Northern Alberta, Canada.
Sean was sprinting through a forest.
The birds he passed weren’t even startled.
He was eating a sandwich while running at a speed that ordinary people couldn’t possibly perceive, yet Sean looked completely relaxed.
A few days ago, he had decided that traveling around with luggage was simply too old-fashioned.
So he had come up with a great idea.
Pick a direction and run.
Whenever he encountered any kind of crime along the way, he would intervene.
Big or small, he had saved quite a few people.
However, because he traveled across such vast and scattered areas, not many people knew about this mysterious hero who appeared in the night.
He couldn’t really be called a hero, either.
Sean’s methods were far too brutal.
For minor crimes, he would tie the criminals up and leave the victims to hand them over to the police.
For more serious offenses, he would beat them up before sending them to the police.
Anyone who crossed his moral bottom line would be crippled.
And in the most serious cases, he would kill them with a single punch.
The people he saved secretly gave him a name:
“Law. ”
Sean felt that having a catchphrase would make him look cooler, so whenever he appeared to stop a crime, he would always declare:
“You are guilty. I will pass judgment on you!”
The criminals, meanwhile, called him the “Grim Reaper. ”
A reaper from Hell who had come to judge them. The rumor spread throughout the criminal underworld.
Unexpectedly, it caused many criminals to stop committing crimes.
Some even began turning their lives around.
Every night, Sean ran in the direction he had chosen while dealing with criminals along the way.
During the day, he would stop in whatever city or town he happened to pass through and enjoy himself.
He could fight crime and travel at the same time.
The lifestyle was enough to make other heroes want to spit blood.
Sean had run from the United States into Canada.
He had run across the sea, across deserts, through forests, and even leaped over mountains.
Things that ordinary people could never accomplish were nothing to him. Visit g.com for the full chapter.
Whoosh~ Honk-honk~
Sean ran out of the forest just as a dark-red “Optimus Prime” happened to drive past.
A mischievous smile appeared at the corner of Sean’s mouth.
He leaped onto the roof of the vehicle and sat down.
Then he pulled his phone out of his belt and started playing with it.
He even had a cup of soda in his hand.
Not a single sound escaped him.
The people inside the vehicle didn’t notice him at all.
“Optimus Prime” was traveling at a high speed.
Even Sean could hear the sound of the wind rushing past the vehicle.
But it had no effect on him whatsoever.
He continued looking at his phone and drinking his soda.
An Hour Later
“Optimus Prime” gradually slowed down before finally coming to a stop.Sean, who had fallen asleep on the roof out of boredom, immediately noticed.
He opened his eyes.
Whoosh!
His figure vanished from the roof.
A moment later, he casually walked out from behind the vehicle.
“Where is this? You said you were taking me to Laughlin. ”
“This is it. ”
A beautiful, big-eyed girl stepped out of the vehicle.
She wore a dark green coat, a purple scarf around her neck, and carried a battered large bag.
She was bundled up so tightly that almost no skin was exposed.
She looked around in confusion.
This didn’t look anything like the Laughlin she had wanted to go to.
But the overweight driver didn’t bother with her.
He locked the doors and drove away.
The big-eyed girl looked around helplessly, standing alone where she was.
With nothing better to do, Sean walked over.
The girl looked strangely familiar.
“Hey, beautiful. Are you lost?”
The big-eyed girl looked toward Sean.
The handsome boy wearing a black wool hat smiled at her.
“Yes. Are you going to Laughlin?”
“I’m sorry. I’m lost too. ”
Sean introduced himself.
“My name is Sean. ”
“My name is…
Rogue.
“”Uh…
that name.
”
Sean suddenly understood.
So this was Rogue—Marie.
No wonder she looked so familiar.
And if Rogue was here…
That meant Wolverine was inside!
Sean quickly turned around and looked at the large building behind them.
There were no windows on the first floor, only a large entrance.
A great many people were coming and going.
It looked like something lively was happening inside.
“Are you hungry?”
Rogue touched her stomach, which had been empty for half a day.
She nodded.
Her large eyes sparkled as she looked at Sean.
“I just finished the food I brought with me. ”
Sean smiled.
“Come on. I’ll buy you something else to eat. ”
With that, he followed the crowd into the building behind them.
Rogue looked around before following the seemingly friendly young man inside.
The moment Sean and Rogue entered, it felt like they had stepped into another world.
Outside, snow was falling heavily.
There weren’t many people around, and everything was quiet and peaceful.
But inside, the place was filled with shouting and noise.
People of all kinds moved back and forth.
When they reached the center, they saw a crowd gathered around an iron fighting cage.
Everyone was shouting excitedly. The spectators looked as though they had been injected with adrenaline, waving money around and cheering for the fighters they had bet on.
Bang!
One of the fighters inside the cage was knocked to the ground.
Those who had lost their bets immediately began cursing angrily.
Two staff members entered the cage, dragged the defeated fighter away, and carried him off the platform.
Standing inside the ring was a muscular man with his upper body exposed.
He gripped the iron fence with both hands, his back turned toward a fat man wearing a top hat.
The fat man held a microphone and shouted excitedly toward the crowd.
