….
India, Chennai…
Sanjay, a twenty two year old who had just graduated from college, stood silently in the middle of the living room as his grandfather’s stern voice echoed through the house.
“I spent years teaching you discipline, yet you couldn’t even secure a campus placement!”
The old man barked, his military bearing still intimidating despite his age.
“Do you know how difficult life is outside?
Companies won’t hand you a job because you have a degree!”
Sanjay lowered his head, accepting every word without protest.
His parents had died in a tragic car accident when he was only five years old.
From that day onward, his grandparents became both his parents and his entire world.
His grandmother had showered him with unconditional love, always encouraging him to follow his dreams no matter how many times he stumbled.
His grandfather was the complete opposite.
A retired military officer, the old man believed that discipline, resilience, and responsibility were the only ways a man could survive in the world.
His harsh words were never born from hatred but from worry, though he rarely knew how to express it.
After venting his frustration, the old man snorted before walking into his room, leaving behind an uncomfortable silence.
His grandmother gently walked over and rested a wrinkled hand on Sanjay’s shoulder.
“Don’t mind him,”
She said softly with a warm smile.
“He’s only worried about you.”
Sanjay forced a smile.
“I know, Paati1.”
After reassuring her that he was fine, he stepped outside for a walk.
The cool evening breeze brushed across his face as he wandered aimlessly through the streets, trying to clear the storm inside his mind.
He hated disappointing them.
They had sacrificed everything to raise him.
Yet even after graduating, he still couldn’t give them the peaceful retirement they deserved.
“I’ll find a job soon…”
He muttered to himself.
Then…
A strange chill ran down his spine.
The sunlight above him disappeared.
His instincts made him look up.
“…What?”
His pupils shrank.
A massive truck had somehow flipped into the air and was plummeting upside down directly toward him.
It was as though fate itself had patiently waited for this exact moment to launch an ambush.
“There is no way…”
BOOM!
Darkness swallowed everything.
“…”
“…”
“Gasp!”
Sanjay shot upright, taking deep breaths as though he had just surfaced from drowning.
His chest rose and fell violently while cold sweat covered his body.
“W…
where am I?”
He quickly scanned his surroundings.
This wasn’t a hospital.
Nor was it his small bedroom back home.
Instead, he found himself inside an incredibly luxurious apartment.
Floor-to-ceiling windows overlooked a breathtaking city skyline filled with towering skyscrapers.
The furniture looked expensive.
Modern.
Elegant.
Even the bed he was sitting on was softer than anything he had ever slept on.
Before he could gather his thoughts…
“Argh!”
An unbearable pain exploded inside his head.
It felt as if someone had slammed a sledgehammer into the back of his skull.
Fragments of memories that didn’t belong to him flooded his mind.
Names.
Faces.
Conversations.
Birthdays.
Schools.
Parents.
A different life.
Minutes later, the pain finally subsided.
Sanjay remained frozen.
“No…”
He whispered in disbelief.
“I’m…
Raja?”
Everyone called him Raj.
His parents were both engineers working for Stark Industries.
They were alive.
Healthy.
And…
His grandparents…
“They’re visiting New York today…”
Raja’s face turned deathly pale.
Only then did the full realization crash into him.
“I’m in…
Marvel.”
His breathing became uneven.
“This isn’t just the MCU…”
He remembered far too much.
Heroes.
Villains.
Hydra.
Mutants.
Inhumans.
Aliens.
Gods.
Sorcerers.
Ancient demons.
Celestials.
Symbiotes.
Self-proclaimed saviors.
Psychopaths with enough power to erase cities.
And somewhere out there…
A purple alien farmer who could wipe out half the universe with a snap of his fingers.
“…I’m so dead.”
The thought alone made him shiver.
Without wasting another second, Raja hurried toward the bathroom.
His footsteps echoed across the polished wooden floor before he stopped in front of the large mirror.
The moment he looked up…
He froze.
“….”
The person staring back at him was breathtakingly handsome.
He appeared to be around 16 old,
With thick dark brown hair that fell to the nape of his neck in slightly wavy layers, giving him a naturally rugged yet stylish look.
A simple black hairband pushed the loose strands away from his forehead, revealing a well-defined face with sharp features.
His striking hazel green eyes carried an unusual intensity, framed by thick eyebrows and long lashes that made his gaze difficult to ignore.
A straight nose, neatly trimmed beard, and well-groomed mustache complemented a strong jawline, while his lightly tanned complexion gave him a healthy, athletic appearance.
Even dressed casually in a sleeveless white shirt, his toned shoulders and lean build hinted at someone who exercised regularly.
“…”
“…Damn.”
Even he couldn’t help staring for several seconds.
If his old appearance had been that of an ordinary college graduate, this body looked like it belonged to a successful model or movie star.
But the excitement lasted only a moment.
His expression slowly dimmed.
His thoughts drifted back to another world.
To another home.
His grandfather.
His grandmother.
They would have found his body.
They must be devastated.
His grandmother…
She would have cried herself to sleep.
His grandfather…
Even if the old man never showed it, Raja knew he would blame himself for their final argument.
A knot formed in his throat.
He clenched his fists.
“I’m sorry…”
His voice was barely a whisper.
“I couldn’t even say goodbye.”
Closing his eyes, Raja silently folded his hands in prayer.
“Wherever I am…
whoever is listening…”
“Please…”
“Give them the strength to move forward.”
“They’ve already lost their son and daughter.”
“They don’t deserve to lose their grandson too.”
For several moments, the apartment remained silent.
When Raja finally opened his eyes again, the grief was still there.
But beneath it…
A spark of determination had begun to burn.
Whatever fate had brought him to this dangerous world…
He would survive.
Not just for himself.
But so that the life his grandparents had raised him to live would never be wasted.
Raja stood before the mirror for several more moments before letting out a long sigh.
“So…
I’m sixteen?”
He muttered while recalling the newly inherited memories.
Unlike his previous life where he had already completed college at twenty two, Raja was currently only sixteen years old.
A tenth-grade student.
A sophomore.
And beginning tomorrow…
He would be attending Midtown High School.
“…The same Midtown High where Peter Parker studies.”
His eyelids twitched.
“Of all the schools in New York…
why did it have to be that one?”
His mind immediately pictured every disaster associated with Spider-Man.
Alien invasions.
Supervillains.
Robots.
Explosions.
Mad scientists.
Symbiotes.
Multiversal incidents.
“I don’t know whether I should feel lucky or start writing my will.”
As he was organizing the memories of Raja’s life, his expression suddenly changed.
A translucent green screen materialized before his eyes.
It floated silently in midair, visible only to him.
Tiny streams of emerald light danced across its surface before words slowly appeared.
[Initializing…]
[Synchronization Complete.]
[Scanning Host…]
[Soul Compatibility: 100%]
[Life Signature Confirmed.]
A mechanical yet strangely pleasant voice echoed inside his mind.
“Greetings, Host.”
Raja’s eyes widened.
“…A system?”
The interface shimmered.
“Affirmative.”
“Welcome, Host.”
“I am the Multiversal Legacy System.”
The emerald interface expanded into several panels, displaying elegant golden text.
“Multiversal Legacy System”
“Purpose
Assist the Host in growing strong enough to survive and influence the countless worlds of the Multiverse by inheriting the legacies of extraordinary individuals.”
“Primary Method
Meet important characters throughout the universe.
Each significant encounter grants the Host Experience Points (XP).
Accumulating sufficient XP will increase the System Level.”
“System Rewards
Upon every level increase, the Host will receive one Character Template.
Templates contain the abilities, talents, combat instincts, knowledge, and potential of exceptional beings from across the Multiverse.
The stronger the template, the greater the potential.”
“Template Synchronization
Initially, every newly acquired template begins at 1% synchronization.
For every System Level gained, all existing templates automatically increase their synchronization and proficiency.
The higher the synchronization…
The closer the Host comes to completely inheriting that character’s abilities.”
“Special Notice
Meeting the same important individual multiple times provides diminishing XP.
Historical figures, heroes, villains, gods, cosmic entities, and legendary individuals all qualify as important characters.”
The interface slowly faded until only a single notification remained.
[Current System Level: 1]
[Current XP: 0/100]
[Templates Owned: None]
Silence filled the room.
Raja stared blankly.
Once.
Twice.
Three times.
Then he read everything all over again.
“…”
“…”
“…HAHAHAHA!”
He nearly burst into laughter.
“This…”
“This is cheating!”
His heart began pounding with excitement.
“So I don’t need to complete ridiculous missions?”
“No suicidal beginner quests?”
“No punishment for refusing tasks?”
The system replied immediately.
“Negative.”
“The Host is free to act according to his own will.”
“The System merely rewards the Host for forging connections with significant figures and walking his chosen path.”
Raja’s grin widened.
“In other words…
I just have to meet important people?”
Doctor Strange.
Tony Stark.
Peter Parker.
Steve Rogers.
Thor.
Nick Fury.
The Ancient One.
Charles Xavier.
Reed Richards.
Even the villains…
Loki.
Magneto.
Doctor Doom.
Thanos.
His breathing became heavier as one name after another flashed through his mind.
Every one of them…
Was walking experience.
Every encounter…
Would make him stronger.
Raja slowly rubbed his palms together, a wide, eager smile spreading across his face.
“Hehehe…”
The expression on his handsome face was so deviously delighted that anyone walking into the room at that moment would have mistaken him for the mastermind of an evil organization preparing to conquer the world.
Unfortunately for the Marvel Universe…
He wasn’t plotting world domination.
He was simply imagining all the legendary people he was about to “accidentally” bump into.
And for the first time since waking in this dangerous new reality, genuine excitement drowned out his fear.
