Peter swung forward at full speed and quickly caught up with the runaway train.

He flipped onto the roof, sprinted to the very front, then leaped down beside Tobey Spider-Man.

By now, Tobey Spider-Man was almost completely exhausted.Full novel: Marvel Spider-Man: Web of the Multiverse — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

When he saw another Spider-Man appear, he could not even speak.

All he could do was stare wide-eyed, his expression conveying his utter shock.

“My friend, there’s no need to look so surprised.

I’m not some impostor.”

Following Tobey Spider-Man’s example, Peter fired large amounts of webbing onto the facades of the buildings on both sides of the tracks.

Then he gripped the webs with both hands and pulled with all his strength.

“Let me take some of the strain off you.”

Buzz!

In an instant, a terrifying force pinned Peter against the front of the train, leaving him standing shoulder to shoulder with Tobey Spider-Man.

A crushing force like a collapsing mountain bore down on Peter’s arms.

Peter immediately clenched his teeth.

The tremendous strain split his gums, filling his mouth with the strong metallic taste of blood.

And this was only a small fraction of the impact generated by the runaway train.

Tobey Spider-Man was bearing most of it himself.

‘He can actually withstand an impact this powerful?

No wonder the First-Generation Spider-Man played by Tobey Maguire is considered ridiculously overpowered.

This is insane!’

Peter could not help but marvel at his strength.

But even more than Tobey Spider-Man’s absurd physical power, Peter admired his fearless courage.

Without relying on any high-tech equipment, he had used nothing but his own raw strength as a brake to stop a speeding runaway train.

It was no longer a question of whether it could be done, but whether someone had the courage to try.

Fear was a creature’s instinct.

Courage was humanity’s greatest virtue.

Tobey Spider-Man’s willingness to risk his life was one of the main reasons he was regarded as the most iconic Spider-Man.

With Peter’s help, Tobey Spider-Man’s burden was considerably lighter.

At the very least, he would not have to expend his last ounce of strength and fall unconscious as he had in the original storyline.

Peter’s appearance also prompted an enormous cheer from the passengers and the conductor.

They all realized that a second Spider-Man had appeared in their city, and they were the lucky first witnesses to it.

Their heartfelt joy and excitement even overwhelmed their fear of death.

Before long, Peter and Tobey Spider-Man finally brought the runaway train to a complete stop.

Panting heavily, Tobey Spider-Man released the webs in his hands and spoke his first words to Peter since they had met.

“Thank you…

um, Spider-Man No.

2.”

Peter paused, amused by Tobey Spider-Man’s creative nickname.

Before he could reply, Tobey Spider-Man suddenly cried out in alarm.

“Oh no!

Dr.

Otto is still attacking civilians!”

Tobey Spider-Man was about to go after Doctor Octopus and continue the fight when Peter stopped him.

“I already knocked Doctor Octopus out.

He’s over there.”

“Really?

That’s the best news I’ve heard all day!”

Summoning the last of his strength, Tobey Spider-Man followed Peter back to the place where Doctor Octopus had been left unconscious.

To Peter’s slight embarrassment, however, Doctor Octopus was gone.

Judging from the traces left behind, the mechanical Octopus Tentacles on Doctor Octopus’s back had apparently resumed functioning.

Doctor Octopus had then regained consciousness, broken free of the webbing, and escaped.

“There was a slight complication, but don’t worry.

Spider-Man always has a backup plan.”

Peter smiled, then activated the 3D projection on his new Web-Shooter under Tobey Spider-Man’s astonished gaze.

The projection displayed a virtual screen resembling a radar scanner.

A red dot blinked steadily on it.

Peter pointed to the red dot.

“When I knocked out Doctor Octopus, I slipped a few Spider-Trackers into the pocket of his trench coat.”

“This is Doctor Octopus’s current location.

He’s about 1.5 kilometers away, so catching up with him won’t be difficult.”

This new feature of the new Web-Shooter had been added at Peter’s suggestion.

S.H.I.E.L.D.’s technical capabilities truly were top-notch.

They had fulfilled Peter’s request in only three days.

“My goodness!

This level of technology is incredible!”

Tobey Spider-Man exclaimed, his eyes filled with curiosity.

In this universe, Tobey Spider-Man had studied physics as an undergraduate.

His advisor at Columbia University was Dr.

Curt Connors, and he had chosen Doctor Octopus’s nuclear fusion thesis as his research topic.

Because of this, Tobey Spider-Man was highly knowledgeable in both electronics and mechanical engineering.

He could tell at a glance that Peter’s equipment was extraordinarily advanced.

However, Tobey Spider-Man quickly set his curiosity aside.

His sense of responsibility as Spider-Man urged him to continue fighting.

“Then let’s go catch him right now!”

Just as Tobey Spider-Man raised his wrist to fire a web, he suddenly let out a muffled groan and clutched his arm, pain flashing across his face.

Stopping the runaway train had nearly drained all of Tobey Spider-Man’s strength, and his muscles were severely strained.

The fact that he could still stand and speak was already a miracle, let alone continue fighting.

Peter immediately reached out and steadied Tobey Spider-Man by the shoulder.

“Don’t push yourself.

Let’s go back to your place first.

You need to rest, eat something to recover your strength, treat your injuries, and repair your suit.

Then we can deal with Doctor Octopus.”

“My trackers have enough power to keep working for 72 hours.

We have plenty of time.”

“All right.”

Tobey Spider-Man sighed softly and nodded in resignation.

…

Tobey Spider-Man’s rented apartment was a top-floor studio in Manhattan’s Lower East Side.

Although the studio was small, everything was neat and spotless, giving the place a comfortable atmosphere.

That detail alone showed that beneath the Spider-Man suit, Tobey Spider-Man was someone who genuinely loved life.

After climbing through the window into the apartment, Peter helped Tobey Spider-Man sit on the edge of the bed.

He then sat down on the living room sofa.

It was a little worn, but still quite comfortable.

“Whew.

Now it’s time for a little chat between the two Peter Parkers.

No need to keep wearing this annoying mask.”

The moment Peter removed his Spider-Man mask, Tobey Spider-Man froze.

His blue-gray eyes remained fixed on Peter as the surprise on his face grew increasingly obvious.

The Spider-Man who had shocked him again and again from the moment he appeared was actually this young?

He looked no older than sixteen or seventeen.

More importantly, what this incredibly young Spider-Man had just said seemed to imply that his name was also Peter Parker.

The same identity, the same abilities, and the same name.

There was no way such a coincidence could exist.

Tobey Spider-Man realized that the situation was even more complicated than he had imagined.

“Who exactly are you?”
