When he first began his campaign, the outside world didn’t know that he was the killer.

People could only judge from the number of enemies left dead and the bullet-riddled scenes that the culprit had to be an entire army.

In the end, the enemy turned out to be only one man.

The Punisher was so familiar with firearms that, when fully equipped, a single person could rival an entire army.

And now, someone else was displaying this kind of ability.

Moreover, unlike the Punisher, who used heavy firepower, this man was only carrying two pistols.

“An ordinary pistol—no, even a rifle—couldn’t maintain that rate of fire.

The heat alone would melt the barrel.”

Fury watched the man weaving through the crowd, firing back and forth.

Flaming bullets sprayed in every direction without leaving a blind spot, striking every enemy.

His expression grew solemn.

“Is this his personal ability, a function of the weapons themselves, or a combination of both?”

“I don’t know, but this guy is ridiculously strong!”

After Hill finished speaking, the battle in the footage had already ended.

The entire process had taken less than three minutes.

Considering the number of enemies, even assuming that every shot had hit its target, that man had fired more than six hundred rounds in less than three minutes.

If he had been using something like a Gatling gun, it wouldn’t have been particularly strange.

But he was using pistols.

That was simply unimaginable.

“Putting aside his rate of fire, his physical skills are also extremely impressive.”

Fury pondered.

“Surrounded by hundreds of people, he could easily evade bullets and close-range attacks from every direction while seamlessly counterattacking.”

“Every shot accurately avoided the vital points…”

“Setting aside whether his firepower comes from his own abilities or his weapons, his physical skills and accuracy alone are enough to qualify him as a super soldier.”

“That’s right.”

Hill nodded in agreement.

“His offensive momentum is too fierce.

Even watching the footage, you can feel an almost suffocating sense of pressure.”

Fury stared intently at the man on the screen.

“This man is definitely no weaker than the young man we saw earlier.”

“He may even surpass him in sheer presence.”

“The Vongola Family is far stronger than we initially imagined.”

At this moment, the footage changed again.

As the police arrived, the members of the Vongola Family withdrew in an orderly fashion.

The illusionist youth, who was responsible for covering their retreat, raised his hand and summoned an enormous, all-encompassing fog, turning the entire street into a place where one couldn’t even see their own hand in front of their face.

Fury and Hill weren’t particularly surprised by this scene.

After all, they had already witnessed his abilities earlier.

“Whew…”

Fury took a deep breath.

“Where are the Vongola Family members now?

Have we found out what they’re planning?”

“They’ve occupied an abandoned church in District 10 and are currently renovating it.

It seems they intend to use it as their headquarters.”

“As for their objective…”

Hill hesitated before continuing.

“According to the information we obtained from the Savage Gang, the Gunfire Negotiators, and the Viper Gang, their goal is to become the emperor of the criminal underworld.”

“That’s it?”

Fury looked at Hill in surprise.

Hill nodded.

“That’s what we’ve found.

But it’s also possible that the Vongola Family deliberately released this information as a smokescreen.”

“Send more people.”

“Keep a close watch on the Vongola Family’s movements.

Find out what their true objective is, and where they came from.”

“Yes!”

After receiving her orders, Hill left the office.

Fury slumped back into his chair and let out a deep sigh.

With so many powerful supernatural individuals within the Vongola Family, there was no way their goal was simply to become the emperor of the criminal underworld.

Because for them, something like that would be ridiculously easy.

Think about it.

Would anyone really make something a goal when they could accomplish it effortlessly?

No.

At most, they would simply accomplish it along the way.

Thinking about this, Fury couldn’t help but sigh again.

He took out the quantum communicator Carol had left behind when she departed Earth.

He stared at it for a long time before putting it away again.

Although the situation had become extremely bad, it had not yet reached the point of being completely out of control.

It was still too early to use this thing.

But they absolutely had to be prepared for the possibility that the situation might spiral out of control.

“The Avengers Initiative needs to be accelerated!”

…

Otto was dealing with corpses for the first time.

Yet, as if he had an innate talent for it, he seemed to know exactly what to do without anyone teaching him.

The entire process was even remarkably efficient.

He used earth magic to dig a pit and bury the bodies.

Then, using his Word Magic, he summoned a large number of carrion-eating creatures that lived underground to devour them.

And that was it.

Throughout the entire process, his mind remained as calm as a still lake.

Not the slightest ripple appeared in his emotions.

“Now I just need to wash the blood off myself.”

Otto glanced at the blood on his sleeves and hands and prepared to return inside to clean himself up.

“Hey!

You killed someone, didn’t you?”

Hearing the voice behind him, Otto stopped.

“There’s a strong smell of blood underground.

You didn’t just kill one person, did you?”

The voice rang out again, filled with anger.

Otto turned around and saw the owner of the voice.

It was a man wearing a red bodysuit that even covered the upper half of his head.

“I didn’t kill anyone.”

Otto took out a white silk handkerchief and calmly wiped the blood from his hands.

“I’m only dealing with the corpses.”

“Then you’re an accomplice?”

The masked man phrased it as a question, but his tone was completely certain.

He slowly walked toward Otto.

“I’ll capture you first, then force you to tell me who the killer is!”

“I’m sorry, but I still have to work for my Boss.

I can’t let you capture me.”

“You don’t get a choice!”

After leaving those words behind, the man suddenly charged.

In an instant, he crossed the three-meter distance between them.

His right hand was already raised into a tight fist, about to smash into Otto’s face.

Yet Otto seemed not to have reacted at all.

He simply stood there calmly.

Just as the fist was about to connect, a large, muscular stray dog suddenly lunged from the side and slammed into the man, knocking him heavily to the ground.

“Woof!

Woof!!”

The stray dog barked fiercely and opened its jaws, attempting to bite the man’s neck.

But the man kicked it away.

The man quickly got back to his feet and instinctively moved to pursue Otto.

But the moment he stood up, he froze.

A group of stray dogs and cats had surrounded him, completely blocking his path.

Their fur was standing on end as they bared their teeth and growled menacingly at him.

“You’re Daredevil, aren’t you?”

Otto looked at him calmly.

“I read about you in the newspaper last night.”

“It said you’re a hero who fights criminals and upholds justice.”

“You’re controlling these cats and dogs?”

Daredevil ignored Otto’s statement and instead asked his own question.

No.

It wasn’t really a question.

The situation was already obvious at a glance.

Daredevil was merely confirming his suspicion.

If this man could control cats, dogs, and even other animals, then he wasn’t an ordinary criminal cleaning up a crime scene.

He was a super-criminal.

“I promised to provide them with food for a week in exchange for their temporary loyalty.”

After answering Daredevil’s question, Otto noticed the look of shock on his face.

He couldn’t help but shake his head lightly.

“There’s no need to make such a big deal out of this.”

“I’m not your enemy.”

“These people broke in fully armed and tried to kill us.”

“In the end, my Boss killed them instead.”

“We were acting in self-defense.”
