Both groups had mentioned the word “sir” in their conversations.

Combined with the military-style language they used when reporting their missions, it wasn’t difficult to deduce that they belonged to militarized organizations.

And within the United States, there were many such organizations.Full novel: Marvel : Behind The Scenes — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Putting aside official agencies, many private security companies also recruited recently retired soldiers and operated under military-style management.

However, security companies generally only handled security matters.

They wouldn’t normally conduct surveillance, much less assassinations.

Therefore, these two groups had to belong to official military organizations.

Were they the FBI?

The CIA?

Or perhaps the military itself?

Moreover, if both were official organizations, why was one attempting to assassinate the target while the other had chosen to monitor and protect him?

Were the two departments in disagreement and acting independently?

And what exactly had that Boss done to warrant surveillance and assassination attempts from two official military organizations?

“No.”

Matt rubbed his temples gently, easing the headache caused by his intense thinking.

“My line of reasoning was wrong from the very beginning.”

After a moment, when his headache had eased somewhat, he continued thinking.

“If they’re official organizations, why would they resort to assassination within their own country?”

“Shouldn’t they issue an arrest warrant and simply come to arrest him?”

“These two organizations have something wrong with them!”

Matt looked up in the direction where the two organizations were conducting surveillance.

After hesitating for a moment, he leaped across the rooftops and headed toward the organization that had launched the assassination attempt.

The organization conducting surveillance was preparing to make contact with him, so there was no need to worry about them escaping.

The organization that had attempted the assassination was another matter.

If he didn’t investigate them and figure things out now, the trail would go cold.

…

Meanwhile.

While Daredevil was investigating the mysteries surrounding the jack-of-all-trades shop, the sudden appearance of the Vongola Family and their takeover of Harlem’s criminal underworld began to produce further consequences.

S.H.I.E.L.D., the FBI, the CIA, and the military all received information about what had happened.

One after another, they began taking various actions against the Vongola Family.

Soon afterward, the gangs of Hell’s Kitchen also received the news.

At the Midtown United Company boardroom…

“Gentlemen, I’m sure you’ve all heard that the gangs of Harlem have been unified.”

Kingpin swept his gaze across the gathered crime bosses.

Seeing that each of them remained calm and composed, he continued.

“This Vongola Family.

Have any of you heard of them before?”

“No.”

“Never heard of them.”

“My operations are all in Hell’s Kitchen.

I don’t know much about what’s happening over there.”

“Could they be people from the Viper Gang?”

The various crime bosses began discussing the matter among themselves.

None of them had ever heard the name Vongola Family.

Kingpin was somewhat puzzled.

Although Harlem’s crime rate wasn’t as high as Hell’s Kitchen, the area was even more chaotic.

It was practically a lawless place.

Kingpin had made several attempts to take control of the gangs there and establish order, but all of them had ultimately failed.

The Vongola Family had managed to seize control of Harlem with astonishing speed.

That alone was enough to demonstrate how powerful they were.

But why had no one heard of them before?

The reason was that, because of the supernatural powers displayed by the Vongola Family, both S.H.I.E.L.D.

and the U.S.

government had chosen to suppress information about them.

As a result, Kingpin was unable to obtain any detailed information.

But his sharp instincts still sensed that something about this matter was unusual.

“Knock, knock!”

Madame Gao tapped her cane against the floor.

The discussion immediately stopped, and everyone looked toward her.

Seeing this, Madame Gao said:

“There’s no point discussing where the Vongola Family came from.”

“Since they’ve already taken control of the gangs in Harlem, we have no choice but to send someone to establish contact with them and discuss business.”

“Madame Gao is right.”

The Japanese gang leader Shin agreed.

“As long as the plan proceeds smoothly, it doesn’t matter who we cooperate with.”

“So there’s no need to worry about where the Vongola Family came from.”

If only things were that simple.

If the Vongola Family had specifically come to interfere with their plan, rashly contacting them would only expose their own weaknesses.

But since the highly respected Madame Gao had already said this, Kingpin couldn’t say much more.

He simply gave her a meaningful look before issuing an order.

“Very well.

Send someone to contact them.”

…

The outside world was becoming increasingly turbulent.

Various factions were already making their moves.

Through the increase in Wish Points, combined with the information he remembered from the movies and television shows of his previous life, Leon could roughly understand what was happening.

But he wasn’t particularly concerned.

After all, learning about something through a screen or rumors was nothing like experiencing it firsthand.

The details were far less clear, and the emotional impact was much weaker.

Naturally, it also generated very few Wish Points.

Ordinary people already provided pitifully few Wish Points.

For people who only learned about events through various forms of media, the amount was practically negligible.

So Leon naturally had no interest in such things.

Otherwise, he would have already started a global livestream teaching Sun Breathing.

At this moment, he had just finished shopping and was enjoying lunch at a high-end restaurant.

“I didn’t expect to run into you here, Leon!”

Leon looked toward the voice.

A man was walking over while holding two women in his arms, both of whom looked like fashion models.

Leon frowned slightly but paid him no attention.

The man stopped in front of Leon with a smile.

“Even though we didn’t exactly get along well in the past, we’re still acquaintances.”

“Are you really not going to say hello?”

Leon gave a faint smile.

While continuing to eat, he casually said:

“What’s the point of greeting someone who’s about to die?”

The smile on the man’s face froze.

But it quickly returned.

“I have no idea what you’re talking about.”

“The symptoms you’re showing…”

Leon looked up at him, then hesitated.

“Forget it.

If you don’t want to talk about it, then never mind.”

“I was actually going to introduce you to a doctor who could solve your problem.”

“Wait!”

The man called out.

He then looked toward the two women.

“I have something to take care of.

Go order first.”

“Okay!”

The two women obediently left.

The man sat down in the empty seat opposite Leon.

“Alright.

Now you have what you wanted.”

“A chance to sit face-to-face and have a private conversation with Tony Stark.”

Leon raised an eyebrow and smiled.

“I’ve been watching the news lately.”

“You’ve been partying and picking up women even more than usual.”

“I thought you’d changed.”

“But I see that your obnoxious attitude hasn’t changed at all.”

“If a person changes, are they still themselves?”

“Are you trying to discuss philosophy with me?”

“Although philosophy isn’t exactly my specialty, if you want to discuss it…”

Leon was about to get up and leave.

“Alright, forget it.”

Tony immediately stopped wasting time and got straight to the point.

“What did you mean by what you just said?”

Leon gave a faint smile and sat back down.

“You put on makeup, but you still can’t hide it from my eyes.”

“You’ve been poisoned, haven’t you?”

“…That’s right.”

Tony hesitated for a moment before finally answering honestly.

“I’ve tried everything I can think of, but nothing can solve the problem.”

“All I can do is slow down the spread of the poison.”

“I know a doctor who can cure you.”

“Who?”

Tony looked at him with anticipation.

Deep down, he didn’t believe that someone else could solve a problem that even he couldn’t.

But when his life was at stake, he was still willing to give it a try.

“Twenty million.”
