Yet this still couldn’t change the fact that everyone was deep in a desperate situation.
Standing nearby, Doctor Strange wore a solemn expression, hands dancing rapidly as several magic chains accurately shot out, firmly wrapping around and imprisoning several heroes who were about to completely mutate, preventing them from losing control and hurting others.
Elsewhere on the battlefield, those warriors who had gone berserk, mutated by the unknown virus, were also brought under control with the help of other fighters.
At least for now, the situation was barely under control.
Strange turned his head to look at Peter, his tone carrying a bit of doubt: “When you snapped your fingers just now, didn’t you deliberately remove these viruses?”
Peter shook his head gently: “I am aware of the fatal danger of this virus, so when I made the wish just now, it was my highest priority to clear it.”
Hearing this, Strange’s expression sank, and the solemnity between his brows deepened a bit more.
He naturally believed Peter’s words; the other person had no need to lie to him about such matters.
After ruling out all wishful thinking and human error.
Then there was only one answer: this unknown virus truly was not a virus of this Universe, and perhaps not even a bizarre calamity existing in any reality dimension, but came from other higher and more remote dimensions!
For example…
the Dark Dimension!
Just now when he used magic to investigate, he faintly captured a trace of an extremely cryptic and easily overlooked special aura, very much like the aura of the Dark Dimension he had accidentally encountered back when he was studying magic in Kamar-Taj!
If that were the case, the problem would be huge!
“What do you say, should I snap my fingers again?” Peter raised his hand wearing the nano Infinity Gauntlet.
He found that his physique was indeed astonishing, and he had now completely mastered this six-stone gauntlet.
That snap of the fingers just now, which rewrote the rules of the entire Universe, caused him a negligible burden—merely a dense prickling pain, not even counting as a superficial injury.
In just this short while, he had completely recovered.
Of course, that was just talking.
The infinity stones governed all foundational rules of a single Universe, and every snap was a forced tampering and violent correction of the Universe’s underlying order.
Recklessly using authority and wantonly modifying the rules of the Universe—no one knew what terrifying chain backlash it would trigger.
The stability of the Marvel primary Universe was already extremely poor, with multiverse cracks frequently occurring and dimensional invasions constant.
In animations, there was the Spot who could travel around randomly, then the Green Goblin walking around everywhere with a shuttle, Miles Morales going to other Universes for school, the Inheritors hunting spider totems for a living, and so on.
Time and space travel in the Marvel multiverse system, once reaching a certain level, was like a paper-pasted window—breakable at a single poke, allowing anyone to wander in and out.
This thing looked prosperous and flourishing, but in reality, it was extremely fragile.
Even a slight carelessness could trigger dimensional collapse and Universe annihilation.
Wantonly abusing the power of the stones had a high probability of directly shattering the entire Universe.
Strange clearly had a similar thought; he shook his head: “Forget it, I felt a trace of the aura of the Dark Dimension on this thing. If it really is something from the Dark Dimension, the infinity stones indeed cannot cause too much impact on it.”
The last bit of wishful thinking in his heart completely fell through, and Strange’s mood plummeted to rock bottom, anxiety and agitation thoroughly enveloping his mind.
Peter hadn’t studied magic and couldn’t perceive any aura of the Dark Dimension, but his Spider-Sense was beating wildly, which already explained everything.
The early warning originating from the Web of Life and Destiny had never been so intense.
This meant that if the virus were allowed to continue spreading without interference, it wouldn’t be long before the entire Marvel primary Universe would be completely swallowed and reduced to extinction by this quantum virus derived from the Dark Dimension!
The situation had already reached the absolute extreme of danger.
With no time for excessive sentiment or anxiety, Peter immediately turned his head and gave instructions to the Iron Armor not far away that had been completely taken over by Friday: “Friday, monitor Mr. Stark’s physical state in real-time and report the latest data.”
Among the people present, Tony’s state was undoubtedly the most critical.
Even Natasha had at least been injected with serum; it was just that her serum wasn’t as exaggerated as Steve’s in terms of physical strength.
As for Tony and Scott, they were considered the only two mortals among those present, with the weakest resistance and the fastest onset. Find the original chapter at novelping.com.
Although Friday seemed like an artificial mental handicap compared to Jarvis, she still possessed basic recognition capabilities.
Moreover, Tony had long regarded Little Spider as his successor to cultivate, elevating Peter’s permissions within his system to a very high level—in Avengers: Endgame, from Little Spider’s resurrection to Iron Man’s death, they were always fighting, yet in Far From Home, Little Spider still obtained Iron Man’s legacy, indicating that Iron Man had set it up long ago.
The armor’s optical lenses flickered slightly, and Friday’s cold, mechanical electronic voice accurately broadcasted Tony’s physical data:
“Detected that Mr. Stark’s body temperature continues to soar abnormally, far exceeding the human body’s normal threshold. The high temperature continues to erode brain nerves, causing preliminary irreversible effects on brain function.”
“The unknown virus continues to strengthen the body’s muscle fibers, with comprehensive strength attributes temporarily increased by 25% to 30%.”
“The virus erosion process continues to accelerate. If allowed to develop, it will cause comprehensive and permanent damage to the body, nerves, and brain, ultimately leading to complete mutation, loss of control, and loss of all reason.”
Just listening to the description was enough to know how bad the situation was.
“What should we do?” Peter turned his head to look at Strange, hoping that this Sorcerer Supreme could give some good advice.
Strange, however, only gave a bitter smile and waved his hand: “I am out of ideas too. Although I can sense a trace of the aura of the Dark Dimension in it, I don’t know what it actually is at all. And I strongly suspect that there isn’t just stuff from the Dark Dimension in there.”
Peter narrowed his eyes.
He smelled a trace of a conspiracy.
“You, this Sorcerer Supreme, are too incompetent,” Peter complained, then he came to Tony’s side and ordered Friday to remove the faceplate of the MK85.
After Friday did as told, it immediately revealed Tony’s face, which was already covered in bulging veins.
“Let me go, I am the great Iron Man Tony Stark!” Tony let out a frantic roar.
Peter touched his chin: “It seems this thing is still different from the zombie virus; this thing actually looks more like it amplifies the desires in a person’s heart… Why does it feel a bit like Venom? Forget it, let’s just call it the demonized virus.”
Originally, he actually wanted to call this thing the mad dog virus, but after thinking about it, he decided against it.
Amidst his thoughts, Peter reached out and covered Tony with his Superman Field.
Under his delicate control, the Superman Field directly seeped into Tony’s body, charging toward these demonized viruses.
He wanted to try whether he could use his Superman Field to clear them out!
