Mo Guilan trusted her own eyes.

She had clearly seen the strangely dressed man board the ship just moments ago.

There was no way she had imagined it.

As someone who firmly believed in science, she was certain she hadn’t witnessed anything supernatural.

Then why couldn’t anyone else see him?

There could only be one explanation.

The man and the ticket inspectors knew each other.

They had to be playing some sort of prank on her.

As for his bizarre outfit—that was easy to explain.

He must have dressed that way because he already knew who she was and wanted to catch her attention.

“Hmph…

How childish.

This young lady already has Feihong!”

After convincing herself of this explanation, Mo Guilan snorted smugly.

She boarded the ship, found her assigned seat, and settled in.

It was a small passenger vessel.

Whether in size or comfort, it couldn’t compare to the massive ocean liners of the era.

The ship was divided into four sections:

Passenger seating.Dining area.Crew quarters.The bridge.

Despite its modest size, the fare was every bit as expensive as that of larger luxury liners.

The reason was simple—

It was fast.

Much like the high-speed railways of the twenty-first century, an ordinary passenger ship needed one to one and a half months to reach China.

This vessel required only half a month.

Looking around, she couldn’t find the strange man anywhere.

That only strengthened her earlier conclusion.

He must be one of the ship’s crew.

If he dares bother me during the voyage, I’ll teach him a lesson.

I may not know Feihong’s legendary Shadowless Kick, but I do know a bit of grappling.

Ah…

only another half month until I can see Feihong again.

I wonder how he’s been…

Lost in her thoughts, Mo Guilan watched as passengers gradually boarded the ship in small groups before taking their seats.

Ten minutes later, a bald, heavily tattooed man entered the cabin.

He scanned the room once before turning and leaving.

Moments later, the ship’s engines roared to life.

The vessel slowly pulled away from the dock.

Nearly eighty percent of the passengers aboard were Chinese.

As they felt the ship begin to move, smiles spread across their faces.

After spending so long away from home…

They were finally going back.

Hidden in the darkest corner of the cabin, Lucian stood motionless.

His white Assassin robes blended strangely well with the surrounding shadows.

The instant the tattooed bald man had entered earlier…

Lucian had sensed killing intent.

A possibility immediately crossed his mind.

Stepping silently from the darkness, he pulled his hood lower to conceal his face before wrapping his cloak tightly around himself and heading outside.

As he passed through the cabin…

The seated passengers behaved as though he didn’t exist.

Even Mo Guilan failed to notice him.

Once outside, Lucian activated—

Eagle Vision.

A wave of multicoloured light spread outward from beneath his feet.

Looking through the ship’s metal walls, he saw dozens of translucent white human silhouettes gathered directly ahead.

Among them…

One figure glowed yellow.

On the second deck, inside the crew’s work area, several more white silhouettes lay motionless on the floor.

Meanwhile, several crimson-red figures moved about the room.

Just as I thought.

Lucian frowned briefly before relaxing again.

The ship had been hijacked.

The red silhouettes represented the hijackers.

Because they had become directly connected to him, Eagle Vision distinguished them with a different colour.

The white silhouettes were ordinary people who had no connection to him whatsoever.

As for the yellow figure…

Even Lucian felt puzzled.

Inside the games, yellow always represented a mission objective.

But now he had returned to Earth.

Why would a mission marker still appear?

He had already reached the absolute pinnacle within the Assassin’s Creed world.

Every skill…

Every Piece of Eden…

Every legendary artifact…

He had collected them all.

Even if he completed another mission now…

What reward could possibly remain?

Although the question lingered in his mind…

There was a more pressing matter to deal with first.

Without another thought, Lucian leapt upward.

His hand caught the railing of the second deck.

With a single pull, he landed silently on the upper level.

Click.

A Hidden Blade sprang from beneath his wrist.

The blade measured barely one centimetre wide and ten centimetres long.

Bathed in the moonlight, its razor-sharp edge shimmered with a chilling silver glow.

Its needle-like point was so fine that it looked capable of piercing anything.

Staring at the Hidden Blade, a cold killing intent flashed through Lucian’s eyes.

Then he rose to his feet and walked directly toward the room where the hijackers were gathered.

Against a handful of ordinary men with no real combat ability…

There was no need for stealth.

Bang!

The cabin door exploded inward beneath a single kick.

Inside, the hijackers froze in astonishment as they stared at the intruder.

Lucian walked calmly into the room.

His arms hung loosely at his sides.

“You—!”

The nearest man had barely uttered a single word before Lucian’s hand shot forward and seized him by the throat.

Shhk.

A faint slicing sound echoed through the room.

Lucian released his grip.

The man staggered backward, clutching desperately at his neck.

Blood poured through the gaps between his fingers.

A second later…

He collapsed.

His body twitched once before falling completely still.

Dead.

Seeing their companion killed in an instant, terror flashed across the remaining hijackers’ faces.

It was quickly replaced by fury.

“Kill him!”

The tattooed bald man roared at his companions.

Before they could charge…

Lucian moved first.

His Hidden Blades flashed simultaneously.

Slash!

The two men in front never even had the chance to scream.

Both collapsed lifelessly to the floor.

Only two hijackers remained.

The bald man reached into his coat and pulled out a pistol.

He aimed directly at Lucian.

Bang!

The gun fired.

Lucian merely shifted his body slightly.

The bullet missed him completely.

The bald man stared in horror.

He…

Had dodged a bullet.

The remaining hijacker’s legs gave way beneath him as he crashed onto the floor in terror.

“N-No…!”

“D-Don’t come any closer!”

“AAAHHH!!”

The bald man’s final scream echoed through the cabin…

…before everything fell silent.
