throat.

How could this voice sound so familiar?

The next second, the man rolled over onto his back, facing her directly, with only a thin quilt separating them.

The moment she saw the man, Xu Nansheng’s pupils dilated in shock, completely forgetting that she was currently stark naked.

“How… how is it you?”

Yesterday had been her engagement banquet with Gu Hongyu.

Yet her childhood sweetheart and fiancé since youth hadn’t shown his face from start to finish, having been called away by a single phone call from his mistress.

He had left Xu Nansheng alone to face the assembled guests and gossiping whispers.

She, Xu Nansheng, a little princess held in the palm of everyone’s hand since childhood, had become the biggest joke in Jiangcheng overnight.

She had drunk heavily that night and bumped into a man in the hallway of a bar whose physique and looks precisely hit every single point of her aesthetic preferences. Abandoning all caution, she offered three thousand to have him accompany her for the night.

Yet who could possibly tell her why the promised male model had turned into her uncle?

Gu Beiyan wasn’t actually her biological uncle; he was Gu Hongyu’s uncle.

He had grown up playing with Gu Hongyu since childhood, so according to seniority, calling Gu Beiyan uncle was entirely appropriate.

Ever since she was little, Xu Nansheng had been quite willful and arrogant, keeping her distance from everyone except Gu Beiyan.

“Don’t remember?”

Xu Nansheng shook her head, then nodded.

She remembered offering three thousand, and she remembered leaving the bar with the man, and even certain intimate flashes of their intertwining bodies from last night remained vividly etched in her mind.

Yet, she still couldn’t believe that the person entangling her all night was her uncle, Gu Beiyan!

Good grief, was her vision really that bad when she was drunk?

Though they hadn’t seen each other in quite a few years, it shouldn’t have been outrageous enough for her to mistake her partner like this!

The man’s gaze drifted downward, noticing the mottled red marks on her body and her snow-white curves, a restless crimson flashing through his dark eyes as his Adam’s apple bobbed restlessly in his neck.

Desire was swelling, the scorching heat impossible to calm.

Xu Nansheng also noticed his gaze, following the direction of his eyes.

“Ah!”

The second before she screamed and grabbed the quilt to cover herself, the man swept her up in his arms and rolled over, taking the initiative and pinning her beneath him, reversing their positions entirely.

His well-articulated, slightly rough fingertips gently brushed the locks of hair at her temple, coaxing her patiently just like when he used to tutor her in schoolwork, gentle yet unyielding with a majesty that brooked no dissent.

“Little Sheng Sheng, I gave you a chance last night; you were the one who insisted on provoking me.”

He spoke in total earnest, sounding entirely serious.

Xu Nansheng gripped the edge of the quilt tight, pulling her face inside so that only a pair of pure, snow-like almond eyes remained, brimming with a watery mist.

“Uncle, I drank too much last night, which is why I mistook the person. I know I was wrong. Please forgive me this once, okay? I promise that last night’s events will remain between heaven, earth, you, and me, and I will never let a third person find out!”

The corners of the man’s upturned lips instantly dropped, his expression turning gloomy.

“No.”

“Then… mmph!”

Xu Nansheng wanted to negotiate further, but her mouth was covered by the man’s hand.

“Last night was your first time, and it was my first time too.”

Xu Nansheng blinked her eyes. “Mm.”

“Once you taste the marrow, you crave more.”

Her bright almond eyes remained unmoving, failing to quite understand what her uncle meant by those words.

The next second, the man leaned down, breathing hot air against her ear.

His magnetic voice carried a magical charm, sending a wave of electric tingling through her ear canal that sparked sudden numbness.

“I can’t hear a single word right now.”

Before Xu Nansheng could ask anything more, the man abruptly pulled back the quilt and dove right underneath.

“Little Sheng Sheng.”

Gu Beiyan leaned down, pressing down the restless urges in his heart, speaking with tender affection at the corner of her lips.

“Say my name.”

“Sheng Sheng, say my name, won’t you?”

Xu Nansheng was suspended mid-air, tortured to the point of near-death by the feeling of being neither up nor down, her heart itching with an unbearable craving.

She no longer possessed any capacity to think; if he wanted her to call his name, she would call it, so long as he stopped torturing her.

“Gu Beiyan.”

“Gu Beiyan, stop torturing me.”

“I beg you.”

The man seemed to receive immense encouragement as the gentle breeze and drizzle instantly transformed into a fierce storm, a pear tree battered by the tempest swaying precariously.

Ultimately unable to withstand the storm’s devastation, the blossoms drifted down to the ground.

Yet the wind and rain refused to stop there, growing even more violent and tearing through everything with a destructive force that left Xu Nansheng feeling as though she were about to fall apart.

She had not a shred of strength left to resist.

Lying in the bathtub, she let Gu Beiyan meticulously wash her body as if she were a precious treasure.

Turning her head away weakly, she looked at the familiar yet unfamiliar face before her, her voice already hoarse beyond recognition when she finally spoke.

“Uncle, can we talk now?”
