“This guy!

Did getting knocked unconscious make him stupid too?!”

Looking at Jones running out excitedly, Yale couldn’t help showing a hint of confusion on his face.Full novel: Marvel: I Have the Strongest Eyes — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

If guarding Tony Stark wasn’t a particularly good job, then there were some jobs that were even worse than watching Tony.

For example…

cleaning the cave…

clearing the ammunition stored outside in the open…

and so on.

Of course, jobs like these didn’t come up often, which was why Jones had been assigned to guard Tony Stark.

But…

even while guarding Tony, Jones had somehow managed to cause this kind of trouble.

After the warlord made a wasted trip and confirmed that Jones had simply passed out on his own and had nothing to do with Tony, he became furious and directly punished Jones by making him clean up the ammunition.

In fact, the ammunition outside only needed to be cleaned once a week.

The last cleaning had been four days ago…

which was before Jones traveled here, of course.

And the person responsible for cleaning it last time had also been Jones!

Walking quickly out of the cave, Jones felt a warm sensation spread through his eyes as the blazing sunlight illuminated his entire body.

The feeling was incredibly comfortable!

He instinctively raised his head and looked toward the sun in the sky.

Jones immediately felt his eyes become even more comfortable, as though the light and radiation surrounding his eyes were being directly absorbed.

He could clearly feel the changes taking place in his eyes.

They were constantly growing stronger!

“Superman took nearly thirty years to fully grow, but if I only want to gain combat power, it shouldn’t take that long!

Hopefully, by the time Tony finishes building the Iron Man armor, I’ll be strong enough to fight him!”

A thought flashed through Jones’s mind, and he suddenly froze.

Wait…

why was he letting Tony grow in the first place?

If he revealed right now that Tony was building the Iron Man armor, then he would have more time to grow stronger.

Wouldn’t that be better?!

“Jones!!!

You bastard, what are you standing there staring into space for?!

Hurry up and clean the ammunition!”

Just as Jones fell into thought, a furious roar suddenly reached his ears.

“Uh…” Jones froze for a moment and turned his gaze toward the source of the voice.

His mood immediately sank, and he shouted, “Yes, Boss, I understand!

I’ll do it right away!”

Walking quickly toward the place where the ammunition was stored, Jones suppressed the anger in his heart.

No!!

He couldn’t report Tony.

Even if he grew stronger, all he would have would be powerful eyes.

Without any protective equipment or other special abilities, all it would take was a single bullet to kill him.

Compared with the terrorists, Tony posed far less of a threat to him.

At least…

that was the case with Tony wearing his crude Iron Man armor!!

…

Holding a huge rag in his hand, Jones quickly wiped the dust off the ammunition.

Of course, unless necessary, Jones kept his head tilted toward the sky, and most of the time, his eyes were fixed straight at that enormous ball of fire.

Although Jones’s eyes could absorb the light and radiation from the yellow star as long as he was on Earth, there was still a huge difference between day and night, and between staring directly at the sun and not looking at it.

Jones didn’t have that much time to waste.

For him right now, every bit of growth was extremely important.

If he weren’t being held back by this damn job of cleaning ammunition, Jones would have loved to spend every second staring at that ball of fire.

Jones had said before that if all the ammunition at this base were used, it would probably be enough to destroy an entire district of New York.

There was some exaggeration in that statement, but there really was a huge amount of ammunition here, and cleaning it was a considerable amount of work.

Soon, an entire day passed.

As the sun slowly set, Jones let out a long breath.

His eyes were constantly growing stronger, but his body was still that of an ordinary human…

at most, he was simply a little stronger than average.

A full day of work had already left Jones panting heavily.

Even so, it couldn’t hide the joy in his heart.

Although the sun had already set and the sky was completely dark, the surroundings still looked as clear as daylight to Jones.

Everything was plainly visible!

“Just one day of absorbing light and radiation, and I’ve already gained night vision?!”

Jones muttered inwardly as he simultaneously turned his gaze toward the distance.

“My vision has also become much wider.

I can clearly see small stones three or four hundred meters away…

Kryptonians really are a blessed race!”

“But most importantly, it’s the heat vision!”

Pulling his gaze back from the distance, Jones looked directly at a stone beneath his feet.

“Come on, come on.

Let me see just how strong I am now!”

Muttering unconsciously, Jones slowly exhaled.

The next moment, Jones’s eyes instantly turned bright red.

Then, two orange-red beams shot out from his eyes.

The two beams intertwined in midair and merged into one, striking the stone Jones had targeted in the blink of an eye with a muffled “Bang!”
