[[CHAPTER_TITLE]]
Seeing Wanda staring down in silence, Gaia took a deep breath, fighting to keep his composure and suppress his anger.
The Scarlet Witch was a powerhouse who could rewrite reality; she might be the one to save his life one day.
He had to be careful with her—no sense in losing the big picture over a small grievance.
Just as Gaia had calmed down and was about to tell Wanda to let go of Little Gaia, his phone began to ring.
Gaia pulled the phone from his pocket and checked the caller ID: Richard Fisk.
“Wanda, put this guy down for a second.
I need to take a call.”
With that, Gaia stepped aside to answer.
Hearing Gaia’s words, Wanda nodded like an obedient young wife and waved her hand, dispelling the Chaos Magic acting on Little Gaia.
Little Gaia hit the floor with a thud, bounced a couple of times, and immediately sprang up, cursing at the top of his lungs:
“Motherf***ing f***!
You Babylonian harlot, you succubus witch!
How dare you treat me like this!”
Despite the meltdown, Wanda didn’t get angry.
Instead, a strange feeling rose within her.
She rubbed her thighs together, her face flushing a deeper shade of red, looking every bit like a bashful red rose.
…
“Hello?
What’s up, Richard?
Did something happen?”
Richard: “Nothing like that, Big Brother Gaia.
I’ve checked out those five guys; they’re nothing but absolute idiots.
They heard the Ares Club is popular with high society and thought they’d kidnap a few rich people for ransom.”
Gaia snorted upon hearing the details.
He had expected as much; after all, the reputation of the “civilian” population in American comics wasn’t a joke.
Still, knowing the reason was *actually* this made him lose it.
What kind of joke was this?
Don’t you do a little reconnaissance before you rob a place to see whose turf it is?
Do you not understand the importance of intelligence?
How can you attempt a robbery without knowing the basics?
“Is the information reliable?”
Richard: “I had my dad help me look into it.”
“Then it’s reliable.
Good job, Richard.
I’ll add a three-thousand-dollar bonus to your pay this month.”
Richard’s voice became noticeably more cheerful.
“Really?
That’s awesome!
I love you to death, Big Brother Gaia!”
“?” × 2
Wanda: “You have found your path to death.”
Disgusted by Richard’s behavior, Gaia’s hand stopped mid-air as he was about to hang up.
He barked harshly into the phone:
“Stop being so damn disgusting, Richard.
If you do that again, I’ll have Odebiao apply some lubricant and take you to a gay bar.
I’m sure you’d be very popular.
Don’t worry, I’ll use my connections to get you the best proctologist afterward to make sure your backside stays sealed and you don’t end up like a seagull—shitting while you eat.”
Richard hurriedly apologized.
He knew that if Gaia actually did it, his parents wouldn’t say a word; in fact, they would probably thank Gaia for correcting his bad habits.
As benefactors of the Fisk family, both his parents—and Richard himself—held Gaia in high esteem, viewing him as the family’s best friend.
“I’m very sorry, Big Brother Gaia.
Rest assured, I won’t do it again.
Oh, by the way, my father is hosting a charity gala in three days.
He asked me to invite you.
I forgot to mention it; I’m not sure if you’re free.”
Gaia scratched his head.
Fisk was indeed a well-known philanthropist.
“Sure, I’ll be there.
Do I need to prepare anything?”
Richard replied happily, “No preparation needed, just your presence.
Of course, if you can bring your family or a female companion, I think my mother would be very pleased.
You know, she’s always wanted to be your godmother.”
Gaia glanced at Wanda, who was standing nearby.
Upon hearing the words “female companion,” her eyes lit up.
“Fine, I got it.
But don’t bring up that last part again, Richard.
You know if I privately take on a godmother, my old man and my big-mouthed godfather will nag me to death.”
Richard chuckled.
“Fair point.
Let’s leave it at that then.
I’ll go tell my mother the good news.
See you later, Big Brother Gaia.”
“See you, Richard.”
After hanging up, Gaia looked at Wanda, who was staring at him with wide, expectant eyes.
After a long silence, he arched an eyebrow.
“Don’t tell me that dress from before doesn’t fit anymore.”
Wanda’s face turned a faint pink.
She slowly looked down at herself.
Previously, she had been able to see her toes.
But she didn’t regret it; she had specifically sought out information that Gaia liked them “big.”
“I couldn’t help it,” she murmured.
Gaia sighed softly.
“Fine.
Go change, and I’ll take you to get a gown tailored.
As you heard, the gala is in three days.
Time is tight.”
“Okay!”
Wanda nodded eagerly, turned around, and skipped back to her dressing room.
“Noooo!”
Little Gaia watched Wanda’s departing figure and then turned to Gaia, suddenly dropping to his knees and wailing in grief.
“Take my advice, pal!
You’re going to be sucked dry by that succubus witch!
A fresh-faced girl like Gwen is more your speed!”
Little Gaia’s crying was so pitiful it could make a stone heart bleed.
Gaia only felt a throbbing pain in his temples.
“Why are you holding a funeral here?
Gwen is only fifteen.
Do you want me to go to prison and face the electric chair?
Get lost!”
Gaia took a running start and delivered a high-impact soccer kick straight to Little Gaia’s face, sending him flying.
Watching Little Gaia bounce around the room like a soccer ball, Gaia wore a satisfied smile.
“Gaia, I’m changed.”
Wanda’s voice rang out.
Gaia looked over and saw Wanda walking toward him, wearing tight leather pants and a red leather trench coat.
Um, how should he put this…
It was classic, but it was terrible.
What kind of insane American aesthetic was this?
It might look okay in 2D AI art, but in reality, this combination was an absolute disaster.
Ultimately, Gaia couldn’t hold back.
“Wanda, why do you insist on wearing a leather trench coat and tight leather pants?”
The smile froze on Wanda’s face, and her heart skipped a beat.
“You don’t like it?
Everyone dresses like this.”
Gaia nodded slightly, pursing his lips.
“It’s not that.
It’s sexy, but I usually only see that outfit on defeated female warriors in adult anime.
Do you get what I mean?
It’s a bit…
suggestive.”
Wanda blushed and whispered, “Don’t you like it when it’s suggestive?”
Gaia: “?”
Little Gaia crossed his arms, wearing an “I told you so” expression.
“See?
What did I say?
Babylonian harlot!
Succubus witch!”
Gaia opened his mouth to speak.
*Ring ring~*
The familiar ringtone sounded again.
Gaia glanced at Wanda and pulled his phone out again.
He checked the caller: Pepper Potts.
“?”
Why was Pepper calling him?
Shouldn’t she be dealing with Tony Stark’s disappearance?
Glancing at Wanda, Gaia answered the phone.
“Miss Potts.”
Pepper: “I’m sorry to call you outside of work hours, Mr.
Parker—”
Before Pepper could finish, Tony Stark’s voice came through the line.
“Gaia…”
Little Gaia leaned in toward the phone.
“Tony Stark’s already been rescued.”
Gaia slapped him away and responded, “Mr.
Stark, it’s good to hear your voice again.
I thought I’d be attending your funeral.
You know, I already had my clothes and eulogy prepared.”
After a long silence, Tony Stark’s voice came back, sounding serious.
“Gaia, I need your help.”
This time, it was Gaia’s turn to be silent.
“Mr.
Stark, I am your private fitness coach, not a bodyguard.
Happy is—”
Stark: “Come on…
Gaia, I’m asking you as a friend.
Please.”
Gaia’s heart softened; as everyone knew, he was a sentimental guy.
He sighed.
“If I encounter any sign of danger…”
Stark cut in: “…you can act as you please without any hesitation.
I will handle the cleanup for everything, even if it involves killing.”
Gaia frowned, realizing something was wrong.
Given Tony Stark’s pride, he would never seek help unless he was facing something extremely difficult—especially since they had a bit of a rift right now.
“It sounds like things are serious.
Tony, do we need to meet and talk?”
Tony Stark: “Come to Stark Tower tonight.”
Gaia looked at Wanda beside him again.
“Wanda is currently standing next to me with a blank expression.”
Tony Stark was silent for a long time before speaking in a raspy voice.
“As long as she isn’t screaming about wanting to kill me, bring her along.”
Gaia hung up.
He looked at Wanda.
“Do you want to go?”
Wanda tucked a lock of hair behind her ear.
“That arms dealer is a magnet for trouble.
You’ll need my help.”
Gaia was about to tell her not to force herself, but Wanda spoke again.
“Don’t worry, I won’t be impulsive and make things difficult for you.
Pietro and I have thought about it a lot these past few months, but we still hate that arms dealer.”
Gaia and Little Gaia locked eyes, both agreeing with Wanda’s sentiment.
“You’re right.
He really is annoying.
He’s just an arrogant, rude, bratty little shit.”
