Harry Osborn had been extremely busy lately.

Ever since learning that his best friend was Spider-Man, the fiercely competitive Harry Osborn had resolved to become a Superhero himself.

Of course, there was another reason behind his decision.Full novel: Marvel Spider-Man: Web of the Multiverse — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

He wanted to escape the identity of the Green Goblin’s son.

And the best way to do that was to become a Superhero who fought Villains.

The equipment displayed behind the secret door had originally belonged to the Green Goblin.

It included the Green Goblin suit, the Green Goblin skateboard, pumpkin bombs, and Goblin Razor Bats.

Using the Green Goblin’s equipment as a foundation, Harry Osborn mobilized the full research capabilities of Oscorp’s technology division.

With Doctor Octopus’s assistance, he gave the entire arsenal a comprehensive upgrade.

The two Spider-Men had come here today at Harry Osborn’s invitation.

“I’ll prove to both of you that I’m strong enough to protect others.”

Excitement gleamed in Harry Osborn’s eyes as he slowly stepped through the secret door.

A few minutes later, Harry Osborn emerged wearing a complete white-and-gold high-tech battle suit.

Beneath his feet was a golden aircraft that looked as though it had been forged from solid gold.

“From this moment on, my name is…

the Gold Goblin!”

…

…

At noon on the third day after Spider-Man declared war on the Green Goblin, Times Square, New York City.

That day, Times Square was destined to become a place countless New Yorkers would remember for the rest of their lives.

It was here that Spider-Man would give them an unprecedented final showdown.

Since early that morning, countless people had poured into Times Square from every part of New York City.

Judging by the density of the crowd, more than three million people had already gathered at the scene.

Fortunately, the NYPD and the National Guard had prepared well in advance, sealing off most of Times Square.

This was both to protect the people of New York and to provide the combatants with a suitable battlefield.

Of course, even more people were gathered in front of their televisions, waiting for the networks to broadcast the fight live from helicopters.

Their numbers would exceed at least 150 million.

Amid this overwhelming anticipation, two red-and-blue figures had already arrived in Times Square without anyone noticing.

“Do you think the Green Goblin will come?”

Tobey Spider-Man stood atop one of Times Square’s enormous LED screens.

As he looked at the crowd packed beyond the barricades, far denser than expected, worry crept into his expression.

“He’ll come.

With the Green Goblin’s twisted need to control everything, there’s no way he would miss an event this big.”

“For him, this is also a rare opportunity to satisfy his warped desire for dominance.”

Peter spoke calmly and confidently, as though he could see directly into the Green Goblin’s mind.

A few minutes later, another figure in white and gold appeared.

Harry Osborn had arrived as the Gold Goblin.

As he looked out at the endless sea of people in the distance, Harry Osborn’s heart began pounding uncontrollably.

This was a little too much spectacle for his debut as a Superhero.

The last to arrive was Doctor Octopus, wearing a brand-new suit of alloy armor.

Since regaining his normal personality, Doctor Octopus had devoted himself to making amends for his past mistakes.

He had personally insisted on taking part in today’s battle.

With that, the somewhat unusual team was fully assembled.

Everything was ready.

All they had to do was wait for the Green Goblin to appear.

“Is all this really necessary just to deal with the Green Goblin?”

Fully armed, Doctor Octopus looked puzzled.

Peter immediately shook his head.

“Never underestimate the Green Goblin.

There’s no way he spent the past two years doing nothing.

He definitely has a ‘big surprise’ waiting for us.”

As if to prove Peter right, several blurry black dots appeared on the distant horizon at almost that exact moment.

They flew at astonishing speed.

In the blink of an eye, they became clearly visible and reached the skies above Times Square.

BOOM!

A massive shadow crashed into the center of Times Square like a meteor.

As the dust cleared, the Rhino’s enormous body slowly rose to its feet.

The Scorpion stood on the Rhino’s shoulder with his arms crossed.

The Vulture descended next, beating his wings as he landed.

Finally, the Green Goblin made his entrance like a monarch.

He rode his Green Goblin skateboard, surrounded by ten Green Goblin soldiers.

Every media camera at the scene turned toward him at once.

The next second, the Green Goblin’s hideous figure appeared on every LED screen in Times Square.

The Green Goblin burst into a string of chilling laughter, clearly pleased by the attention.

Just as he had declared, he was the ruler of New York, and a ruler deserved such a grand reception.

However, the sweeping close-ups were clearly not reserved for him alone.

They were more like a routine introduction before the main event.

When Peter and Tobey Spider-Man dropped from above, every screen immediately focused on the two Spider-Men.

The Gold Goblin and Doctor Octopus then made their entrances one after another.

A tidal wave of cheers shook the sky.

The Green Goblin stopped laughing.

Spider-Man had stolen all the attention.

Peter raised an eyebrow and gestured toward the Green Goblin’s team.

“Looks like you’ve been doing pretty well these past two years, buddy.

You even put together your own team.

Life in the sewers must be treating you nicely.”

Peter was somewhat surprised by the four Villains standing across from them.

The ten intimidating Green Goblin soldiers were especially concerning.

Their presence made Peter realize that the Green Goblin Serum had probably gone through another two upgrades.

“Looks like the boss was right.

No matter which Spider-Man it is, they’re all equally annoying.”

The Vulture’s voice was shrill, and he looked at Peter with open eagerness.

“Green Goblin, surrender.

You can’t beat us.”

Tobey Spider-Man tried to persuade him, but he had forgotten how the Green Goblin had ambushed him two years earlier.

“Surrender?

Have your teammates swallow my pumpkin bombs, and I might consider it.”

The Green Goblin raised a hand and hurled ten pumpkin bombs at once.

Warned by their Spider-Sense, Peter and Tobey Spider-Man simultaneously raised their hands and fired a dense net of spider-silk.

With a powerful swing, the two of them flung every pumpkin bomb high into the air.

BOOM—!!

A massive burst of brilliant fire exploded overhead, signaling the beginning of the final showdown.

The Rhino lowered his enormous body and aimed his dark green horn at Peter.

All four limbs pushed against the ground at once, shattering the asphalt beneath him like tofu.

Peter’s Spider-Sense screamed with a lethal warning.

He tightened his core and performed a standing backflip.

The Rhino’s horn missed Peter’s back by mere centimeters.

Having missed his target, the Rhino shot forward like a missile skimming the ground and smashed straight through a souvenir shop beside the street.

The Vulture beat his wings and soared into the air, diving toward Tobey Spider-Man like a hunting falcon.

Doctor Octopus intercepted him halfway and sent him flying.

His mechanical Octopus Tentacles collided with the Vulture’s bone-covered wings, scattering a trail of sparks.

The Green Goblin rose into the air with a vicious grin, intending to use his aerial advantage to bombard them with pumpkin bombs.

But Harry Osborn had been waiting for him.

He hurled several Gold Goblin boomerangs and blocked the Green Goblin’s advance.

The moment the final showdown began, it plunged into brutal close-quarters combat.
