“Yeah.
I’m coming.”
Five seconds later, Ethan appeared inside Tony’s house.
He had accidentally smashed a bear-paw-shaped hole through the wall.
Ethan immediately saw Tony sitting weakly on the floor.
The Arc Reactor in his chest was missing.
When Tony saw Ethan arrive so quickly, a look of surprise and relief appeared in his eyes.
He struggled to raise his hand and pointed toward a glass case on the table.
Inside was another Arc Reactor.
Ethan immediately grabbed it.
He smashed the glass against the floor, took out the reactor, and installed it in Tony’s chest.
At that moment, Colonel Rhodes hurried into the room.
Seeing Tony in such a state, Rhodes assumed Ethan was responsible.
He immediately launched a flying kick at Ethan.
Ethan didn’t fight back.
He simply dodged left and right, avoiding every attack.
“Stop!”
“Rhodey, Ethan is my friend!”
“He’s the one who saved me!”
Tony had finally recovered enough strength to shout.
He wasn’t worried about Ethan getting hurt.
He was worried that Rhodey might anger Ethan and end up getting launched halfway across the world.
“Thank God, Tony!”
“You’re alright.”
Rhodes then looked at Ethan.
“I’m really sorry, kid.”
“But you’re pretty damn good.
I couldn’t hit you even once.”
“It’s fine.”
Ethan waved his hand.
“Tony, what happened?”
He deliberately pretended not to know anything.
“Obadiah.”
“He did this to me.”
“He took the Arc Reactor from my chest.”
Tony’s expression became serious.
“Pepper is in danger too.”
“Ethan, go protect Pepper first.
I’ll follow you.”
Tony immediately walked toward the mechanical arms and began putting on his Iron Man armor.
“Cool…”
“I swear, that’s the coolest thing I’ve ever seen.”
Rhodes stared at Tony in amazement.
“Tony, I can send you there.”
“My ability has improved.”
“I can now repel people without injuring them.”
“Really?”
Tony’s eyes immediately lit up.
“If that’s true, then the strategic value of our abilities together is far greater than simply one plus one.”
“Send me there.”
“The location is 180 kilometers north of here.”
Ethan didn’t hesitate.
Once Tony finished putting on his armor, Ethan walked over and slapped him.
A three-meter-wide, bear-paw-shaped hole suddenly appeared in the ceiling.
Tony disappeared.
“What the hell just happened?”
“Where did Tony go?”
Rhodes stared at the empty space in disbelief.
“I sent him over.”
“I’m going to take a look too.”
Before Rhodes could react, Ethan activated his ability and disappeared.
When Ethan arrived, Tony was already fighting Obadiah.
Pepper was standing nearby, completely helpless.
The moment she saw Ethan, she hurriedly called out.
“Ethan!”
“Go help Tony!”
“Obadiah is the bad guy.”
“He was the one behind Tony’s kidnapping!”
“Bear Cub!”
Tony also noticed Ethan.
“Get Pepper out of here.”
“Don’t interfere yet.”
“If I can’t handle him, then step in.”
“Obadiah has to pay for what he did.”
Before Tony could say anything else, Obadiah’s Iron Monger armor kicked him to the ground.
“I’ve been helping you for thirty years, Tony!”
Obadiah grabbed Tony and slammed him into the ground.
Then he stepped on him again.
“I built this company from nothing!”
“No one is going to stand in my way!”
“Especially not you!”
Obadiah repeatedly stomped on Tony’s armor.
“Get Pepper out of here!”
“Leave this to me!”
Tony was thrown away again.
He used the thrusters in his hands and feet to stabilize himself in midair.
“Not bad.”
“You’ve improved the armor.”
“I’ve improved a few things myself.”
“I’ll show you later.”
Obadiah suddenly looked toward Pepper.
“But first, I’ll kill the woman you care about.”
“Let’s see if you regret losing her.”
He charged toward Pepper and threw a punch.
But with Ethan standing right there, how could he possibly succeed?
Ethan instantly appeared in front of Iron Monger’s fist.
He raised his right hand.
“Repel.”
Obadiah’s enormous armored body was instantly blasted backward.
He crashed into a car.
“Impossible!”
“Who the hell are you?”
Obadiah stared at Ethan in disbelief.
How could an ordinary-looking person block the fist of his Iron Monger armor and send him flying?
Ethan ignored him.
He turned toward Pepper and raised his hand.
“Don’t worry.”
Then he slapped her.
Pepper disappeared.
Ethan slapped himself immediately afterward.
He reappeared beside Pepper on the rooftop of a nearby seven-story building.
The two silently watched the battle below.
“Wow.”
“Ethan, you’re incredible.”
“Tony has told me about your abilities, but seeing it in person is completely different.”
Pepper looked at him in amazement.
“Thanks.”
“Let’s just watch from here.”
“If Tony gets into danger, I’ll step in.”
Ethan liked Pepper quite a bit because of her relationship with Hannah.
“Alright.”
“Then I feel much safer.”
Pepper finally relaxed and turned her attention back to the battle.
Below them, the fight became increasingly intense.
Tony was completely outmatched.
He eventually lured Obadiah into flying high into the sky.
The extreme cold caused the Iron Monger armor to freeze.
Tony then knocked Obadiah out of the sky.
However, Tony had also almost completely drained his own power.
He staggered through the air and eventually landed on the rooftop where Ethan and Pepper were standing.
Tony immediately opened his helmet and began removing his armor.
“I’m out of power.”
“I have to take the armor off.”
“Otherwise, I don’t know how I’m getting home.”
“Pepper, are you alright?”
“I’m fine.”
Pepper sighed in relief.
“What about Obadiah?”
“Obadiah should be finished.”
“I don’t know for sure.”
“But I should recharge first.”
Tony only knew that Obadiah had fallen from a great height.
He wasn’t sure whether he had survived.
“Hey, Tony.”
“That move was pretty good.”
Obadiah suddenly flew up from below.
His enormous armored hands grabbed Tony.
Tony had only managed to remove one of the armor’s gauntlets.
“Bear Cub!”
“Help!”
“I’ve got no energy left!”
Tony immediately called out.
Ethan saw that Tony was in danger.
He quickly pulled out a titanium alloy ball.
He flicked it toward Obadiah.
The instant the ball left his hand, Ethan activated his ability.
The titanium alloy ball pierced straight through the Iron Monger armor.
It passed directly through Obadiah’s forehead.
The ball disappeared into the distance.
Obadiah’s body went limp.
The Iron Monger armor also stopped moving.
Obadiah was dead.
Tony remained silent for a moment.
He walked over, opened the armor, and pulled Obadiah’s body out.
He placed him on the ground and sighed quietly.
“Thanks for today, Bear Cub.”
“I have some things to deal with Pepper.”
“I’ll properly thank you when I have time.”
Ethan nodded.
He was about to leave when he suddenly remembered something.
He turned back toward Tony.
“Today’s battle was definitely caught on camera.”
“The media will probably force you to explain everything.”
“If you decide to reveal anything about yourself…”
“Remember the name I chose for myself.”
Tony looked at him curiously.
Ethan grinned.
“The Tyrant Bear.”
With that, Ethan activated his ability and disappeared.
