Jiang Han was still in the Heavenly Fox Mountain Range, though he was not deep within it, but rather on the Fifth Peak.

Possessing the Burrowing Technique divine ability, the mountains were the safest place for him. Having slaughtered nineteen people in a single day, he knew he had stirred up a massive storm.

Setting aside the other clans, the Jiang Clan would certainly not let him off. What awaited him next would inevitably be the pursuit of Profound Nether Realm experts.Full novel: Martial Starbreaker — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

The human body possessed nine great Secret Caches. Opening an additional Secret Cache multiplied one’s combat strength. Reaching the Profound Nether Realm meant opening the second Secret Cache, creating a difference as vast as heaven and earth when compared to the Purple Mansion Realm.

Furthermore, nearly all Profound Nether Realm cultivators would Awaken a divine ability; the only difference lay in its strength.

Even the weakest divine ability was still a divine ability. When paired with the combat strength of the Profound Nether Realm, it posed a catastrophic threat to Jiang Han, who was only in the Purple Mansion Realm.

Therefore, Jiang Han planned to stay hidden in the mountains for a few more days to see how the situation unfolded. Additionally, he needed to find a way to rescue Jiang Li. She was undoubtedly under heavy guard, making it as difficult as scaling the heavens to spirit her away unnoticed.

Inside a cavern on the Fifth Peak, he tunneled several dozen meters deep into the earth. He set up some early warning mechanisms at the cave entrance so he would immediately notice if anyone intruded.

Jiang Han was currently cultivating. Having slain nineteen people, he had casually collected some spoils of war, yielding over twenty bottles of Pills. Other Purple Mansion Realm cultivators were not as destitute as he was; nearly everyone carried a few Pills on them.

After refining two full bottles of Pills in a single breath, Jiang Han finally fell into a deep sleep.

When dawn broke, he emerged from the tunnel. He hadn’t eaten a proper meal in days and was already ravenously hungry.

A heavy fog had rolled into the mountains, dropping visibility to an extreme low.

Jiang Han swept his gaze around, his expression turning grave. These conditions made it all too easy to be ambushed.

He maintained high alert as he foraged. The Demon Beasts on this peak had essentially been cleared out the day before. After wandering for a bit, he only managed to find two types of edible wild fruit.

Just as Jiang Han was eating the fruit, the sudden sound of footsteps echoed nearby. Jiang Han immediately drew the war blade from his back, lowering his stance, ready to use the Burrowing Technique to flee at a moment’s notice.

A Demon Beast?

Within the dense white fog, a massive figure gradually revealed itself. It was a giant white tiger, a full ten feet long. After a single glance, Jiang Han’s expression changed drastically. A dark golden light lit up in his hand as he prepared to plunge into the earth.

This Demon Beast was enormous, and its beastly Pressure was terrifying. It was clearly a second-rank Demon Beast, an existence equivalent to the Profound Nether Realm. He was absolutely no match for it.

Wait… something’s not right!

Jiang Han’s face suddenly flashed with surprise, his pupils slightly shrinking. There was actually a person on the back of that giant white tiger-and a pretty young girl at that?

“Hey!”

The girl on the white tiger’s back spotted Jiang Han and called out excitedly from a distance, “Little Brother, don’t run! Don’t be afraid, Little Whitey doesn’t hurt people!”

Little Brother? Little Whitey?

Dark lines formed on Jiang Han’s forehead. This girl looked younger than him, yet she was calling him Little Brother? Furthermore, this massive Demon Beast was a second-rank creature. What was this girl’s background, to be able to tame a second-rank Demon Beast as a mount?

Her tone was friendly, so Jiang Han slightly lowered his guard. However, the dark golden light in his hand continued to glow, keeping him ready to flee at any second.

The girl wore a pink pleated dress. Her facial features were exquisite, making her look like a porcelain doll. Unfortunately, her chest was entirely flat-flatter even than Jiang Han’s. It seemed she had not yet reached the age of maturity.

The girl steered the giant white tiger closer at a slow pace, stopping about ten feet away from Jiang Han. The beastly Pressure radiating from it made it somewhat difficult for him to breathe.

“Little Brother!”

The girl gripped a small tuft of white mane on the tiger’s head with both hands. She grinned, revealing two cute little canine teeth, and looked at Jiang Han. “Where exactly is this place? Do you know?”

Jiang Han blinked, thinking to himself that this pretty girl was indeed not from any of the nearby villages. “This is Blackhead Peak,” he replied. Read this novel at novelping . com for the best experience.

“Blackhead Peak?”

A ring on the girl’s finger flashed with light, and a map instantly appeared in her hand. Jiang Han stared at it, his face filled with astonishment.

Could that ring be a legendary spatial ring? A high-grade Profound Artifact containing its own internal space, capable of storing physical objects? He had heard that such items were outrageously expensive. In the entire Jiang Clan, only a few Elders and the Clan Leader were qualified to possess one.

“Blackhead Peak… this isn’t far from Du Family Town. Half a month… this young lady has finally made it out!”

The girl scanned the map a few times. The ring flashed again, and the map in her hand vanished. She patted the white tiger, which immediately bypassed Jiang Han and bounded down the mountain.

“Thanks, Little Brother! See you around if fate allows it.”

Jiang Han curled his lip, feeling very awkward being called “Little Brother” by a girl. He stood in place for a moment in thought before turning and heading deeper into the mountains.

…

Jiang Han’s choice was entirely correct!

About half an hour after he left, a massive group of people swarmed up the mountain.

Jiang Xiaotian had personally taken the field. He brought thirty members of the hunting patrol and forty ordinary clansmen, though even these ordinary clansmen possessed at least the combat strength of the fifth level of the Purple Mansion Realm.

Jiang Xiaotian divided these seventy men into seven groups of ten and initiated a sweeping search.

It had to be said that Jiang Xiaotian’s strategy was highly effective. With ten men to a group, even if Jiang Han managed to ambush and kill four or five, he certainly couldn’t kill all ten. Jiang Xiaotian was confident that the moment he found Jiang Han, he could kill him in a single move!

“Search! Search carefully!”

Jiang Xiaotian ordered in a deep voice, “If you find Jiang Han, do not make a move. Immediately fire a signal flare. Pay close attention to any underground tunnels, and report any entrances at once. Does he think he can rest easy just because he can burrow into the dirt? Even if he can fly to the heavens or sink into the earth, I will cut him down today!”
