The next morning, at Midtown School of Science and Technology.

Peter Parker walked into the classroom with his backpack on, still hugging *Reborn in World War II, I Became Captain America’s Comrade* to his chest.

He had read it all over again last night, and the more he read, the more he loved it.Full novel: Marvel, DC, and anime? I’ve got them all — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

“Good morning, Peter.” Gwen Stacy turned around from the front row, her blonde ponytail shining in the sunlight.

Peter’s face instantly turned red.

“Good… good morning, Gwen. (≧?≦)ゞ”

Harry Osborn walked in through the back door and saw Peter holding a book.

“Peter, what are you reading now? It’s not some boring science journal again, is it?”

“No.” Peter quickly shook his head.

“It’s a novel, and it’s super good!”

Gwen leaned in curiously.

“What novel? Let me see.”

Peter’s hands shook with nerves.

Gwen was actually talking to him on her own!

He hurriedly handed the book over.

“It… it’s a transmigration novel, where the main character fights alongside Captain America.”

“Captain America?” Gwen took the book and looked at the cover.

“*Reborn in World War II, I Became Captain America’s Comrade*? That title is pretty blunt.”

Harry leaned over too.

“Sounds interesting though. Peter, where did you buy it?”

“I saw it yesterday at Uncle Jack’s bookstore, it’s a newly published book.” Peter scratched his head.

“I think it’s really well written, and the main character John Smith’s experiences are fantastic.”

Gwen opened to the first page and started reading.

“My name is John Smith, an ordinary military enthusiast… wow, this opening is really gripping.”

“Right? Right!” Peter said excitedly.

“And the author’s portrayal of Captain America is spot on, like he actually knew Steve Rogers.”

Harry reached out for the book.

“Let me see it too.”

Gwen reluctantly handed the book to Harry.

“I haven’t finished yet.”

“Then let’s take turns,” Harry suggested.

“It’s not like class has started yet.”

The three of them gathered around the book and took turns reading.

When Gwen read about the protagonist’s confusion and excitement upon arriving in 1942, she couldn’t help laughing softly.

When Harry read the scene of John and Steve’s first meeting, he nodded again and again in agreement.

“This John is pretty smart,” Harry commented.

“Knowing Steve’s future but not being able to say it outright, that must feel awful.”

“I think John’s character is great,” Gwen said.

“He doesn’t steal Steve’s spotlight, and chooses to be a quietly supportive friend instead.”

Hearing Gwen’s praise, Peter felt delighted inside, as if he were the one being complimented.

Flash Thompson, sitting nearby, heard their conversation and poked his head over curiously.

“What book are you guys talking about? It’s so lively over here.”

“A super awesome novel!” Peter, for once, sounded confident in front of Flash.

“A transmigration story about Captain America.”

“Captain America?” Flash’s eyes lit up.

“He’s my favorite! Can I borrow it?”

Harry was deep in the reading and didn’t want to let go.

“Wait until I finish this chapter.”

“What book is this good?”

“Is it a new release?”

“I want to read it too!”

A small circle gradually formed in the classroom, and everyone was getting very interested in this mysterious novel.

“Don’t rush, everyone, we can pass it around,” Gwen suggested.

“Each person reads one chapter, then passes it to the next.”

“Good idea!” the classmates all agreed.

And so *Reborn in World War II, I Became Captain America’s Comrade* began circulating through the classroom at Midtown High.

Every student who got the book was deeply drawn in.

Some gasped softly at the exciting parts, and some clenched their fists during the tense scenes.

“Oh my God, John actually has mutant powers!” a girl whispered excitedly.

“And his ability setup is reasonable, not so strong that it breaks the balance,” another boy said, nodding.

“My favorite part is his friendship with Steve, it’s really touching.”

“The author’s descriptions of World War II history are very detailed too, like he lived through it himself.”

All morning long, the book kept being passed around the classroom.

Even the students who normally hated reading were hooked, lining up to wait for their turn.

“What kind of magic does this book have?” The math teacher walked into the classroom and saw the students gathered around something.

“What is everyone looking at?”

“Teacher, it’s a really good novel!” a student said, holding up the book.

“It’s about Captain America.”

The math teacher took the book and looked at it.

“*Reborn in World War II, I Became Captain America’s Comrade*? Sounds interesting. But it’s class time now, you can read after class.”

“Yes, teacher.” The students reluctantly put the book away, but their eyes kept drifting toward its direction.

The moment the bell rang for the end of class, the students crowded around again.

“Peter, where can I buy this book?” Gwen asked.

“Right at Jack’s Bookstore on Fifth Avenue,” Peter answered.

“It’s eighteen dollars a copy.”

“Eighteen dollars?” Harry took out his wallet.

“I’m going to buy it right now!”

“I’m going too!” Gwen stood up as well.

“Wait for me!” other classmates chimed in.

Soon, more than half the class had decided to buy the book.

They went off in twos and threes, hurrying excitedly toward the bookstore.

Meanwhile, Wos was at home, bored, flipping through yesterday’s newspaper.

“Still no news about my book at all,” Wos sighed.

“Looks like promoting a new book is really hard.”

Tom lay on the windowsill sunbathing, and Jerry was fiddling with a little toy on the table.

Aqua sat on the sofa studying a fashion magazine, her eyes glowing as she looked at the beautiful women’s clothes inside (?′?`?).

“Heh heh~ These clothes are so pretty~” Aqua said, drooling over the magazine and wiping her mouth.

“Aqua, could you not stare at it with that lecherous look? It’s giving me goosebumps.”

“Why don’t we go check the bookstore again? Maybe someone will buy it today,” Wos said, feeling uncomfortable and pretending to bring it up casually.

“Again?” Aqua looked up.

“We already went yesterday, and that little boy bought one, that should be enough.”

“How could one be enough?” Wos stood up.

“I’m planning to sell ten thousand copies! ̄へ ̄”

Tom jumped down from the windowsill and patted Wos’s leg, signaling him not to be too anxious.

“I know, but I just can’t help wanting to go see,” Wos said, putting on his coat.

“What if someone really buys it?”

From a distance, Wos saw a crowd gathered at the entrance of the bookstore.

“Huh, why is the bookstore so busy today?” Aqua walked closer curiously.

Over a dozen young people who looked like high schoolers were lining up to enter the bookstore, and every one of them wore an excited expression.

“They’re all young people,” Aqua observed.

“They look like students.”

Wos quietly moved closer, wanting to hear what they were saying.

“Are you sure this book is really that good?” a female student asked.

“Of course! Peter never recommends bad books,” another male student answered.

“And Gwen and Harry both said it’s good.”

“I can’t wait to see the part where Captain America gets stronger!”

“I want to know just how powerful John’s mutant ability is!”

Listening to these conversations, Wos’s heart began to pound.

Could they be talking about his book?

“Tom, did you hear that?” Wos whispered excitedly.

“It sounds like they’re here to buy my book!”

Tom was excited too and pointed with his paw toward the inside of the bookstore, signaling Wos to look carefully.

Through the glass window, Wos saw Uncle Jack so busy he could hardly keep up, constantly taking books off the shelf and handing them to customers.

And the books in those customers’ hands were none other than *Reborn in World War II, I Became Captain America’s Comrade*!

“It’s really my book!” Wos was so excited he almost jumped.

“They’re really buying my book!”

Jerry poked his head out of Wos’s pocket, and seeing this scene, he excitedly waved his tiny paws too.

“Looks like your book is going to be a hit,” Aqua said, rarely offering praise.

“These young people all look like they love it.”

Wos counted the number of people in line, and there were at least twenty!

If each of them bought one copy, that would be twenty copies, and 360 dollars in royalties!

“I’m going to get rich!” Wos cheered wildly in his heart, but outwardly tried to stay as calm as he could so no one would notice him.

Just then, Peter appeared in the line too.

He looked a little embarrassed, since so many classmates were coming to buy the book because of his recommendation.

“Peter, are you sure this book is really worth eighteen dollars?” a classmate asked.

“Absolutely!” Peter said earnestly.

“I guarantee you won’t regret it after you read it.”

Looking at Peter, Wos was filled with gratitude.

Without this kind-hearted boy, his book could never have gained so many readers so quickly.

“Peter Parker, my first reader, and also my benefactor. Alright, I’ve decided, I will never let that tragic life of yours happen. I swear it!” Wos silently gave thanks in his heart.

Inside the bookstore, Uncle Jack was already overwhelmed.

“Sorry, everyone, we might be running out of books,” Uncle Jack said, wiping his sweat.

“I only ordered ten copies, and I never expected it to be this popular.”

“What? Out of stock?” the students cried out in disappointment.

“Uncle Jack, can you order more?” Peter asked anxiously.

“I’ll contact the publisher right away,” Uncle Jack said, hurriedly picking up the phone.

“We should be able to restock very soon.”

Listening to these conversations outside the door, Wos trembled all over with excitement.

Ten books, sold out in a single day!

And there were still so many people who wanted to buy it!

“My book is really going to be a hit!” Wos clenched his fist.

“This is only the beginning!”
