The Blood God Banner could also be called the Blood God Flag.

However, the word “flag” was usually reserved for military command and identity markers, primarily serving to forge a collective identity.

“Banner,” on the other hand, belonged to ritual sacrifice, esoteric rites, and matters of faith and the soul.Full novel: Marvel Demonic Cultivation: Farming Vampires as My Blood Slaves — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Legend had it that this item was created by a demonic ancestor of the Blood Fiend Demonic Sect—a master of mimicry who took inspiration after witnessing the Ancestral Court of Ten Thousand Demons command the starry heavens with star banners to lay down the Grand Array of Primordial Chaos.

Thus, when the Blood God Banner first emerged, it was already a top-tier Acquired Spiritual Treasure.

Later, that demonic ancestor passed down the secret technique for refining the banner.

Through generations of research and refinement by the Blood Fiend Demonic Sect, an entire series of Blood God Banners eventually came into existence.

And because the Blood God Banner possessed so many functions—gathering blood, controlling blood, nourishing blood, consecrating weapons, setting arrays, and more—it gradually became one of the signature treasures of the Path of the Blood God.

For Mark, spiritual treasures and magic treasures were still far beyond his reach.

The Blood God Banner he intended to refine now was merely the most basic version in the entire lineup.

Its core structure comprised just two main components: the pole and the cloth.

Between the pole and cloth, however, a spiritual cord was needed to bind them together.

The master would then refine a Blood God Corpuscle to embed within it, nurturing and tempering it daily so the banner could continuously grow.

If he were in the Yanfu World, there would be countless spiritual materials to choose from.

In the Marvel world, however, Mark had to give careful thought to his choice of materials.

First, spiritual materials were scarce, so it was best to refine the Blood God Banner as a single, unified whole.

Second, subsequent upgrades and tempering would require a steady supply of similar spiritual materials.

With these constraints in mind, Mark set his eyes on one particular specimen among his sparse materials: a werewolf.

This was a pure-silver, moon-attribute werewolf.

Not only was it massive—standing over three meters tall—it possessed exceptionally robust vital blood, bones as hard as steel, and hide and sinews that could be repurposed to perfection.

The flesh and blood would serve as nourishment to temper the materials.

The essence extracted from its bones would naturally form an excellent banner pole.

Its fur, smoothed out, would make the cloth.

Its tanned and refined sinews would serve as the binding spiritual cord.

Even the creature’s trace of moon-attribute Dao nature was ideal for housing a Yin-Fiend Blood God.

What made it even more perfect was what Mark had learned from the Umbrella Corporation’s files: werewolves in Europe, and across the global underworld, bred like rats.

They birthed litters at a time, ate anything, and possessed tenacious vitality.

They were virtually an inexhaustible resource.

Their only downside was that werewolves were bloodthirsty and volatile, making them difficult to farm in captivity.

Still, that wasn’t a major issue.

Once his own faction was established, he could simply train a few loyal subordinates, equip them with Asura Dao Soldiers, and form dedicated werewolf-hunting squads. You are reading on g.com, the official source.

A werewolf it was, then—there were no better options available anyway.

Having settled on his material, Mark hesitated no longer.

With a flick of his fingers, he gathered True Qi before him, condensing three hundred and sixty-five pure white needle rays.

Once the needle rays solidified, he used his mental energy to trace the Myriad Transformation Blood God Talisman onto each of them.

The Myriad Transformation Blood God Talisman was the foundational divine talisman of the Blood God Banner.

When all the needle rays turned a deep crimson, Mark gave a gentle wave of his hand, sending the three hundred and sixty-five crimson needles directly into the major acupoints across the silver werewolf’s body.

Acupoints were the repositories of a living being’s spirit and soul.

Sealing the needles within allowed its flesh, blood, and spirit to blend with its Dao nature, fusing completely into its hide, sinews, and bones.

This elevated the grade of the raw material itself, creating a perfect resonance.

To the naked eye, the silver werewolf began to rapidly shrivel.

Its flesh and muscle withered away, yet its fur grew increasingly silver, lustrous, and supple.

By the time all of the werewolf’s flesh and blood were fully refined, naturally formed Myriad Transformation Blood God Talismans appeared as intricate patterns embedded within its hide, sinews, and bones.

With the basic material prep completed, Mark used his hand like a blade, carving and refining the materials with effortless, natural grace.

Meanwhile, as Mark refined the Blood God Banner…

In the apartment on B7…

Selene and Christine sat in the living room of Selene’s suite, each holding a glass of crimson liquor, their eyes glued to the surveillance monitor on the TV.

At first, Mark modifying the lab and refining spiritual ink hadn’t seemed like much.

Though his techniques appeared mystical to them, they somewhat resembled those of sorcerers, so they weren’t overly shocked.

However, when Mark began refining Tyrants and Lickers into Dao Soldiers, Selene and Christine completely forgot about their drinks.

Fortunately, constrained by the lab’s power supply, the refinement of the Dao Soldiers took time.

But before Selene and Christine could process what they were seeing, Mark moved straight into refining the Blood God Banner.

That method of using living beings as raw material to temper spiritual ingredients was downright chilling.

In truth, many of the experimental procedures conducted in the Hive laboratory were no better than Mark’s methods—some were even bloodier, crueler, and more gruesome.

At least those experiments had a semblance of scientific rationale.

The techniques Mark displayed, however, had crossed entirely out of the realm of science.

Christine was the first to set her glass down.

“Selene, tell me the truth…

is Mark a necromancer?

Or maybe… This chapter was copied from novelping.com without permission.

a lich?”

Whether a necromancer or a lich, both were genuine enemies of humanity.

No—more accurately, they were the enemies of all living things.

Selene and Christine both had their own channels and possessed fragments of knowledge regarding Earth’s ancient Era of Gods.

Many of those ancient texts mentioned the existence of necromancers and liches.

Whenever either appeared, it almost guaranteed the onset of an Undead Scourge.

Humans, vampires, even the gods themselves were within the hunting grounds of the undead.

Of course, vampires had it slightly better; as long as they swallowed their pride and accepted a slave contract, they could smoothly transition into the undead camp.

After all, modern vampires were vastly different from ancient bloodlines and could be counted among the undead themselves.

Yet in modern society, neither Selene nor Christine had any desire to see the world destroyed.

Collaborating with a necromancer or a lich was far too dangerous.

Hearing Christine’s question, Selene actually felt her own hair standing on end, but she forced herself to remain composed.

“Christine, don’t scare yourself.”

“I can feel an extraordinarily vibrant aura of life in Mark.”

“Especially the second time I saw him…

his aura was intoxicatingly alluring…”

Christine blinked, catching on suddenly.

“Selene…

do you want to drink his blood?”

“Of course…” Selene snapped back to reality and wiped the corner of her mouth.

“Of course not!”

“What I mean is, necromancers and liches are inherently undead creatures.

They have no emotions, no desires—they only gather death and destruction by instinct.”

“If I had to guess, this is likely a form of legendary Eastern magic.”

“You know Mark’s father was of Chinese descent.”

“And in the America of the last century, how could a Chinese man marry a prodigy of the Ashford family?”

“There’s only one truth: Mark’s father was a hidden supernatural being.”
