Inside the alternate dimension above the rooftop, the previously endless grassland was undergoing a tremendous transformation.

Rumble!

Accompanied by a deafening roar, an enormous stone pillar resembling a column supporting the heavens suddenly rose from beneath the ground.Full novel: Marvel × Pokémon: The Legendary Summoning System — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Not far away, a lush forest sprang into existence as though someone had hit fast-forward, seedlings instantly racing through their entire growth cycle.

In mere moments, the alternate dimension that had originally been nothing more than an expanded version of the rooftop lawn was completely transformed!

[The host has constructed the suitable habitat ‘Great Forest’ for the Mythical Pokémon ‘Celebi.’ 200 Points have been spent.]

[While residing in this area, Celebi will gain 5 Experience Points per day.

[Within this area, Celebi can exert 200% of its combat power.]

[The host has constructed the suitable habitat ‘Sky Pillar’ for the Legendary Pokémon ‘Rayquaza.’ 200 Points have been spent.]

[While residing in this area, Rayquaza will gain 5 Experience Points per day.

[Within this area, Rayquaza can exert 200% of its combat power.]

Listening to the System’s notifications while personally witnessing the world around him transform, Adrian Cross felt both painfully reluctant to part with his Points and immensely satisfied at the same time.

A combined 400 Points was certainly no small amount.

Even so, Adrian Cross had spent them without hesitation.

There were two reasons.

First, like other Legendary and Mythical Pokémon, neither Celebi nor Rayquaza particularly enjoyed staying inside the System Space, which was essentially like being kept inside a Poké Ball.

Adrian Cross naturally wasn’t going to be stingy when it came to his own Pokémon.

Second, investing in suitable Pokémon habitats provided much more reliable returns.

The benefit of doubling their combat power within their respective habitats could be set aside for now.

What Adrian Cross really valued was the steady supply of daily Experience.

The rate might be somewhat slow, but it allowed his Pokémon to level up more quickly.

Compared to simply gambling his Points away on summons, this kind of return was undoubtedly much more reliable.

“Bi-bi!”

“Rrrah!”

Celebi happily darted through the forest, practically dancing with joy, while Rayquaza contentedly coiled itself around Sky Pillar and prepared to take a nap.

Seeing their reactions, Adrian Cross felt that he’d definitely made the right choice.

Of course, as far as Adrian Cross himself was concerned…

“System!

Spend 100 of my remaining Points on Pokémon food, then use every last Point I’ve got left on summons!”

As a hopeless gacha addict, Adrian Cross was determined to prove today that he had been blessed with the luck of a gacha god!

Ten minutes later…

“…Life really is…

sigh.”

After five consecutive summons yielded absolutely nothing, Adrian Cross sat dejectedly in the forest and sighed at the cruelty of life.

Beside him, Celebi giggled as it hugged his head and tried to pull him downward.

“Hmm?”

But just then, Adrian Cross’s expression suddenly changed.

This entire space had been created by the special item he had summoned—Palkia’s Spatial Core.

Adrian Cross could use the Spatial Core to control the alternate dimension.

And through his connection to the alternate dimension, he could also clearly perceive certain things happening outside.

“We’ve got visitors.”

After sensing the situation for a moment, Adrian Cross smiled.

At that very moment, two black sedans were parked outside the pet shop.

Plainclothes agents stood guard nearby, while Nick Fury himself had entered the shop accompanied by only two people.

One was the former S.H.I.E.L.D.

agent known as “The Cavalry,” Melinda May.

These two could basically be considered the subordinates Fury trusted most.

“Director, are we really just going straight in?”

Coulson was clearly somewhat uneasy.

“Based on what we learned from Stark, entering like this could be dangerous.”

“It wouldn’t make any difference.”

Nick Fury remained perfectly calm.

“If what Tony Stark told us is true, bringing one or two more agents wouldn’t accomplish anything.”

Clearly, through means unknown to Adrian Cross, they had already obtained information about him from Tony.

If there had been another choice, the King of Spies certainly wouldn’t have willingly put himself at risk.

But after the battle with Abomination, he could no longer afford to wait.

He needed to make direct contact with Adrian Cross and determine his stance.

That was why Fury had to come personally.

“…”

Coulson and Melinda said nothing more.

Remaining alert, they pushed open the door to the pet shop.

Then…

“Woof!

Woof!”

“Meow!”

“What the hell?!”

The sudden barking and meowing from the cats and dogs in their enclosures actually managed to startle all three highly tense agents.

“What are you panicking for?!”

Nick Fury looked at his subordinates in disappointment.

Even though he himself had just blurted out a curse.

“Bi-bi.”

But while the three of them were collecting themselves, Celebi suddenly appeared before them.

The little Pokémon extended one tiny hand and gestured toward the three.

Fury, Coulson, and Melinda simply stared blankly at it.

“That’s it!”

Coulson lowered his voice.

“That’s the ferocious and incredibly powerful creature Tony Stark mentioned.

I think he said its name was ‘Celebi.'”

“But it looks…

rather harmless.”

Melinda cautiously glanced at the adorable Celebi.

She simply couldn’t understand why Tony had described such a cute little creature as dangerous.

“No.

The cuter something looks, the more dangerous it is.”

Nick Fury’s expression was deadly serious.

“I lost my eye because I let my guard down.

And don’t forget—even that arrogant Tony Stark is developing specialized armor specifically to deal with this little creature.”

“Right…”

Melinda immediately became serious.

And so, the three of them stood there in a stiff standoff with Celebi, staring at each other.

Adrian Cross, who had been watching the entire scene unfold, didn’t even know where to begin.

Tony was actually developing Anti-Celebi Armor?

Just how deeply had that humiliating incident traumatized the guy? The source of this chapter is g.com.

And how could he possibly describe an adorable little creature like Celebi as ferocious and incredibly powerful?

As for Nick Fury’s eye, other people might not know the truth, but Adrian Cross certainly did.

The guy had clearly lost it after carelessly messing around with a cat and getting scratched!

Everyone in the Marvel universe always looked so serious.

Were they actually all comedians underneath?

“Celebi, just toss those three idiots up here.”

Unable to keep watching the three of them engage in a staring contest with Celebi, Adrian Cross finally gave the order.

“Bi-bi!”

Receiving its Trainer’s command, Celebi immediately waved a tiny hand toward the trio.

An enormous psychic force instantly seized all three of them.

“This is…”

From Fury and his agents’ perspective, they suddenly found themselves completely unable to move.

Then the world spun violently around them.

By the time the sensation stopped, it felt as though they’d been thrown onto the ground.

“W-where…

are we?”

When the three opened their eyes, they found themselves staring at a vast space completely unlike anything they had seen moments earlier.

An enormous forest stretched out before them, its canopy blotting out the sky.

And in the distance stood a colossal pillar that rose so high its summit couldn’t even be seen!

But before any of them could recover from their shock—

“ROOOAAAR!”

A heaven-shaking roar erupted from above.

A massive green-and-gold dragon descended from Sky Pillar!

BOOM!

Just before crashing down in front of Fury and the others, Rayquaza abruptly halted its descent.

The tremendous pressure of the displaced air forced all three agents to bend forward involuntarily.

“Rrrah…”

Golden dragon eyes stared down at Nick Fury.

Fury recognized it instantly.

It was the same overwhelmingly powerful dragon that had appeared in Manhattan only days earlier!

And now…

There was actually someone standing on its back.

“So, what exactly are the three of you doing barging into my little shop?”

Adrian Cross asked softly.

As if perfectly coordinating with him, Rayquaza released a low, threatening growl.

“…”

Coulson and Melinda quietly took half a step backward.

Nick Fury’s expression turned positively green.

“Mr.

Adrian…

ahem, Mr.

Adrian Cross—this is a misunderstanding.”

“I’m Nick Fury, Director of S.H.I.E.L.D.

These two are my subordinates.”

“Tony Stark referred us to you.”

“We’re not your enemies.”
